Good value for the money, a clean, comfortable room.
The heating system hadn't been turned on, even though it was October. The first night was quite cold. On the second day I asked about it and they provided me with a space heater.

I was pleasantly surprised at the architecture and design of this 1950ish motel. Very Frank Lloyd Wright. The brickwork and long flat angles tipped me off immediately. What a treat to stay here in a museum of 50s design.
A microwave oven would be useful, but would probably spoil the ambience. There is a microwave in the coffee room. As I am old and decrepit the long haul from the front lobby to the room was tiring. On the plus side there are no stairs or heavy doors to negotiate.

Location in Collingwood, ease of access.
Check-in was a little rocky, the clerk wasn't around when I checked in, we had to call him, and it took him a little while to get at the desk. Room is a little small and sparse, but I don't need much, so it met my expectations.

The price and location is very good. Close to our friends place and will likely be a place we stay again when visiting.
They had a very soft extra blanket that was amazing.
Lots of TV channel options.
The front desk staff took a while to come out and get us checked in.
The TV screen quality sucked a bit.
