Location, staff, simple but quiet room

Perfect location

I wanted to be right in the middle of things and stay someone economical. This turned out to be the perfect option! The hotel feels authentic, the staff are amazing, and I could step out the door to amazing food options and jump right on the tram.

Fantastic location right next to the Place de la Comedie. Room was basic but clean. The receptionist was helpful and friendly.

The booking.com listing says a €100 cash damage deposit is needed - I made sure I had cash, but then this wasn't asked for, so a little frustrating that I exchanged currency specially!

Loved my accommodations! Room was breathtaking and I loved the terrace that overlooked the street. Weather was perfect and I wish I had stayed more than one night!!!

The location..and the water pressure of the shower was décent...and the staff were really nice..just there were some communication issues. For a 2* hotel, in peak season in the location it was. Can't really complain about size of room, price, quality of facilities (with the exception of the bed( All functional

The bed was very uncomfortable... and we had 2 worrying moments. Firstly. We originally booked 1 night but due to some logistical issues booked 2 extra nights . With clear explanation of this on arrival the evening receptionist confirmed all this was clear and we had the same room for all 3 nights but This caused epic confusion the next day and if we hadn't been around to sort it all the morning receptionist was going to have our stuff taken out and charge us an extra night. Perhaps better communication between the 2 receptionists was needed? Secondly.. the test payment was quite late being repayed which was a bit worrying. Perhaps it's normal to take so long.. but after the extra night fiasco and on check out the morning receptionist saying she had no idea how it all worked it simply caused some end of trip anxiety. All staff were lovely. ... especially the cleaner who was very helpful and possibly the best trained but unnecessary stress was caused by possible lack of training and decent communication

The breakfast and location were perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. Our room with en suite bathroom and air conditioning was clean and comfortable and everything worked well (except maybe the WiFi). Also, we had a nice view from our balcony window.

The WiFi could have been a bit better. It was a bit slow and I had difficulty downloading my e-mails.

The location was perfect, close to the tram station and shops.

Simple, clean, small hotel. Great location and wonderful, friendly staff. Single room was very small but more than adequate for the price.

AVOID THIS HOTEL. Builder materials in piles in the hallway. Walls painted a creepy black. Shower was unusable as water didn’t come out downwards, but sideways; it flooded the floor and soaked my clothes. There was no phone in the room to ring reception. I had to go downstairs to explain the situation to the woman on the desk. I requested a different room to shower and was told there was none. The receptionist came to the room and I demonstrated the shower for her to prove that there was no way we could shower there. I requested a partial refund and was told absolutely not. This hotel is badly run and only cares about taking your money; not about you or your experience. We had to check out at 9 am and book into the Ibis across the road to get a shower. We paid full fee for an horrendous experience. Save yourself and avoid the hell.

Everything. Especially the shower that soaked my clothes and was unusable. And that the hotel refused any partial refund because the room had no useable shower.
