The breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and professional. A short walk to city centre.

Great location for the city. Pleasant terrace and dining area. Comfortable beds and pillows, ample towels, proper hairdryer. Bar area with candles and attractive lighting.
A little tired - decor, grouting, carpets. Dining area lacked a bit of atmosphere. Food was pub grub. Pleasant enough but not special.

Nice room , would have preferred a bigger bed. it is a nice small boutique type hotel with pretensions of gourmet French which it does not quite achieve. Nice atmosphere and style.
On top of room rate they charge you for using the car park at £20 per day which given that it is expensive anyway ,is a bit cheeky. Expected a better standard of food which it aspires to. We stayed for three nights and the first night was disappointing in the bistro . They were busy for the week with York races. We dined the third night and enjoyed the Chateaubriand. service charge is on top of the bill. The staff are nice but need better training. Breakfast is okay but you need to be gone by 10am.
