Close to downtown. Clean place and write-up is accurate. King bed was very comfortable. Close to I-40 so you can hear road noise, but it was ok.

What a gem! We loved the location - it is easily accessible and convenient to downtown Black Mountain yet feels secluded with a beautiful mountain view. The home was very clean and well-equiped. We truly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to renting it again.

We spent fight nights at the Getaway Disoway in November, using Black Mountain as a base for hiking in the area. We loved everything about our stay - the first night we arrived we had planned to check out Black Mountain but we felt so warm and welcome at the cabin we stayed in, and repeated that for the night three nights. It's definitely that sort of place. It's well stocked with everything and anything you might need, and the hot tub is just the cherry on top, especially after a long day on your feet. We'd love to return again and again - it's quite clear why other reviewers are repeat visitors!

We absolutely loved our stay. For me cleanliness is very important and this sweet home was CLEAN! Anything you could have needed was provided. The location was perfect too. Just a hop, skip and jump to Black Mountain proper. The hot tub was nice and clean. The owners take good care of it. If you had lots of money…the owners might consider putting in another window AC unit downstairs and screen doors on the front door and in the master would be great so you could open the windows and enjoy the fresh air. It was just my husband and me so the AC in the dining room and in the master kept the house nice and cool for us. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would like to come back again. Thank you!!! The property was excellent in all aspects… They have done a great job making it quaint but not overly decorated.. Very clean and accessible. Only negative at all is that it would be nice if it was within walking distance. Only a very very short easy drive however…

We had a great time in Black Mountain / Asheville. The location of the house made for easy access for hiking, site seeing and visiting Asheville. Ingles grocery store was very close by which was good for us since we cooked about 75% of our meals. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The house is also very close to town. Tony was a good host.

This property was everything we needed. Felt like you were away from everything but truly close to everything. Pet friendly. Hot tub. Claw foot tub too!!! We would definitely stay here again. Was sitting in the swing out back and seen a bear at the edge of the yard eating out of the tree! We loved our stay!

This cabin is very, very, clean. It has everything you’d need for a weekend getaway or week long stay. We would have loved if this location was more secluded yet it was very close to everything we needed. We easily drove up to Chimney Rock from the cabin. The king bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

I booked this cottage for a romantic Valentine's Day weekend and it DID NOT disappoint. Everything...I mean EVERYTHING was thought of in this cozy cottage...all the way down to robes for the hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bathroom had every towel and amenity you can think of. The house was thoroughly cleaned and the hot tub was AMAZING! The oversized recliner sofa in the livingroom was relaxing and the master bed was comfy. Gas station, grocery store, pharmacy all within a mile. The ONLY word of caution I will add is that the front door automictically swings close behind you and can be opened from the inside while locked...thus locking you out!! Thankfully I had placed the key in my pocket while unloading, but I can see how that could have been problematic! Other than that...not one issue. Tony (the owner) responds quickly and is very kind. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We WILL be back!

This was our second time staying here. Tricia and Tony are amazing hosts. The view from the master bedroom is amazing. The weather was extremely cold (-21) and we all stayed warm. The kitchen has all the appliances needed. The beds are very comfortable. Minutes from the historic downtown of Black Mountain. 15 minutes from Downtown Asheville. A must stay

My friends and I really enjoyed staying at this property, mostly for convenience. We loved being 4 min from downtown black mountain and a short drive to other towns such as Brevard, Asheville and Weaverville. We used the hot tub every night which was a treat.

We really loved this cottage. It was so homey and SUPER CLEAN! Hot tub was lovely after a long hike in Montreat. We really liked being close to downtown, yet we felt secluded. Tony was awesome in communication. We were thrilled to find a new comfortable place to stay. All of the linens were really nice. Kitchen very well stocked. We loved it here. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was cozy and the hot tub was wonderful! We had everything we needed plus more- like his and hers robes to use. We liked all the fall decorations and the mix of old and new decor. Our bed was comfy and the towels soft and fluffy. We highly recommend the Getaway!

This property was in a perfect location to jump off to Black Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway or Asheville. Airport was 25 minutes away. It is right off a main road so you have Cel service and access to Ingles grocery and a Walgreens. You can be in a tree setting without being out in the wild. The home itself was an adorable 1945 cabin with wood walls and floors, a cozy kitchen with all the amenities and a washer in the basement. We loved sitting on the deck. It is small and cozy, but our group of 3 each got a bedroom which is more than a hotel would offer. We arranged our use of the one bathroom fine. If anyone is high maintenance, that may be an issue, but we thought it very doable. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the hot tub and view of the Mountain while relaxing! The house is cozy due to it being built in the 1940s. Plenty of kitchen utensils and dinnerware. Easy access to Asheville!

Delightful charming cabin in the woods with hot tub that is dog friendly. Everything was as pictured and reminders of how life is good abound. Very close to town where there are restaurants and shopping, and an easy drive to Asheville. The hosts were generous to stock vital necessities like dishwashing liquid and salt and pepper and shampoo-not everyone does this. Would recommend.

This was our first vacation after a two-year travel delay due to COVID, and it was the perfect getaway from us. The mountain view is unrivaled, and the cottage was in pristine condition. We could be downtown in three to four minutes by car (we did not get to all the restaurants we wanted to try!) and to Asheville in 15-20 minutes. We hope to return to Getaway Disosway next year!
