This is a lovely hotel - it is huge, with a library, bar and restaurant, and it's got a nice friendly energy about it. The staff were cheery and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were good. The location is great, as it's only a five minute walk to the Harpa and to an area with lots of bars and restaurants. There is a big, free car park next to it, so parking is not an issue. It is also within walking distance of the lava show, which is good fun.
Our bathroom was quite small, and it's a wet room style so the shower water did tend to spill out. However, this was a very minor issue and it was clean with nice hot water, so it didn't really impact our stay.

Location was excellent. Rooms were clean and very comfortable.
The price of drinks. In an expensive city, the drinks were noticeably more expensive than anywhere

I really liked the location of the property. Everything was within walking distance so we were able to explore different parts of downtown while we were there. I also liked how the bus stop was a short walk from the hotel. It made it easy to go on different excursions. The lobby was nice because you were able to sit by the fire and warm up after exploring all day. The staff were very friendly and helpful too!
On the other hand, there were many things I disliked about the property as well.
- For starters, when I booked the property on Booking, I go an email that seemed to be from the hotel about updating my credit card information. Turns out, it was a scam because the actual hotel messaged me saying that I was all set and didn’t need to update anything. This reason is more for the Booking website than the property itself.
- while I did like the location of the property, it was hard for the taxi driver to find the entrance when we first arrived. We walked around for about 10 minutes trying to find the entrance to the hotel. (It was in the back towards the middle of the building).
- the beds were outdated and the material was peeling off at the base of the beds. They were also very hard and uncomfortable to sleep in.
- whenever we took a shower, the water would get all over the bathroom floor because there was no actual separation between the floor and the shower. There was only a shower curtain, which didn’t do much from preventing the water from escaping from the bottom.
- the walls were practically paper thin because we could hear any conversation happening next to us and below us.

This was originally a hotel we had booked last minute due to issues with the first hotel we had booked being miles away from where we needed to be. This is a brilliant location literally seconds from the marina if you are doing any boat trips or whale watching incredible location. The rooms are small but comfortable and for 1 night did all that we needed. This was a flying visit for us so we didn’t get to explore to much but the reception is beautiful with lit fires, walking distance to all amenities and staff very friendly cannot do enough. We were able to leave bags in reception whilst out and taxi back to the airport booked via get your guide found us perfectly.
The rooms are quite small but we were happy with what we had.

It was great location and had really good facilities
You could hear everything in the room. It was underneath the bar and could feel the bass and you could hear all the coffee machines being used in the rooms. There was also a constant dripping sound that would continuously drip which made it hard to fall asleep

Staff were so helpful. We wanted to see the northern lights and they showed us maps and weather reports we could drive to to see them
Room was lovely. Overlooked the harbour, very quiet and plenty of space for the 2 of us
Nice TV on the wall with the ability to plug in USB or HDMI for other devices
Curtain in room 306 is just a touch too short which means some light from the harbour comes in. Other than that the room is absolutely perfect

Shower was great, very hot, very powerful. Breakfast was great wide selection and good times open.
Bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for everything we did.
Bathroom was small but enough for what we needed.
The food in the restaurant wasn't the best, burger was very greasy, the bottom bun was soaking, salad was very big but not tasty

Very good locationZ Shower was awesome and beds were comfortable. Staff was nice
It’s advertised as a 4-star hotel. It is nothing close to that. 3 at best.

Location is perfect . Staff are so nice especially Joana who welcomed me in a very nice way .
They never picked up my calls . I had to step down and ask for what i want . All 4 days i have been asking for a slipper but I haven’t got one .

This is a terrific boutique hotel in a great location by the harbor. The staff was wonderful, the decor was fun, and everything was very comfortable and clean. The photos on the website didn’t do it justice.
The bathrooms are very small; one person at a time for sure. And if you’re sensitive to traffic sounds while you’re sleeping, request a harbor-side room.

The hotel was modern, clean, warm and friendly atmosphere.
Check in was easy and we even got our room early.
We booked a suite which was ideal for a bit of extra living space and had a harbour view.
The bed was extremely comfortable and we could control the heat in the rooms as we had radiators ( a bonus for drying off any damp clothes)
Breakfast was a good standard with lots to choose from as a buffet style.
On our first evening we had a problem with the bar trying to charge us for food items on our bill which we hadn't had and we were suprised this same night to also be told that it wasn't happy hour when there was a letter in our room advertising these hours as such.
We therefore chose to eat and drink the rest of the time elsewhere.

Restaurant staff was very friendly. Lobby was nice and cozy. Interior was nice.
rooms are a bit on the small size, if your room is close to the elevator it can be annoying. Bathroom, walk-in shower a bit too close to toilet, small shower with curtain, curtain too close to the person in the shower..sticky time ;-)
Hotel not that close to center. Maybe a bit too pricy...but that's Scandinavia.

Location.
First night we were in put into a tiny inadequate room; no door on bathroom, plastic curtain separated commode from small shower, bed up against wall so I had to crawl across bed. Spoke to manager and room was changed the next day for an adequate room for duration of our stay! A hassle.

The location is great, down town Reykjavik. Our room was so spacious, which came as a surprise because we have stayed at Marina before and back then we had a tiny room :-)

Beautiful room, with nice balcony overlooking the harbor. Great location - could walk to most places.
If breakfast was included, it would have been much better!

Great location.
Hotel was a bit tired. Staff were quite efficient but not particularly interested. Hotel appears to cater largely for big tour groups
