Ayia Evfimia is a nice village located by the sea in a convenient spot to explore the entire island of Kefalonia. The apartment we stayed in, overlooking the sea, has multiple balconies for perfect relaxation by water views. It was clean, well equipped, and the premises are decorated beautifully. The place is located just few minutes walk to the village center. Afroditi, the owner, is super kind and cared for every question / request we had. The place is highly kids friendly, and it was important for her that we will feel at home. As we enquired about touring and activates in the island, she took the time and made sure we will get the most out of our 3-days stay.

We got one of the top apartments. The cost for the worthy views is climbing the stairs... For us, it was definitely worth it.

Good location within short walking distance of small supermarkets and good restaurants

Seats on patio not very comfy and day beds would have made better seating with large cushions

Afroditi is a wonderful host. She couldn't be more helpful. The bed was really comfortable and the facilities good. Very quick and easy walk to the restaurants etc

Curtains were rather thin and let the light in. However, we could have shut the shutters but didn't want to as we don't like sleeping with air con on The location, by the road meant there was traffic noise. Fortunately it wasn't a really busy road

We were there as a family, two children (2,5 a 5 years) in August 2021. Afroditi, the owner and host, was exceptional, very helpful, kind person, she gave us tips and lots of useful information. We had two rooms with a sea view balcony (highly recommended), it was very nice to have a sea view and watch port in the same time. I also appreciate location in Agia Effimia, we travelled the island all around, 1 hour maximum in a car (to Skala), just 15 minutes to Myrtos beach, the most famous in the island. I really enjoyed the evenings in the port Agia Effimia, there are lots of restaurants to have a dinner, more than we expected. The apartment was clean, every day refresh, spatious, air conditioned, well equipped, comfortable beds. Wonderful swimming pool - big and we were there alone!

The road next to the appatment was quite busy.

Afroditi was the friendliest; most helpful a nd hospitable host. She was so willing to help us and an excellent source of information about the island. It really helped us make the most of our stay. The rooms were huge, well equipped and spotlessly clean. They have taken their Covid 19 precautions seriously without it being overbearing as a guest wanting to relax.

The pool was too cold!

For a stay in Kefalonia, these apartments are perfect. Only a 2 minute walk in the centre of Agia Effimia and a 40 minute drive to anywhere on the island (Fiskardo, Myrtos, Assos, Argostoli etc) they are fantastically located to see as much of the island as you can. The apartments themselves are absolutely ideal: well equipped, clean, great air con, large fridge/freezer and INCREDIBLE views from the balconies. The pool is beautiful, great sun beds and a lovely size, spotlessly clean. On top of all of this the owner Aphroditi is just the most wonderful lady you could ever hope to be hosted by. Arriving at 10pm without dinner on the first day she’d booked us a table in a restaurant for our arrival, she lent us masks, snorkels, parasols etc, gave us restaurant and sight seeing recommendations and just made us feel so looked after. Couldn’t do more for us. I really could not recommend GreKa Ionion Suites enough...this was our first visit to the island but our stay with Aphroditi and Agia Effimia will certainly not be our last.
