Beautiful place to rest

Beautiful property with spacious rooms and great views. Everything felt light and airy, and the bamboo construction is really nice. This was a wonderful place to relax and recharge after a couple busy weeks. The staff were all very friendly and the food and drinks were delicious (try the Guatemalan breakfast and the cacao). My bed was comfy and the showers were fantastic with nice hot water and really good pressure.

Some construction noise in the mornings, but it's temporary and not a big deal.

¡Pura vibra, Bmaboo forever y mágia!

Jose/Chepe, Antonio con su hermano y sus brownies, y todo el personal! El lugar y la localización son mágicos. Hay que ir para vivirlo, igual que querer explorar el pueblito en el que se encuentra. Recomendamos despertaros con el buen desayuno en la terraza del Bamboo y terminar el día en el balcón de la habitación. Vaya, nos sentimos en casa.

Alp dice que su colchón estaba inclinado (va con cepillo de dientes electrico de viaje)

Superb

The view is so beautiful, the rooms are large especially in comparison with other hostels in Central America. The outdoor balcony is nice as well. The cats on the property are so sweet and were a great added bonus to me.

You can hear when anyone walks or moves in the rooms above/around you. The staff seemed a bit confused at times. But overall was very beautiful and peaceful place on the lake. Other spots on the lake can be very loud.

Peaceful and great views

Beautiful setting and view from the balcony and the restaurant area! Very chilled. Friendly and helpful staff. Great rooms, so nice to sleep in your own bed and not a bunk bed!

Adore this place, my favourite hostel ever!

Beautiful views, quiet, clean, serene, hostel dorm had a beautiful balcony to relax on. Many places to relax and chill. Good smoothies and food. Helpful & friendly staff. Felt so safe and at home.

Good

We came to the lake to relax, and the Bambu guest house was perfect for this. The restaurant on site was very tasty and the meals were reasonable prices. The overall concept of the house and views were great.

There didn't seem to be smaller room options, so our room was a little bit two big for two people. There isn't much to do in this part of the lake (which was initially why we chose it, but there really isn't much else to do). The coffee and smoothies could be a little bit sharper in price point.

One of the best hostels I have stayed at and I’m travelling nearly one year good location loads of space in rooms lovely common area but also nice private balcony in rooms big clean bathrooms with lovely showers lovely staff honestly there was nothing not to like

Gem in Tzununá

Lovely guesthouse with large rooms and really nice outdoor spaces with plenty of seating. Nice views of the lake.

There isn't a lot going on in Tzununá but that might be exactly what you're looking for.

A tranquil delight!

I really loved Bambu, so much so that I extended my stay to a month. What a beautiful place to stay at, and such kind, helpful and friendly kitchen staff who make delicious food and smoothies. Shad and Filipe are great, super friendly and always make sure you are happy. Would definitely recommend this place. A bonus is my dorm bed was super comfy. What a delight to wake up every morning and see that gorgeous sunrise from the bedroom window! The dorms even have a large terrace with table, seating, hammock and plug point from which to work or hang out with a book. There's even space enough to do yoga. The place also has 2 adorable and friendly cats.

Exceptional

Bambu Guest House sits high on the hills in Tzununa. It was a bit of walk to get there only because it was uphill, but if you don't want to walk there are many tuk tuks. The views were excellent, dinners were great and fairly priced and the common area was tranquil.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area, would definitely stay again

Beautiful view and very comfortable hotel at a nice location. Comfy beds and great -hot- shower with good water pressure. The village is quiet and relaxed, there are several nice restaurants within walking distance and it’s easily accessible by boat. Good to stay for a few days to relax!

They don’t serve breakfast on site, there is a small restaurant just next door which doesn’t always open early.

Beautiful views and property. If you like peace and quiet this place is perfect! Adjacent restaurant Balam is spectaular!

Not for someone high maintenance, bring your own snacks, there isnt much nearby.

Great view, clean and beautiful. Would recommend!

Bambu guest house has an amazing view over lake Atitlán! The rooms and facilities are clean and in impeccable state. Felipe makes sure everything is ready for your check-in and sends you all the information you need. PS: their incredible sweet cat is a big bonus 😉

Tzununá is a quiet town with not much going on. So if it’s peace you seek, this is the place for you!
