On the positive side (yes, there are a couple), even on the top floor, the water pressure is good, and the staff is ultra sweet and helpful.

Seriously run down place. The door to our room has to be slammed hard to get it to even latch. Not secure at all! The carpet in our room was stained in so many spots. The refrigerator leaks water everywhere during its defrost cycle. Also, they must turn off the water heater at night because the water coming out of the hot water side was indistinguishable from the cold side. Then, in the morning, you can take a slightly warm shower if you don't turn on the cold water at all. And the bed? My back hurt so bad in the morning!

The location is excellent. However, our room was located in the basement. The hallway was very dark and smelly. There was a very huge pile of soiled towels at the end of the hallway. The hotel staff should be avoiding assigning the room in the basement. One of the beds was way too soft. The shower was hot enough though. Need to improve lighting in the hallway.

Alle Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit, man bekommt extra Pool-/Strandhandtücher am Empfang und morgens kann man sich ein Snackpaket abholen (zwei Aloha Getränke, Chips, zwei Müsliriegel, Kekse). Für die Küchenzeile bekommt man extra Utensilien ebenfalls am Empfang (auch Geräte wie Toaster oder Mikrowelle). Die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend! Unser Stockwerk war recht leise. Die Matratzen waren sehr bequem und recht neu! Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist für Waikiki wirklich prima!

Für eine dreiköpfige Familie ist das Zimmer etwas beengt. Den Platz im Schrank kann man nicht nutzen, da es nur Kleiderstangen gibt. Ein paar Regalböden im Schrank oder eine Kommode wäre hilfreich gewesen. Ich hätte mir eine Liste der zur Verfügung stehenden Küchenutensilien im Zimmer gewünscht. Dann hätte ich gezielter fragen können. Der Teppich benötigt dringend eine Reinigung (meine weißen Socken waren schwarz nach einiger Zeit), auch der Balkon könnte mal eine Reinigung vertragen. Mir ist bewusst dass Hawaii eine tropische Destination ist. Doch heutzutage gibt es hervorragende Kakerlaken Fallen - gegen dieses Problem könnte man etwas besser vorgehen. (Bei uns waren sie nur im Küchenbereich, wobei im Vorhang auch eine Tote hing…)

The hotel smelled horrible, the room had a stagnate mold smell, there were roaches in the kitchen. The hotel was spraying for bugs with a note saying we had to be gone for at least an hour after spraying. The floors were gross and bedding was dirty. When we notified the front desk the next day, cancelled the rest of our stay and they took off $10 to accommodate for the roaches :( instead of a full refund which should have been given.
