Friendly staff and superior service. It was good to have someone added to WeChat a few days before we checked in who sent warm welcomes and useful information and looked after our requests during our stay. The beach is really beautiful and massive however the weather was not very good so there was no activities on the sea. Breakfast was good.
We booked a Mountain View room but was “upgraded” to a family room with garden view and outside of which was the surfing facility, so that was not very pleasant because it became noisy early in the morning and the view was boring. Room is large but the TV remote control didn’t work well and neither was the shower. The rate was raise because of the New Year holiday so we just didn’t feel it was really worthy the money. Don’t think we will stay here again.

Hotel was great, staff friendly, breakfast excellent and well organized (best breakfast omelette and waffle), clean and well equipped room, lobby and pools, beach access very easy to use and the beach in front is great, both nature-wise and hotel’s structure.
Prices a little too high (both daily rates as food and drinks), but that is overall, not just this hotel.
6.0
- Check-In process was smooth
- Beach is clean but needs better maintenance
- Resort area is clean and beautiful
- Enough parking facilities
- Lobby area is beautiful
- Staff is super nice
- This is by far (!!!!!!) the most overpriced Hotel not only in China but wherever I have been globally (Mandarin Oriental is a bargain compared to this one here)
- I have attached some pictures so you can get a feeling about it, e.g. buying simple water to the pool sets you down 58 RMB, 7,70 Euro for Evian/SP, French fries with Ketchup 68 RMB, 9 Euro)
- If you plan to dine there get ready and prepare a big wallet for your family (at least 400 RMB per person for their cheapest Buffet at the Beach front, makes 800 RMB for 2 people 107 Euro!)
- Room prices (starting at 160 Euro/Night if you can catch a lucky deal), are by far too high for what you get as it’s equipped with old and super simple furniture, some items fall apart in the bathroom when we tried to use the tube
- I have been at the pool and once they ran out of towels, no problem at all as this can happen everywhere but no staff brought me towels after they finally arrived from the laundry
- Breakfast does not justify 5 star status, focus 95% on local demand meaning it’s more a lunch with noodles and soups (not a 5 star Hotel Continental breakfast with several bread and cheese/salami options, again it would be no problem if the prices would not be from another world)
Generally speaking you can charge high prices but should not wonder if people rate respectively after their stay. We have been to Westin next to this one to compare and there you can see the difference for what you pay. The Management here needs to do a clear review on what they charge/deliver else this resort will soon be re-evaluated based on customer ratings.

The room was spacious with very comfy beds, and the small pool and the sunbeds were nice. The bar staff at Latitude Bar were friendly and helpful.
The restaurant staff in all four of them were awful. Service was slow, clumsy and incompetent for virtually all of the 6 days we were there. Food, when it finally did arrive, was poor. We both had stomach problems and, as there are limited options close by, you have no choice but to eat at the hotel.
Although there are two pools with sitting space available, the other seating areas are very limited to one strip of tables for two when you enter the hotel. Indoor seating was limited to the bar area and overall, it was lacking in comfy options to lounge around, which for a Marriott hotel is very disappointing.

The beach hotel is great, the hotel is good, our room with private pool was good
The service at the restaurants is very poor.
Breakfast is low quality both for Western and Chinese food
It is a pity because the hotel is nice and it is situated in such beautiful location
9.0
The hotel is right next to its private beach, which make it possible to take a morning/midnight walk on the beach. The pool and fitness center were also flawless. The size of the room is larger than comparable hotels nearby. The tropical decoration style brings the feel of vacation. The staff were always attentive and cordial.
The restaurants were OK, but nothing stunning. And for the bar, do enhance the cocktail taste please! Also, the housekeeping service time was a little bit unusual--at 17h... The convenient store was kind of tiny with limited selection, considering the nearest stores are miles away, the convenient store is essential to the guest.

Location is about an hour and half from the airport. Quiet area, decent beach. Western food sub par. Asian food good. Dara was very helpful and spoke good English.
East Coast Surfari is a terrible company. No idea why Le Meridien chose them for there surfing. Wouldn’t allow to rent boards because was “too dangerous”. Waves were about 4 feet, no rip. Surfed all around the world showed them videos but they wouldn’t budge. Only with an instructor. If it wasn’t for this 3rd party company on site, the stay would have been rated higher.

The hotel has wonderful amenities and a great choice of restaurants. Great value for money, we enjoyed it very much
Nothing, everything was great
