After locating this property on Vrbo, including all reviews, our expectations were very high. Honestly, the cabin exceeded those expectations! The kitchen was furnished with high-end appliances, the bathrooms were very nice with good water pressure, and we were able to utilize our YouTubeTV streaming services on the 2 TVs we utilized! Jim, in-charge maintenence, had the TVs on ready for Super Bowl Sunday!
Cathie, our Property Manager, was absolutely a delight to work with, and very knowledgeable about not only the property itself, but, with all the places to eat and visit! We truly enjoyed our 50th wedding anniversary and looking forward to returning for more fun times!

A well appointed cabin with a spectacular view - this property has it all! Clean hot tub overlooking the mountains, game room and plenty of space. Particularly liked the abundance of bathrooms - every room has one! The floor plan is ideal! The decorations are so fun - very thoughtfully laid out. And we loved the convenience of parking - there’s a level roundabout out front. Also incredibly well located - you feel like you’re mountain remote but you are only 7 minutes from tons of shopping and food!
We have stayed at several vacation rentals in the area and this one is by far our favorite!

It is truly hard to put into words just how incredible the cabin is. The view alone is enough to take your breath away. The cabin is so beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. Truly an amazing place to stay and will absolutely be booking again in the future.

The most beautiful cabin - just like the pictures - in an outstanding location - peaceful and serene with an unobstructed view of Mount LeConte - yet less than a 5 minute drive to restaurants and stores - including Gatlinburg's arts and crafts community. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Fall and was spotless. The comfortable bedding and blackout curtains ensured the best sleep I have had in ages ! We enjoyed watching a couple movies in the media room, and also soaking in the private hot tub. Cathie was the best owner ever - thank you for sharing your second home with us - we hope to come soon !

This cabin was easy to get to from light #3 in Gatlinburg off 321. Food city, various restaurants and stores within a short drive of the cabin to pick up anything you might need on the way. The cabin welcomes you with a circular drive and a large bear statue. A few steps up to the large porch that wraps around to the door and on further to the amazing views of the mountains. The porches were well appointed with comfortable seating,swing, table and a hot tub. Inside the cabin is decorated to make you feel right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix meals there at the cabin. Living room had a large tv with comfortable seating and a fireplace for those chilly nites. There is also a media room with a large sectional and movies, and even a karaoke setup. It was nice that each bedroom has its own closet, bath, ceiling fan and TV within. We really enjoyed the game room in the loft area, spent alot of time playing pool, darts, checkers and Pac-Man. Everything was super clean and Cathie was a great host to work with from the ease of making the reservations, to when we arrived and she checked in to see that everything was okay to thanking us upon departure for staying with her! This was a great place to stay! We will be back!

The view is breathtaking! Honestly looks like something out of a painting! The parking was so convenient and easy to get to. Our Pomeranian, Charlie, had a BLAST! If we weren’t on the back porch, we were in the theater room with a glass of wine. We will always remember our stay here and will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin! The view is amazing! I took probably 20 pictures at different times of the day because depending on the sun it looks a little different!! We saw a mama bear and baby cubs in the backyard one afternoon, They were just passing through. The inside is decorated cute and comfortable. It had everything you would need. It’s nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom. Would stay again. Cathy was wonderful to work with!

This is our second time at this cabin, and it definitely won’t be our last! We love everything about it…It is cozy and comfortable, beautiful inside and out! We love the regular decor, and also the fact that it was decorated for the season…Such a special touch. The mountain views from the decks can’t be beat! It’s even better than the photos. Everything is super clean, too, which we really appreciate! Cathie is so easy to communicate with and extremely welcoming, making it a joy to work with her. Can’t wait to come back!

The cabin was amazing! All as described, including the view. Very clean and up to date. Cathie, the owner, was excellent! She checked in on us via texts and made herself available if we needed anything. However, we did not need anything during our stay. The check in, check out procedure was seamless. I would recommend this cabin to family and friends and I would go back for certain. Our kids loved it too!

This property has amazing views no matter where you are standing. The bedrooms have extremely comfortable beds with blackout curtains which was great for sleeping in or an afternoon nap. Also the host made it very easy to communicate with her, even gave us some great ideas for hiking. We would definitely stay there again.

Quiet area (far enough from busy but close enough to be there in minutes) in Arts and Crafts Community, very clean cabin beautifully decorated, lots of room, property owner great to work with. But probably best of all is that view from the back decks (including from the hot tub)! We would definitely stay here again!

We’ve traveled to Gatlinburg several times and this cabin had the best view so far. Quiet area. Clean, beautiful cabin. Exactly as listed. Short drive to town. We got to visit our favorite local restaurant Three Jimmy’s. Cathie has been wonderful to work with. She checked in ahead of our trip and again after we arrived to ensure we made it safely and to make sure we had all we needed. Would highly recommend!! We’ll be back again.

Peaceful, calm, relaxing...outstanding view, absolutely beautiful cabin. From sitting on the porch drinking my morning coffee, shopping the local craft stores, having the perfect view from the dining table and finishing the day in the hot tub and then a good movie in the awesome media room then off to dream land in the comfy beds. This place is exactly as described. It was easy to find and get to. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It is very beautifully decorated. I could have sat on the porches and looked at the view all day. Best view from a cabin that I have ever stayed at. My husband and I hope to be able to stay again in the future. We had an excellent stay at Swinging on a Star for our spring break trip. The cabin had plenty of space for our family of 4. It is wonderfully decorated , well stocked with the essentials and felt like home for our week. The kids loved the loft area with a pool table, video games, darts and a singing deer! We loved using the hot tub everyday after hiking or lots of walking. This cabin is in a great location. Far enough from the main drag in Gatlinburg to be nice, quiet and peaceful but close enough that you can be to all the attractions in town within minutes. The view of the Smoky Mountains is AMAZING! Cathie, the owner, was wonderful and checked in with us to make sure everything was good and was quick to respond when we had a question. This cabin will not disappoint! We hope to be back!

This is your front row observation deck to Mt LeConte! Easy up and down off the mountain in just a few minutes! We appreciate the artistic touches and the true cabin atmosphere, as well as the outdoor areas. We would’ve loved to stay longer but we took the days that were available. When we return to the area this is where we would like to return.

We just wrapped up a beautiful spring break trip to Gatlinburg. Swingin’ On a Star is just as advertised - clean, convenient, and views that can’t be beat. This was our first time staying in the Arts and Crafts area, and while it’s a few miles away from downtown, it’s still very convenient to anywhere you want to be.
Back to the cabin…it was very clean and well stocked with appliances/linens. There’s something for everyone here - games for kids, games for adults that remind them of being a kid, a nice outdoor area, etc.
There are neighbors on both sides, but this cabin is still very private. You’ll be hard pressed to find views like you will here. Sunrise, sunset, and everything in between is stunning.
If you’re concerned about the drive up, then don’t . The roads are all paved and plenty wide for passing vehicles. Overall, the road up is fairly quiet….I can think of just a few times that we passed someone over the course of a week.
Last, our host was great! She was very responsive (within minutes) and even more informative. There was no guessing about check in or check out - which can be stressful. We knew exactly what to do and when. I hope to stay here again in the future!

Everything about the cabin was perfect. We had the most amazing views, great amenities, were super close to downtown Gatlinburg, and the kids loved it. They put so much thought into everything here. It’s hard to keep my kids entertained and they constantly had something to do. Would recommend 100 times over. Don’t pass this cabin up… book now! Can’t wait to go back soon!

The cabin was beautiful and the views left us speechless. My husband and I have stayed in several cabins in the same area and the drive to the cabin was by far the easiest. For the view we expected a “scary” ride to the top of a mountain but we were pleasantly surprised. The cabin had everything we needed and my kids loved how it felt like home. Having all the board games, pool table, and karaoke kept my kiddos entertained while we were there. My family enjoyed the hot tub as well. If there was anything that we would have changed it would have been the lighting by the hot tub. The lights that were hung did not provide enough light in our opinion but that’s not a big deal or deal breaker. The cabin was AMAZING and the owner was so nice.

Loved this cabin, the location and view cannot not be beat! Cathie was super helpful and responsive, a true hostess. The kids loved the hot tub, game room, and media room. Beds were very comfortable as was all of the living room furniture. Bathrooms were very clean and plenty of towels. Kitchen had everything we needed and more for the week. We hope to be back! The Swingiin’ On A Star cabin was off the hook fabulous! The owner, Cathie, went more than out of her way making our 40th Anniversary trip extra special. On our actual anniversary day a knock at the door presented itself with a beautiful vase of red roses from her. She even helped with watching our favorite NFL team play, which was not available on regular cable. We rate this cabin in the top 1% in Gatlinburg. It was very peaceful, the views were spectacular and only 10 minutes away from downtown. It is a must pick for a guaranteed fabulous getaway!

Nice bathrooms with nice towels not those really thin ones you normally get in Vacation Rental Cabins. Kitchen has everything you need for meal preparation. Media room very comfortable with awesome blankets. Spectacular Mt. Views from inside and out on the 2 balconies. Very quiet and just minutes to the main highway. Even had a couple wildlife visitors. Must visit this cabin.

We had an amazing stay at Swingin on a Star. The views are spectacular and we could have spent days just sitting on the deck and enjoying. There is so much to do nearby in Gatlinburg and just a little beyond. We enjoyed hiking in the Smokey Mountains, moonshine and wine tasting, and dining at nearby restaurants. You cannot beat the location and views of this property. The cabin is located at the top of a mountain drive and beautiful view of the Mount LeConte and other Smoky peaks. Once you wind down the mountain, you are within minutes to grocery store, restaurants, and ice cream and only 5-10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and entrance of the Smoky NP. The cabin itself is cozy and clean and our boys loved the game room with pool table and old school game console with Pac-Man, asteroids, etc. We enjoyed grilling dinners on the charcoal grill and eating on the porch looking out over the mountains and later relaxing sore hiking muscles in the hot tub. Cathie was a great host - very responsive. We appreciated the advance notice to bring our own seasonings and oils, xtra paper towels and toilet paper from home. The kitchen otherwise was fully stocked with pans, knives, Corningware, trays, toaster, coffee maker and dishes. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows. We highly recommend this cabin.

Our family had an amazing time at swingin on a star! Great location and the view was perfect! Kids had fun with game area and loved singing to the karaoke! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Loved that the property is pet friendly so we could bring our fur babies with us. Cathie was very responsive and easy to work with! Would definitely stay at this property again!

Amazing Views!
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay last week at Swingin on a Star. The views are absolutely spectacular! It's in a very private setting- there are neighbors but you can't see them with the trees. We did happen to see two bears on our last day- it was the highlight of our stay!
We enjoyed using the media/screening room and even did a little karaoke. The hot tub was also really relaxing. We would unwind each evening in the hot tub and look at the mountain views.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very clean and comfortable. You can tell the property is extremely well maintained.
Cathie was great to work with and made everything so easy.
To be honest, the house was best part of our whole vacation- we easily could have stayed at the house the entire time instead of venturing out. The town of Gatlinburg is like 80% tourist traps, although kids/families may enjoy some of it. The local artisan shops off of Glade Rd were much better than downtown in our opinion- would also recommend the Fox and the Parrot Pub. There are obviously great trails in the Smokys but they can be crowded (especially this time of year). I would say Cades Cove is a must, but go early for sure (like 6, 7 am early). And again, this house has some of the best views you can get; and you don't have hike a single step to see them :)

This was such a fun honeymoon for my wife and I. We loved the cabin, and we really hated to leave. It was clean, had a great hot tub, and had everything we needed. The location was awesome not being too far from town. It was not as isolated as we thought with other cabins being around it, but we were glad to have some friendly neighbors while we were there. In the end, we decided we would prefer having neighbors versus totally isolated. This cabin still felt very secluded which was nice. We hope to visit this cabin again in the years to come! Thank you!

Perfect Honeymoon
This was such a fun honeymoon for my wife and I. We loved the cabin, and we really hated to leave. It was clean, had a great hot tub, and had everything we needed.
