You can find many places to stay in chitkul but this is the only place with a social environment. There's rooms, dorms and tents, a common room with games. And this is the best place to eat, even for foreigners, compared to other places which are just average. I'd say this is the best spot to stay in chitkul.

Not a complaint, but im 6'2" tall and the dorm bed was maybe 6' long, so found it difficult to sleep. Its not their fault its just something to keep in mind for tall people in dorm beds.

We liked everything about Chitkul Zostel- the staff, location and arrangemets & Price.

Helpful staff and manager. Must visit place. The morning is awesome from the terrace. And specially the apple orchard.

The view was descent that's it . .

Not upto the mark , the whole vibe was dead and it was nothing as compared to other hostels . No bonfire was available and the overall staying experience was not a nice one .

The staff told us that this hotel is not for sr. Citizen & refused to take our luggage to 1st floor.Our question is why they have given booking confirmation to us & why they have not mentioned it at the time of booking.After lot of persuasion they agreed.

The location is the biggest asset of Zostel at Chitkul. The staff was excellent; they were at our service all the time. The food was always served fresh and it had pretty good variety as well. The information provided were often useful.

At the website it was mentioned that Zostel will provide wifi. But at Chitkul we were told it is not there. At the rate charged by Zostel, the room definitely requires some more modifications to make it worthwhile. It should be made more cold-proof. There are lots of loopholes for the coldness to enter the room. The property doesn't have a power backup which they should definitely look into.

The property is located right as you enter the village. It was easy to find, and the staff was easily reachable. The property looks out to mesmerising snowy mountains. The manager was very helpful and friendly with local directions. The rooms and the bathroom were very clean. Nice and hot food served as per requests, with many options available. Absolutely loved the vibe they created in the evening with soothing music and IPL match in their common room.
