This two-bedroom South Padre Island condo is located right on Gulf Blvd., directly across the street from the beach. Spend a day sunbathing on the sands or splashing in the warm Gulf waters. Kick back and relax in the living area with its matching leather sofa and loveseat or gather at the glass-topped dining room table with colorful seating for four to plan out your days or dine on delicious, home-cooked meals prepared in the adjacent, full kitchen. Location and condo where great; really liked the complex and it was family friendly. However, condo unit lacked basics to make a week stay for a family of five efficient. We had only five forks for the week. Half the drinking glasses provided were small baby food type jars. We had to buy additional toilet paper and dishwasher detergent, and there were no potholders/ oven mitts to use with the oven. In addition, there were no instructions on how to use the TV and the remote that was provided did not seem to operate the television.

I dealt with spiders and fruit flies on our arrival. Vacasa sent me the wrong key code and had my children, food in the hot sun while calling for assistance from Vacasa to send the property manager. The pool and hot tub was a highlight of our stay.

We enjoyed our short stay, everything was so convenient for my family, a couple of things we encountered no hot water while showering and our designated parking spots were taken by a random people the two nights we stayed, other than that we had a wonderful time

On the surface it looked average, but considering all the repair and safety issues. I can’t rate higher than two and should rate it a one. When we arrived there were several light bulbs that were burned out, when you opened the dishwasher it tilted forward flopped onto the floor, the patio doors wouldn’t lock, the coffee pot was cracked and there was very little hot water. We notified our contact of these issues, the coffee pot was taken care of right away but it took seven days and several emails before the light bulbs, water heater and the dishwasher were dealt with and then only partially. The dishwasher needed to mounted to the cabinet which it was and the latch needed to be replaced. We left on the 31st and the dishwasher latch hasn’t been dealt with yet. We ended up wiping up the water on the floor every time we used it. We asked them to fix the latches on the patio doors. Their solution was a stick in the track to block opening the door. I had already done this. Doors still aren’t fixed and by the way I took my dowels with me. There is also no strike plate on the deadbolt for the front door and there is only about a quarter inch of worn and weathered wood holding it in place. There are also shorts in the wiring for the porch lights after the bulbs were replaced they would flicker on and off several times before they turned on. There is also an uncovered outlet in the second bedroom. There were other minor issues like the clip for the internet cable was broken. At the lightest bump you could lose internet, the stove light was burned out, we ended up washing all the dishes before we used them because they didn’t feel clean, the drain lines under the downstairs bathroom sink have a dirt build up and don’t appear to ever have been cleaned. After the poor response to our initial requests we just gave up on expecting them to repair the rest of the problems. We left at least four texts, nine reminders and two phone messages to our repair contact and never received a response on either. Not only was this property is a state of disrepair, their response to our requests was slow and in some cases completely ignored. If we could have afforded it we would have left and found other housing but unfortunately that wasn’t an option. I am quite disappointed that the vetting of these properties was not more through.
