A comfortable, clean, unpretentious hotel with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. Central location within a five to ten minute walk of all major attractions. Quiet and peaceful. a bonus to have a gym and fitness classes on offer.

My newspaper I ordered through reception didn't arrive two mornings running which was annoying to have to chase up. I also felt it a bit unfair to be charged to pay in the hotel car park. I realised later that if I had booked directly through the hotel there is no charge.

The setting was beautiful and gardens well maintained. Staff great.

Andrew was very helpful upon arrival and assisted with parking too finding us a spot as the hotel was so busy. All of the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, excellent service by all.

excellent breakfast & location

check in was a bit of a joke there must have ben 6 people waiting for rooms from around 1pm (granted check in states 3pm) but in all my time of booking hotel rooms I have never known so many rooms not ready beforehand but bizarrely they all came available at 3pm in fact we didn't get our room until 3.10 , I had offered to pay for the early check in when we arrived but was told non available come back in 30 mins we did this for nearly 2 hours to no avail , not very accommodating at all , I'm sure you could have sorted a room if you had tried !
