Hotellilla ei ollut omaa parkkipaikkaa. Kadun varsilla pysäköinti maksoi. Lähistöllä oli kyllä maksuton parkkialue, josta lyhyt matka hotellille.

Breakfast - always the same and quality could be improved

Hotel is new, modern, clean and nicely located with an easy walk to restaurants and attractions. The front desk staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and efficient. they also accommodated us with an early check in. Breakfast was very nice - lots of variety.

There was construction around the hotel that I suppose the hotel cannot do anything about. We were able to move rooms which was nice.

Grandi was perfect for us. We knew we wouldn’t be in the hotel much and wanted to fit in as much to our break as possible. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast is lovely and the staff were all really helpful. We had to leave early before breakfast started so there is an option for croissants and hot drinks in the reception area, would have liked a little more choice then. The location was perfect for us, about a 10 minute walk into town and super close to Flyover and the sea wall/harbour area to see the northern lights!

More selection at early breakfast would have been good.

Breakfast! Not enough choice, needs a bigger space to display food to avoid too many people hovering over food. Get rid of spreadable caviar cream cheese & fish oil that are novelties! No one eats them! A better selection of breads, cereals & hot food would be better. Maybe even offer eggs to order rather than the awful scrambled eggs that were going dry. Had to ask for plates, cutlery, bacon…. All while apple juice that wasn’t even half empty was being replenished. Better staff training perhaps.

Low lighting in the rooms. no shelves to place essentials including the bathroom. very low sink in the bathroom.

The hotel was amazing, breakfast was great, staff were friendly and helpful. The service was exceptional, room was high standard, bathroom and amenities excellent.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The place was spotless. Only a 10 minute walk to downtown.

Great location within walking distance of everything you need and the number 15 bus stop. A few supermarkets that are less than a 5 minute walk away which is handy. Really nice vibe in the lobby area, very warm and cozy. Room was spacious and warm with everything you'd need.

Upon arrival we had to wait a while at reception to check in as there was only one staff member on and the queue got pretty big. We then got to the room and was pleasantly surprised on first impressions but shortly after we noticed our stuff was soaking wet in the corner of the room. The entire corner carpet and furniture was drenched and we saw that a pipe was leaking from the ceiling. We called down to reception and someone came up straight away and told us that we couldn't stay in the room and we would be moved. We were given no apology for our wet clothes, offered no solution to this and then a lady came to our room to give us a drinks voucher for 2 drinks. This didn't seem adequate considering our belongings were drenched and had excursions booked for the following morning, we also had to pack all of our stuff and move at 11pm. It wasn't the best start to our trip that was for my wife's 30th the following day. We weren't going to let this dampen our trip but we were also disappointed by the breakfast variety and service. There is no santiser in the breakfast for guests but we spotted a dispenser on the wall near the food, so we began to use this but were told off by a member of staff and told to use the bathroom if we wanted to wash our hands. Not what we expected with COVID back on the rise and everyone coughing at breakfast. We heard multiple people complain about this. Hot food is also not very hot at all, so be prepared for that and it doesn't matter what time you go down it's barely luke warm. Also, on our first morning we wanted to take some of the doughnuts with us for our 12 hour excursion but were told by a member of staff we couldn't and we would have to pay. This seemed really excessive and after this we were watched like hawks every morning at breakfast which was ridiculous. We have never stayed in a hotel were you cannot take stuff out of the buffet, it had a slight prison feel to it - without being too dramatic!

Very helpful, friendly and professional staff. Clean room with comfy beds. Great food. Homely hotel.

Duvets could be bigger. A little further away from the centre but nothing major. Only really an issue when it’s snowed hard.

Staff, Restaurant, room

Le personnel était très professionnel, accueillant et serviable. L'hôtel est très agréable, bien situé et facile d'accès. J'ai apprécié le calme de la chambre et des couloirs, mais aussi du lounge confortable au rez-de-chaussée, avec des jeux et une cheminée.

Le petit déjeuner n'est pas exceptionel mais correct. Un petit bémol, le placement des clients lors du petit déjeuner rend ce moment peu propice au calme, car les clients sont tous, plus ou moins, assis dans la même zone.

De não terem avisado que ia me frustrar por me colocarem em um quarto com a vista 100% para uma obra, acho que seria justo avisar o hóspede antes e assim teríamos a opção de escolher ficar com uma vista horrorosa de uma obra e barulhos imensos que começam as 8 da manhã .

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely. Hotel beautiful.

Limited parking

The breakfast buffet was delicious. The location was close to the phallogical museum and a place where you could play dart games called skör which was fun. A lot of good restaurants around the harbor and close to the maritime museum as well. It was very convenient to be able to book our bus tickets and tours at the Reception in case we wanted to book a tour last minute.

Die Lage vom Hotel ist prima. Die Zimmer sind groß und das Personal ist nett.

Die Aufteilung des Zimmers erlaubt keine Privatsphäre. Vor allem Toiletten Gänge führen zu unangenehmen Situationen. Die gesamte Ausstattung des Hotels soll Industrie Design verkörpern, trotzdem erkennt Man überall die ursprüngliche Funktion als Fabrikhalle. Es wirkt eher als Übergangslösung. Das Frühstück war ok, aber 5 Tage lang immer das gleiche bei relativ beschränkter Auswahl war dann doch frustrierend.

Modern, clean and comfortable hotel in a great location with plentiful free parking nearby for rental cars. Friendly staff, quick check in, free decent breakfast and quiet room (Although, there is construction nearby so perhaps not so quiet during the day?)

Really nitpicking as the hotel was a great choice - could've done with a better positioned set of sockets by the bed and water bottles in the room to take out with you.

Not necessarily a bad thing, slightly out of the centre but we were happy to walk 15 minutes. Lovely restaurants and cafés near the hotel.

Great Location, staff were great and always happy to sort taxi's for your excursions. Would definitely recommend !

Price of beer ha ha !

Very nice and clean hotel. Pretty interior. Very good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Even that the hotel was in the center of the city it was OK to find the parking place for the car. Staff is supporting with the parking area information and payment rates in different areas. Location of the hotel is also good, not directly in the center, but very close to different attractions. In the rooms there is also the water kettle for making the tea and coffee.

You had to use use access card in the elevator as well as in between the corridors. In case You are with car, then You need to find a parking place as it is central city area. Breakfast in the rush hours (08 am) are very over crowded and You are not able to sit in the main area, but in the sperate room and this was not very cozy.

La habitación es pequeña, la cama muy estrecha y el desayuno es siempre igual.

Las habitaciones muy pequeñas . Parece más un albergue que un hotel . Por el precio pagado no volvería . El desayuno escaso con mesas súper pegadas . Muy incómodo desayunar

Het welkom heten was al fantastisch, vriendelijk en echt met een vleugje humor. Dat is leuk binnenkomen bij een hotel.

Vriendelijk personeel. Kamer met uitzicht op de stad (Hallgrimskirkja zichtbaar). IJskast en kluisje gratis ter beschikking. Prijs kwaliteit zeker oké.

Iets verder van het centrum, wel dichtbij de haven. Indien je enkel voor Reykjavik zelf komt, zou ik een hotel meer in het centrum aanbevelen. Het hotel is wel een goede uitvalsbasis om andere uitstappen te doen. Geen degelijke koffie bij het ontbijt (geen keuze tussen latte, cappuccino, …)
