We have visited this cabin six times over the past twelve years and always found it spotless, This year, the floors and rugs had not been vacuumed, and we had to clean up a bit before we felt comfortable. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, the cabin wasn't ready. That's understandable, so we drove into Gatlinburg to kill time. Within ten minutes, we saw our first bear. We drove back to the cabin and within two hours, saw two more bears. We were off to an incredible start or were we. There was used bar soap left in the restrooms and dirty towels left in the bathtubs. An employee quickly offered to send the cleaning crew back out, but it wasn't needed. We took care of it. We were finally able to begin our peaceful vacation. Unfortunately, that peace ended quickly. There was a new cabin being built approximately 30-35 yards from our cabin door. Construction took place from 8:30 to 6:30 daily. Hammering, nail guns, a boom lift beeping throughout the day, dropped lumber, etc. took over the offered and advertised "quiet mountain setting". I complained on Wednesday and the ESR associate seemed surprised about the construction. She forwarded our concerns to management and stated that she would call back. She followed up rather quickly and said that nothing could be done. She also stated that she informed management that the construction should be posted on the ESR website so customers or potential customers could be aware. For ten hours each day, our stay at the cabin was miserable. For 42 percent of each day, we couldn't enjoy quiet time in the cabin or outside on the balcony. I requested multiple times for management to call me. As of this review, they still haven't called. My communication was with an ESR employee via text messages. The final compensation offer was 15 percent. The cabin was booked months ago, so ESR had an opportunity to warn us of the construction prior to arrival. They simply chose not to. Operate with integrity. This was our second visit to this particular cabin. Overall, the cabin itself was nice. The water pressure wasn't as good as our previous visit, but it was tolerable. Customer service is lacking. Management follow up was extremely poor.

I was quite disappointed when I looked outside and all I could see was trees so I didn't even sit out on the deck. The cabin itself was beautiful. I would only have minor complaints. The blower on air hockey table is very weak, however my girls had a blast with all the games, huge bonus. Also the bunk room for my girls was right above master bedroom and we could hear every movement like they were falling through the floor. Customer service is awesome, we had an issue with the projector our first night and called the next morning and maintenance came out that afternoon and fixed it, they were really nice.

The location of the cabin is great. Less than 10 minutes to Downtown Gatlinburg and just a bit further to Pigeon Forge. The view from the back deck is amazing, and I can only imagine it gets even better in the Fall. Each evening, the kids were exciting to go back to the cabin. We will definitely be back.

The pool table, air Hockey and arcade definitely kept my 4 sons, daughter and niece occupied! We all loved the theater room as well! The kitchen was equipped with all the cookware, plates and utensils that we needed! There's a blender also! My Husband kept saying you did a great job choosing this place baby! Hubby was very satisfied as well! The staff was very attentive! The check in process was very simple! Not far from from all the fun activities in Pigeon Forge! My only request is to install a better shower head for the bathroom located above the kitchen. We can't wait to book our next stay at Elk Springs Resort!

Even with on-site construction nearby, it was a very welcomed and peaceful stay. This was our second stay at ESR properties and it won't be our last. Overall, the cabin itself was almost perfect. There were some minor missed cleaning issues (food on the kitchen floor, food stuck in the spacer area of the kitchen table, hair in the shower and loose Cheetos at the edge of the heart shaped bathtub). We always clean and disinfect when we first arrive so it wasn't a deal breaker for us. The rest of the cabin was extremely clean so it was easy to look past a few small issues. The bedrooms were large and extremely nice. The gaming area was fun and had plenty of options. There was no pool cue chalk or brush to clean the pool table, but again, no deal breaker. The theater room was larger than expected and really nice. The deck, hot tub and view didn't disappoint. The kitchen was well stocked and of adequate size. The living room was large and cozy. Again, we were extremely pleased despite a few, minor issues. I would definitely recommend the cabin and Elk Springs Resort properties to anyone. Thank you, ESR. We had a blast!

Reviewer Comments: As repeat rental customers, we were disappointed in The View. It is not "up to par" as Elk Springs rentals have been in the past for us. Upon arrival, the bedding had hair in each bed. The cabin was dirty in general. The mattress pads need replaced. The carpets and floors need to be thoroughly cleaned. We had our first 2 nights interrupted with plumbing problems, which happen with any older home or cabin. The maintenance did come and fix it promptly and were very nice. We were told the kids could ride bikes in the cul-de-sac but the road is graveled due to construction. We really wanted a view of the mountains (according to your description) but the tree growth impeded the view from The View. Had the cabin felt clean, our satisfaction would have been much higher. I recommend shutting the cabin for a thorough deep cleaning including under the beds and in the dining table crack. The ice maker does not work either. Enough for now.

Our first day the cabin was a bit hot, so we were concerned the a/c might not be working properly. Someone came out within an hour to check it out. The a/c was fine, but since the cabin has an entire wall of windows (thus the name "The View") it took a little longer than normal to cool down. It cooled down overnight and was fine the rest of our stay. I would definitely stay at another one of Elk Springs' properties.

We were disappointed that the video arcade was not working during our stay and that the theater room only runs dvds. We were hoping to stream from our already paid for streaming services like FUBO Netflix etc. the cabin was very clean and had all the basic necessities. We cooked almost every meal there for a family of 6 and had all the kitchen equipment needed. The roads from the cabin to pigeon forge are narrow and winding and there were several trees down. The roads to Gatlinburg were fine. All were paved. Overall was the a good place to stay .
