There are building works right outside the hotel front, infront of the hotel, so the pool isn’t relaxing at all, and the view is ruined by a crane. No warning of the works upon booking or check in

Great spot and nice room

We had a harbor view and out window was extremely dirty. We booked his room and time due to the fireworks in the harbor but it was spoiled by a very dirty window view

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we enjoyed the most delightful service and smiles from every single staff member we encountered. The view of the harbour was stunning but still quiet. I will be back and have already been telling everyone how wonderful it was. Thank you.

There was a long wait to check in. There were only a few in line and 3 staff checking in so it should have been quick. But one customer took up more than 20 mins and I wonder if there is a way to deal with problem issues in another way. These things can happen of course but it was made worse by one of the other 2 remaining staff leaving the front desk and when he returned he was shuffling papers and not attending to those waiting. Also there was no apologies for the long wait

Nothing really

Staff at reception not welcoming. No one bothers to greet you at the door, reception staff was just doing her job as if she had no choice. It was disappointing to see the hospitality. The corridor carpet smells all along like wet carpet. Pool area not great. Very noisy from the construction around. The bar service poor, the girl was doing all cocktails and she couldn’t do it herself. The bar fridges door are so dirty when you look over the counter.

Staff: friendly and helpful. Hotel Location: is close to Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour at its doorstep. Its position is next to the Sydney Conference Convention Centre which is handy for trade shows and access to all that Darling Harbour has to offer. Transport: It has the light rail and the hop on and off bus at it's door step Disability Accessible: Can fit a standard sized wheelchair on site and in the rooms. Food: I recommend the breakfast inclusion it's amazing and making a reservation at Atlier Restaurant inside the complex its unforgetable. Views: All of darling harbour Room: Beds are comfortable, storage excellent, Bathrooms well equiped and and covid friendly. All room ameniteis are located in the draws and have a small minibar with a fridge and all your morning coffee/tea needs. Facilites: pool area with bar is clean, gym overlooks darling harbour and are all lovely, clean and well managed

Room: Level 5 room 504 wasn't a city view it was a view of a parking a lot and Novotel swimming pool, light rail below. Annoyed because I booked in Sep 2022 paid for in full Oct 2022 and would have actually liked a city view. Room Level Transparency: If you have rooms that have a view of a parking lot then it should be advised especially when paying $2,000 for the stay. Room Smell: The room also had a strong sulfur smell at night.

The Aircon was loud and didn’t get much sleep There was no free water Pool was very crowded no spare pool beds or seats my daughters had to put there towels and bags on the floor .

Unfortunately there is construction happening in front of property so on weekdays can be noisy with work.

Loved everything except for what I was paying for… (The view) I paid to see the lovely darling harbour and thought my room would be relatively high up. Upon getting in my room to see I was only on level 5 and to see construction going on outside my widow which was a massive eye sore and also out another window a pool with people glaring in. I didn’t pay $900 dollars for a room with a view just to have it ruined by people looking at me in the nude and also I could’ve closed the curtains while getting changed yes but why should I have to you know like bit of a poor design which I was also not told about.

Staff members were great since the moment we drove into the driveway. Location was also easy to get to. We booked for the Darling Harbour view and everything was exactly how i liked it Staff member also took his time to talk to us and was recommending restaurants

Whenever we asked for something it took a while to get to us and for the reception dial - took a while to pick up. But i understand that it could have been busy

It’s in a great location, the room was clean

Unfortunately we went straight to the hotel from the airport check in wasn’t until 3pm but we got there just before 1 and left our bags they said they’d text us when our room was ready, we where travelling with friends so I booked 2 rooms they got to the hotel just on 1 pm and was able to go straight to their room, we popped out for a bite to eat and returned at 3.11 still with no text about our room as we had to leave the hotel at 4pm to get to the NRL grand final, it didn’t leave enough time for my husband and myself to get ready, I should never have booked the Sofitel I’ve had issues in the past as my husband was a member and we always had issues, we definitely won’t be staying there again.
