When you walk in the front door you’ll immediately be stopped in your tracks by the amazing view and the many large windows through which you can look out on the misty blue mountains. No matter which of the three floors you look out from, you have access to this picture-perfect view. From your wood plank walled living room, you can gaze out on the mountains, watch the crackling fire in your stone-surround fireplace, or take in a TV show or ballgame on the large wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Three large leather couches provide plenty of seating for all. You even have free Wi-Fi in case you want to send some photos home to friends. The main floor living areas create an open, inviting space that encompasses the kitchen, dining area, and living room. Your All About the View kitchen features stainless steel appliances, loads of cabinets, granite countertops, and everything you need to prepare meals and serve your group. You have a park-style charcoal grill outside in case you want to sizzle up some steaks some evening. Just off the kitchen, you’ll find the stacked washer and dryer. No need to locate a Laundromat when you stay at All About the View. You can serve your group meals all at once when you stay at All About the View. There’s space for everyone around the large dining room table for 12. Enjoy the view while you savor your culinary creations. You’ll never run out of fun things to do when you stay at All About the View. There are two separate game rooms. One with an air hockey table, couch, and TV and a second with a pool table, 20-game arcade, couch, and TV. Open the door to the deck in either room and let the wonderful mountain air inside. It’s so refreshing! All About the View also has its own home theater outfitted with 12 cinema-style chairs and a large flat-screen TV. Location of cabin was convenient to downtown Gatlinburg. A little noisy at times as we were close to several other homes that were up and down mountain. We had a bear that visited us regularly so that was neat. The bathrooms were small but overall the place was as advertised. The view was as advertised as well.

The lodge and property was excellent. The view was spectacular. The only issue or concern was I place a work order for a TV that we weren’t able to turn on after check in and maintenance didn’t show up. Other than that great place.

We loved our family trip to the Smoky Mountains. But the Moonlight Lodge was so dirty and had such a long list of problems. He's a few big ones: one refrigerator unplugged and sitting in the dining room when we arrived, one stove/range with broken off handle, unusable TVs with no instructions and not set up properly, no view of the mountains because a few big trees are in the way, interior floors so dirty that turned out feet black, one dishwasher that didn't clean, leaky upstairs bathroom.... anyway you get the idea. I didn't book this property initially, it was a substitute choice when Jackson Mountain Homes notified me one week begot our trip that our initial property had been damaged and was under repair. These were NOT apples to apples properties but I paid the same for an dirty, run-down property without a view. Not a happy camper and hoping Jackson Mountain Homes steps up and makes it right.

Ok, let’s start with the fact that this review is 25% for this property (or maybe this will help these owners get out of the poor management that is Jackson Mountain Homes). We booked this property but stayed at another. The plans were changed with less than 6 hours of our stepping foot on the house. I’m talking about: we were driving to the house and got a surprise call that this house had a roof issue and that we had to choose one of three properties offered as alternative. At this point we selected the only one that could fit our group. Ok, the good: it doesn’t matter where you are- spending time with friends and family is precious and the focus is to not let external factors ruin the memory of being together. The bad: the house they put us in was in Pidgeon Forge and added 20-40 more minutes to our drive to the park. Our whole vibe was to enjoy the park and trails. Instead we were in the middle of lots and lots of traffic and loud trucks revving up all hours of the night (2,3,4 AM). Also, the house had a strange layout. Ready for the ugly?! Where to start. The house has bedbugs. I let them know when we found out, that is when we were taking the sheets off and checking out. At this point, they said it was too late. Apparently they couldn’t do anything because we should have warned them before. I pray that they got the photo, listened and at least treated the house before the next family gets there and has their kids bitten and stuff ruined. More? We called them and explained that we hoped and expected a comp day given all the troubles and the hassle and unsavory situations. They offered us to “round up the difference” from the houses with a whooping $30 if we signed a NDA that we couldn’t review them online. No sir and madam. We said keep your $30 and we will reserve the right to tell the world about Jackson Mountain Homes bad customer service and BED BUGS. Be safe y’all. This is the first VRBO I have ever stayed in the last 10 years that made me write something like this.
