Exquisite 2 Bedrooms Apt In The Center Of Latin Quarter : Best Deal For 6
About this apartment rental
Located in the very center of the Latin Quarter, close to the famous Panthéon, charming Place de la Contrescarpe, Sorbonne University, Saint Germain and the gorgeous Luxembourg gardens, this apartment offers a unique opportunity: • It is an exceptional deal: the apartment was designed with extra care to comfortably sleep up to 6 guests (2 queen beds and a comfortable sofa bed). • The apt is located in a stone building constructed in the 1800s. It is on the 4th floor and offers a nice view above the square. The building was fully refurbished and redesigned by an architect in 2016. Two other similar apartments are available in the building in addition to the two extra ones of same area designed for 4 guests (including a sofa bed). The owners have preserved the traditional French apartment style with the beautifully exposed wooden beams. The apartment is super functional. They have also preserved the elegant French terra cotta tiled floor with a variation of colour and thickness in certain parts of the apartment. This floor style dates back to around 150 years, if not more, and is of great historical significance. The apt location is a perfect base to visit Paris: based in the heart of the old Paris, in the Latin Quarter, facing Notre Dame, it is a very lively area. Walk to “Rue Mouffetard” & “place de la Contrescarpe” to have an outside dinner, stroll in the nearby and beautiful “Jardin du Luxembourg”, “Jardin des Plantes” or “Arenes de Lutece”, visit the trendy Ile Saint Louis, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Cluny Museum of Medieval Arts, the Pantheon, the Sorbonne university, le “Paradis Latin” Cabaret and the Saint Germain area. They are all steps away. Stroll along the banks of the Seine, enjoy a drink on one of the many barges or dance Tango in the “Tino Rossi” square in summer before going to the Marais where are the best clothes shops of Paris. All at walking distance. It stands 10 minutes by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums. One finds plenty of restaurants, shops, cinemas and many nearby cultural sites to visit. Right down the building are located many shops, restaurants, bakeries, delies and more. We advise to try “Les Pipos” restaurant, typical traditional French food. More about the apartment… On entering the apartment, one is greeted by a small corridor that serves the bathroom to the right, and leads to the living room area. To take advantage of the light and volume, the architect has designed a great concept: • During the day, opening the 2 sliding doors create a unique large living space with two windows above the square. The light coming from both windows make the whole area most welcoming and spacious • During the night, guests can profit from 3 separate, private sleeping areas. The Living room offers a large double glazed window that bathes it in natural light. It opens on the charming Place de L’Ecole Polytechnique which offers various terraces. No building blocks the view: it is open on the Rue de la Montagne Sainte Genevieve, and the famous and beautiful courtyard of the Ecole Polytechnique (host to many international conferences of researchers). The living room offers a comfortable sofa bed and a center table, chair and lights. Wall is decorated with frames. The TV is fixed above the kitchen bar a convenient location to watch it from the sofa bed. On the right of the sofa is located an open kitchen bar with stools. It is integrated into the living area and gives an impression of openness. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing simple meals. The bedroom with sliding doors offers a high quality queen size bed, a large closet and a large window on the square. Obviously complete privacy may be obtained by sliding the doors. Through the kitchen, one can access the second bedroom. This bedroom also offers a very good quality queen size bed with closet, a mini office table and a window that overlooks the building courtyard. Once again it is furnished with quality equipment and decorated with frame. The bathroom located at the entrance, is fully tiled and modernly decorated. It offers a large semi-enclosed shower, a vanity area and a toilette. For information : As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and Australia are generally free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. Moreover, calls to cell phones to specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators. WIFI is free and available in the entire apartment.

The location is fabulous! The flat is as described and looks as pictured. It is cozy but worked well for my family. As others have mentioned, this is a walk-up with a winding staircase. We didn’t mind it, but might be hard if you are large or not fit. In the summer when the windows are open, it might be noisy, as there are restaurants below. We had the windows shut and it was fine. The host was very easy to communicate with and check-in was also simple. The location — with a view of Notre Dame — was spectacular! My kids and I enjoyed our stay and it was great to have the kitchen! I would recommend this location to families and others who want an authentic neighborhood experience. The market (Tues, Thurs, Sat) and shops/bakeries by the Maubert metro were wonderful—some of the best croissants and baguettes! All in all, it was a fantastic property and wonderful trip to Paris!

Terrific stay. Right next to the Sorbonne and Pantheon, tucked between student cafes. Exposed beams for old Paris feel but nicely modernized. Even a distant view of notre dame. We loved it.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the check-in instructions were clear and simple. The location is really good.

Perfect place for us and our 2 adult children to spend a week in Paris. The neighborhood is perfect - close to metro stop (2 blocks straight down from apartment. Loved the vibe the neighborhood gave. Great communication with landlord. Perfect instructions on entry. Would definitely stay at again if we were in Paris. One caution for those that can not handle stair. One of the charms is a spiral steps up to the apartment - however, I had an 21 year old son who could help with the bags - someone who may find stairs to a 4th floor should pick a lower level - they did have options.

We stayed here for our first visit to Paris with 4 adults. The location was great - we walked most places. The unit was clean with great bedrooms. A little smaller than we thought. Would not recommend for more than 4 due to space. We used the washer - it is small and took double the time from American washers. It was good for what we needed. Stairs were a bit more than we expected- narrow and windy.

We enjoyed this charming apartment during our short stay in Paris. Lots of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Great stay overall!

We loved staying here! Family of 4 comfortably stayed in the 2 bedroom space. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. I love the check in and check out procedures and there was someone quickly there when needed. The stairs were a litle tricky but fine for our family. The bar/restaurant on the bottom floor is noisy till very early in the morning. We stayed during the winter, so with the windows closed, it wasnt too big of a deal. The restaurant has good food. - nice to be so close.

Wonderful location. The stairs are daunting even for a relatively fit family.

Cosy 4 was a great place for my family to stay while enjoying Paris. The apartment was clean and had all the essentials. It was also close to restaurants, sites, and the Metro. The communication with the host was also very easy. Overall, a great place to stay.

As might be expected, this location is well-suited for younger adults. It offers a good exposure to the college scene and Latin quarter.

Accurate and thorough description. Yes there are stairs and yes they’re small and narrow but very typical for Paris and European accommodations. If you are traveling with large check-in luggage you might have trouble. My adult family of 5 with carry on size luggage had no issue getting to the 4th floor unit without making too much noise. I myself am 60 with moderate health issues and did not have any trouble.
While the description touts sleeping for 6, 1 bathroom can make it challenging. Putting away the sofa bed daily to open up the space can be an issue as well.
There’s a great bakery nearby La Maison d’Isabelle. Incredible croissants and awesome baguette sandwiches for your days travel. Across the entrance is Les Pipos a nice wine bar with surprisingly good food.
My complaints, the hot water from the tap is HOT, I mean scalding hot so be very careful.
The Teflon pots and pans are all scratched and need to be replaced, but we ate out and never needed to cook inside.
There is a single shot moka pot available worked great but could use a new gasket. If there are 6 people staying here making coffee 6 times can be a challenge.
There is a nespresso machine but I really hate the waste it creates but it does make morning coffee easier.
I wish there was a second set of keys, traveling with adult family means sometimes we do not return together. My wife could not figure out the intercom(it could have been the alcohol) and someone had to run downstairs to let her

Lovely location but can be quite loud at night with windows open.

The apartment was very nice but the 8 flights of very steep and narrow stairs to get to the apartment were terrifying. To the point that I went and rented a hotel in the same area with an elevator. When I was researching VRBO for a property and I read about this property the dangerous ascent to the apartment was not mentioned. My 2 traveling partners , who are in their 30 s, were able to manage the stairs with only a little difficulty. This apartment should only be rented to people under the age of 40.

We were very happy with this property and location! Property was very clean and well taken care of. It had everything we needed. Nice cafes right below which was perfect for grabbing a bowl of French onion soup or glass of wine any time of day! Grocery store nearby and plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. Short Uber ride to anywhere you want to go in Paris! The host was very friendly and easily accessible if needed.

Wonderful location with views of Notre Dame and lively cafes at street level. Only negative for older people is difficult stairway. My adult kids and I recommend it highly for anyone that wants a stay in an authentic and central Paris neighborhood.

Excellent location - easy access to public transport and location is in a walkable area to restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. Comfortably furnished - beds were excellent. Stairs are narrow but was part of the charm.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this beautiful apartment. It was clean, really comfortable and walkable to many places.
Our only issue was that the restaurant with a patio located directly under the apartment is open until 2 am every evening, and as you may imagine as it gets later, the crowd becomes louder and more enthusiastic in their laughing, singing, etc. I think if it had not been so hot in Paris during our stay this would not have mattered as we could have closed the windows, however without keeping the windows open it was too hot to sleep comfortably.

Our love of Paris stems from many things, but primary is the ability to find anything you might seek within a few steps from your door. Food, drink, history, shopping, entertainment -- the Latin Quarter neighborhood for this property has it all. With four active restaurants and bars literally downstairs, one only has to step outside to have a lovely meal. The apartment is very well appointed. Great airflow with the windows open. Terrific shower! (A key element for us.) The owners were extremely helpful and responsive.
Be prepared to climb some stairs, and be open to the nightly bustle from the busy street below. You'll have a lovely stay.

The location in the Latin Quarter was perfect! The cafe at the entrance to the home was great. The apartment was small for 6 people and the stairs were a nightmare with luggage.

Clean apartment close to several tourist sites. Several bars located underneath which was handy but also loud at night if that bothers you. Kitchen could of been better stocked, there were not enough cutlery for my kids to eat breakfast at the same time.

We are family of 4. The place was perfect for us. The location and the view was fantastic. Loved to see hear and feel in the middle of life in Paris. The cafés and stores right there was wonderful. If you close the windows,my tired after all day of walking and exploring the city, kids slept and couldn’t hear the outside noise.Apartment was super clean, lots of extra towels. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Even the pull out couch was great and comfortable for my tall 15 year old boy.safe and beautiful neighborhood. Easy check in and check out. Cant wait to visit again!

We loved the location and the charm of the apartment. Very clean and nicely renovated. The view of Notre-Dame was wonderful. If you have large and heavy suitcases - the spiral staircase to the apartment is challenging. There are a few cafes below the apartment that stay open late - if you keep the windows open, it can be loud. But noise is not an issue when the windows are closed. I would stay again, but I think it's fair to properly set expectations when considering a stay.

Great location, nice place. Perfect for us. We were on 4th floor and stairs are steep, tight and uneven. Just be aware. Also we laughed at the check in info about being loud—it is above a bar! This did not bother us but we joked about that part of instructions

We LOVED our stay at this property during our visit to Paris. Very easy walk to metro station and also to Notre Dame. Lots of restaurants/cafes near by. Apartment was very clean and check in was very easy. There are quite a few steps to get to it - but kept us in shape!! :) Highly recommend!

Exactly as advertised! Terrific location close to the Seine, metro and cafes. Space was perfect for my family of 5 traveling through Paris. Neighborhood was very busy and we felt very safe while we were there. Great views of Notre Dame. Host was very responsive and provided us with detailed check-in info. I hope to be back there soon. Definitely recommend!

My family (husband and I with two children 8&10) stayed for 5 nights in this lovely apartment. The kitchen was adequately fitted for reheating leftovers or making snacks. They left plenty of towels and bedding. We felt very secure in the building as there were 2 exterior doors in addition to our apartment door. We did laundry 1 night since we were traveling light and we pleasantly surprised to find laundry detergent. It is in the college district and we could hear the bar and cafe from downstairs but that's part of the Paris nightlife. With the windows closed it wasn't too loud and it didn't bother our kids at all who slept in the far bedroom but they're heavy sleepers. Would stay again.

Amazing, amazing location. Vibrant — great energy in the community, lots to see, do, and enjoy nearby. The apartment is on the fourth floor and the stairs are narrow, windy, and steep — a bit challenging bringing suitcases up/down — yet worth it if you are up to the challenge of careening in an authentic Parisian apartment. The apartment has a fantastic view of the active Rue below and Notre Dame in the distance. We loved Les Petite Cafe downstairs; always hopping, and the staff bends over backwards to ensure you enjoy everything. Great food, drinks, and vibe overall. The apartment has nice thick windows, so it’s very quiet at night. Enjoy!

I can't rate this amazing Paris apartment high enough! The location is so fun - right in the heart of the latin quarter. You can even see the top of Notre Dame from the windows. So many cafes and shops in the area and easy to walk to major sites. There were 5 of us staying in the suite and we were comfortable. Definitely 5 stars!

The location was great, we had a view of Notre Dame which was beautiful. I do recommend for your 1st visit to Paris, get a place with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The place was semi-clean. I did feel the need to clean the dishes provided before use. The stairs were daunting like other reviews. The staircase is so narrow and winding, getting our luggage up was a chore. There were 6 of us, all adults and thankfully family. However, there was only one roll of toilet paper provided for our 6 day stay. No dish soap either and considering that there are dishes, I would expect that soap would be provided so that I could do the dishes. Also, no paper towels, no dish towels... we had to purchase all of that. Having 6 adults staying in a 2 bedroom with a pull out sofa for 2 of the adults was way too small. Again, thank goodness we're family because if we were staying with 3 couples as friends, it would've been unpleasant as the place is very small for 6 adults. 4 adults MAX! Maybe 2 kids on the pull out sofa bed but even then - space is limited when the sofa bed is out. Speaking of which - that sofa bed mattress is so thin, the 2 sleeping on it felt the bars in their backs. We suggested that they actually put the mattress on the floor and leave the sofa as a sofa. Then at least they wouldn't feel the bars of the bed. Very uncomfortable. The other beds were very comfy. Please also note that there is no air conditioning. Unfortunately, we were there during a massive heat wave which is no fault of theirs whatsoever. It would've been so nice to have A/C but perhaps it's not needed most of the year. When I emailed, it did take a a day or so for them to reply to my A/C inquiry. The liveliness of the neighborhood below does, in fact, go all night on the weekends. We were there for Bastille so I understand the extra excitement for that celebration. Thank goodness we had a noisemaker on our phone so that helped. To end on a high note, the convenience of the cafe's and stores nearby was appreciated. Also, the metro was so close and made it very convenient to explore Paris at a reasonable price. The building is quaint and again, the view was so nice to enjoy with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing.

Loved our stay in this fantastic flat! Close to so many sights and fantastic restaurants. We’ll be back!

Apartment has two comfortable big beds and a nice pull out sofa. It has a great view and you can see Notre Dame. The flat is above a couple of cafes amd across from several more...and a British pub is a few doors down. So, the evenings are lively and the people party very late into the night. With windows open you will feel like you are part of the fun. So, if you like a quiet spot, this one isn't for you. If you want to be in the middle of it all, this is the place. The apartment itself is cute. The cleaning crew needed to do a better job. Forexample, I grabbed a couple of wine glasses tobuse and one of them had pink lipstick on the rim. The flat is on the 4th floor of very steep and narrow winding stairs, so travel light.
All things considered , it is a great flat amd we are happy we stayed in it.

Beautiful apparement in great location, though not for elderly as staircase is steep and narrow. The noise from the cafe below is quite loud until 3-4am, though windows closed takes care of the noise but, on a summer night, can be stifling. Overall a wonderful stay.

Lovely location.
Furniture and furnishings a bit tired.
Staircase very difficult and a bit dangerous (luckily we are fit).

You couldn't ask for a more perfectly located spot for easy access to all that Paris has to offer, and the neighborhood is hip, fun and very local with a very cool cafe scene on the square and the other square above it. As is mentioned, the stairs are not for the faint of heart or the heavy of suitcase, but certainly manageable. Communication and access were easy and very clear. Where the apt could use some improvement is a few select items and supplies that would make the stay more comfortable - it was missing some basics like: a corkscrew (I bought one and left it there!) any kind of larger knife for bread, fruit etc besides small steak knives, and a wider knife for butter/jam/cheese, paper towels or a dish towel, shampoo - and there were certainly none of the little touches I have experienced in other places like some coffee or a few welcome supplies. Much of the furniture was pretty rickety/on its last legs and the few pillows were flat as a crepe. The beds were firm and comfortable and the linens were fine - but the overall cleanliness was a "B" - not gross, but some dusty areas and many surfaces given only a bit of a cursory wipe. Still, when I opened the big windows to a view of Notre Dame, and took an easy walk to the Ile de la Cite - it was worth it. If the owners just step up a few comfort items the place would be a Parisian gem.

Comfortable and charming apartment in an amazing location. We were a family of four and very comfortable. Great little kitchen and bath. The weather turned warm do we had the windows open day and night. Great bistros right underneath and across the street. One drawback was the late late night revelry below, but if you enjoy a Parisian vibe, and we did, this apartment is great.

We recently stayed in Cosy 4. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures. It is advertised to sleep 6 (which it does) but it was a little tight. Luckily we had 3 children with us so that helped. I am not sure if this would be a good place for 6 adults. To get to the apartment you have to climb 77 narrow steps. My husband and I had no problems but my children and elderly father did. The beds were rather comfortable although the sofa bed was a little hard (like most sofa beds though) and TV, wifi and Netflix were provided. The kitchen had the basic appliances (Coffee pot, microwave, small fridge, stove top). You will have to supply everything else for the apartment (garbage bags, toilet paper, dish soap etc) although the washer and dryer are free to use. The location of the apartment is a blessing and a curse. It it located just steps away from the Pantheon and all the restaurants of the Latin Quater. The only problem is that this apartment is right on top of a restaurant and it is VERY LOUD at night. Most of the time people were partying till 3am and once even till 5am. If you need quiet to sleep, this is not the place for you. But it is nice if you want to be right in the middle of everything. The metro stops and grocery store are rather close. My biggest and only real complaint is the communication regarding checkin. Four days before our trip I contacted the property manager regarding check in and wifi password. He answered quickly my other questions but nothing about check in and wifi. I sent him another email a day before my trip confirming that he was going to meet me at the apartment to let me in. His response was “ok then”. Needless to say no one was there to let us in. While we were sitting outside waiting for anyone to show I met a family checking into another Cosy rental who said that they too were never emailed anything about check in and had to call the office directly to get that that information. They then were told that it must have went to their spam email although the guy told me that, that was not true. Finally after sending emails and calling their emergency line I finally got someone to give me the check in details. I was then told that all the information was emailed to me on November 11th and must have gone to my spam. I am pretty sure that this is just a line they use since I didn’t even book this apartment until November 13th so it was completely impossible to send me the information 2 days before.
