Nestled in East Nashville, this attractive house for $511 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Spacious 3 Bd, 2.5ba home 1.1 miles to downtown, the Greenway, I-24/65, & East Nashville’s 5 Points Nashville is re-opening safely and smoothly! Restaurants are at 75% capacity; music venues are now allowed to have full bands and multiple acts; and retail and commercial businesses are operating at 75% capacity and adhering to CDC safety guidelines. Shelby House is following VRBO cleaning guidelines plus additional efforts. We're looking forward to hosting you in our wonderful Music City! Whether you’re here to experience Nashville's people and places, commune with nature, network with colleagues, or unwind off the grid, Shelby House is the home for you. Come for Nashville's food scene, sports, graduations, hot chicken, antiques, music festivals, and more! This vacation rental features unique architectural details and elegant furnishings in a casual and spacious setting where enjoyment and relaxation are top priorities. High-end furniture, local artists’ flair, luxurious linens, and contemporary conveniences are a few of the personal touches. Abundant windows and high ceilings usher in lots of natural light. Décor features stained hard wood floors on the first floor, and plush carpeting on the second with contemporary earth tones and a nod to nature throughout. The spacious dining and living areas flow into an open kitchen well-stocked with amenities for preparing meals large and small. Enjoy your kitchen creations at the reclaimed wood dining table which seats 10, the marble counter top bar for 4, or al fresco at the bistro table on the spacious wooden deck overlooking the lush green yard and flower gardens. With its occasional chair and two sleeper sofas, the ultra-comfortable den is the hub for conversation, TV-viewing, and relaxation among friends and family. The first bedroom boasts a queen-size, walnut sleigh bed, large closet, and local photos of Nashville’s Shelby Bottoms and true gems of Vanderbilt University's campus arboretum. An en suite full bath with tub and shower, tile floors, marble counter tops, and double sinks has pocket door entrances and is shared with the second bedroom, a contemporary casual setting with a small closet and a queen-size bed and dresser crafted from reclaimed wood. The spacious master suite features a queen-size bed with a 20th-century style iron and linen headboard, brass and iron night stands, vaulted ceiling, and a glamorous chandelier (see the photo!). The spacious suite includes a private full bath with shower, tile floors, marble counter tops, double sinks, and modern cabinetry. All bedrooms accommodate two people. We have two custom built sofas in the living room that fold out to provide a comfortable bed for the last 4 members of your party. These mattresses are quite comfortable, just over a year old, and have received very positive reviews from our previous guests. There is off-street parking for two cars in the back of the house and free street parking on Shelby Avenue. Public bus routes, rideshare, taxis, bike lanes, and sidewalks are abundant. We’re a five-minute ride (or 15-minute walk) to Nissan Stadium, downtown Nashville, Music City Center, the Frist Center for Visual Arts, Bridgestone Arena, Ascend Amphitheater, the Schermerhorn Sympony Center, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, and many of Music City’s thriving entertainment spots, including the Country Music Hall of Fame, the revered Ryman Auditorium, live-music venues, such as Tootsie’s and The Stage, and numerous rooftop restaurants, pubs, and dance halls. Within a 10-15 minute drive are restaurants and shops in the Gulch, the 12 South & Melrose Neighborhoods, several college campuses (Vandy, Fisk, Belmont, TSU), the Green Hills Mall, & Opry Mills. Arrington Vineyards, historic downtown Franklin, numerous lakes/marinas, and state parks and hiking trails are barely 20 minutes away. Easy accessibility! Drive straight to the property and gain access via a unique key code provided only to you. We follow all local and state permit and tax rules. Reservations include applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, any service fees charged by listing agencies, and a Property Damage Protection insurance policy and/or security deposit. This is not a party house and has strict rules on noise. We work hard to make sure our neighbors are not inconvenienced by our guests and require all to adhere to our house rules. We recommend you look for other places if you are in town to party. We are members of the "Top 3%," a small group of hosts who donate up to 3% "off the top" to local non-profits. This year, we have supported tornado victims from the F3 tornado that tore across Nashville on March 3, 2020. From 2017 to 2019, Shelby House's contributions have supported military veterans at Operation Stand Down Tennessee. In 2018, we also supported the national chapter of GAN (Giant Axonal Neuropathy). Families with children are welcome. To assist in your packing/travel plans, we have: a pack-n-play, a high chair, step stools, children's books, toys, and games for all ages.

We had the best time at the Shelby House! The Location was great- a quick Uber ride to everything you want to do and experience while in Nashville! We had 7 adults and we all fit very comfortably. The house was clean and spacious with lovely accommodations. Beds were very comfortable and Jeff was very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here!

We had such a great time at this property. The hosts were great with communication, met us at the house upon check-in to make sure it met our needs and responded to all emails quickly (prior to arrival; we had no needs during our stay). The house was very clean and organized and we had everything we needed! We had 6 adults and it was extremely comfortable for all. We definitely would recommend this property!

House was beautiful, had everything we needed for our six-night stay. Jeff, the owner, met us when we checked in, showed us around the house and had great recommendations for places to eat. It was an easy drive or Uber into Nashville, less than two miles. Master bedroom and bath were spacious. Two other bedrooms were comfortable and shared a jack and jill bathroom. Nice deck off the back of the house. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Shelby house! Everything was extremely clean, lots of space to spread out with our three couples and three toddlers, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, all in a very nicely furnished and updated home. Absolutely perfect location. Jeff was extremely quick in his responses, easy to communicate with, and he and his wife went above and beyond for us during our stay. We can’t wait to come back!

This house was amazing! Very clean and comfortable. Locations was great. Short 10 ride to Broadway. Loved the open concept on the main floor. It bad the flow of the family vacation so much better to interact with eachother. Fulle equipped with all commodities. Rear alley parking enough for two vehicles. Loved the dining table. We were all able to sit down as a big family with 9 of us to eat. Would definitely rent this property again and will be one to refer to other.

It couldn’t get any better. The home is clean and spacious with beautiful furnishings and comfortable bedrooms. We had a fabulous holiday celebration while enjoying several restaurants that are close by. We will recommend this home and the attentive hosts. Will definitely stay here again.

Place was very clean and furniture was either new or well maintained. Nice charm with the recovered wood pieces. TV included a lot of channels and a DVR.
Beds were comfortable and rooms were nice size for two people each.
Kitchen was well stocked, and cutlery was as sharp as any I have encountered at any rental anywhere. Rare pleasure that I really appreciated.
Shelby Ave may be a bit noisy for light sleepers in the front bedroom, so recommend you contact host to discuss if that is a potential issue for you.
Getting in and out of downtown was pretty convenient from the location. We used a parking app to get spots downtown at a discount... no problem even on New Years Eve. One night, we walked to East Nashville restaurants and bars with little problem... about 20 minute walk.

What a lovely townhouse. We had four adults two children, and it worked out perfectly. The amenities were great, the location was exceptional for being close to our family. The owner jeff, and his wife went way out of their way to accommodate us. They are amazing owners, and I can’t recommend this home enough.

Property was as described. Location was a reasonable uber ride to broadway. House next door was interesting, looked like a muskrat was the only occupant. The closets could have used a few more hangers. Jeff was fast to respond & let us check in & out early & late. Would recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time exploring Nashville for the first time! This rental is beautifully appointed, newly decorated and remodeled, cozy & quiet. It has everything you need plus a few extras in case you've forgotten something...like rain ponchos! Communication with the owner was very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend!

What a great property!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this property. The furnishings were top notch with anything you could possibly need. Being a musician a cheap guitar and a few sets of strings not be bad for decoration and light picking. Haha. Jeff met us at the house upon arrival and let us know the essentials and was more than ready with the recommendations for things to do or places go. The location can’t be beat. This locations is literally a 5 minute Uber or less from downtown. Super convenient. We did have a couple guests that arrived around 10pm….it was snowing and they picked the wrong gate and accidentally went into the neighbors yard. Park to the right side of the fence when using the alley….Jeff told us but our friends were exhausted and forgot. I can’t stress how nice this place is. We usually go to Tahoe for a trip and threw Nashville as a wildcard this year. Comparable to properties out there. Super nice. Owners above and beyond amazing. Book this you won’t regret it.
