Conveniently located approximately 90 minutes south of Anchorage, the Mystic Lodge is a custom built chalet in the heart of the Kenai Mountains. Featuring hardwood floors in the living room, tile in the kitchen/bath and wall to wall carpet in the bedrooms your feet are always warm from the radiant in floor heating. With a cathedral ceiling and elements of post and beam, you are truly 'roughing it comfortably' with some of the best fishing in the world literally at your doorstep. Tastefully appointed with artwork and local pictures, the south facing windows are practically overgrown with beautiful houseplants and offer magnificent views of the Kenai Mountains where Mt. Goats and Dall Sheep are often visible. Whether you are fishing the upper Kenai for trout or salmon, the lower Kenai for King Salmon, or the saltwater possibilities out of Seward or Homer, we are centrally located making all of these locations possible. If you are not a fisherman, there are unlimited hiking and biking trails that offer endless wildlife viewing possibilities, and we are always happy to offer suggestions or help in planning your desired activities. We loved our stay at Stacy and Shannon’s place. From the moment we booked until we checked out, they were great communicators and very helpful. Their home was so cozy and clean! It was the perfect place to land at the end of a day of fishing and exploring beautiful Alaska. We hope to be back again someday!

We just stayed for 3 nights at the cabin. The property is immaculate and the location is serene. I slept great the whole time which is rare for me. This was such a terrific find in Cooper Landing! Stacy and Shannon were warm, wonderful, and helpful hosts. We had direct acces to the lakeside beach in their backyard and it was a super comfortable and up-to-date cabin. Perfect location to get to fishing and all sorts of outdoor excursions. Couldn’t be happier with our stay.

We did not go to cooper landing to fish like many others, but we used this as a sleeping spot after long sight seeing days. The cabin was great- cozy and comfortable. The town does not have much if you aren’t there for fishing, except amazing scenery.

Wish we could have stayed longer, to enjoy not only the location right along the water, but also the beautiful home. The house was nicely equipped with all kitchen accessories, which made it convenient to cook late night meals after a day of traveling. We even were able to grill! An absolute must stay if you’re in the area!

July4-July 11 2021. We have always had great luck with VTBO rentals. The house was as photos depicted. Owners were very communicative as I had a couple of questions. The house was great for the four of us. The kitchen had some basic supplies which was nice. Other than personal belongings we made a stop at Carrs curbside grocery pick up in Anchorage before driving about an hour depending on “traffic” to Cooper Landing. This was our first visit to Alaska and the house was perfect. We loved all Shannon’s plants & Stacy was very knowledgeable about the area & fishing of course!! We hope we can return on day. Thanks

The cabin was perfect for our family. It is so comfortable and had everything we needed and it is such a beautiful location on the lake. Cooper Landing was a great location for us to explore this part of Alaska. I spent a day with Stacy on the river catching salmon, but we also drove to Seward and kayaked and hiked. Stacy is the best guide. We are definitely returning. Thank you Stacy and Shannon!

There's really too much to put in writing about this nice lakeside cabin. A perfect size for a family or two couples. Just 10 minutes from amazing salmon fishing and only 50 yards from Kenai Lake (the property is on the lakefront). Very nice fly fishing decor in the cabin. Well stocked with basic necessities and a brand new washer-dryer. Nice deck with wader hooks out front. Not many better places for anglers; albeit I'm just a novice =). Lastly, Stacy and Shannon are very accessible before and during out stay. A+

The house was as advertised. The house was beautiful and well maintained. It was a perfect for our needs. The house was very well decorated with a fly fishing theme as it was located on the Kenai River. The views were awesome especially from the second level. The bathroom had a washer dryer which was a welcome site after a week in the wilderness. The owners were very friendly and accommodating to some of our requests. We would stay at this house again!

We had a wonderful stay. Our family went all day fishing and white water rafting. We also enjoyed Kenai Lake just down the bank from the chalet. Close to so much! Beautiful weather and Stacy and Shannon were friendly and helpful people. We’ll look forward to coming back!

Perfect for the 4 of us. Quiet neighborhood, short walk down to the lake. Grilled salmon and ate on the deck. Smallish problem was only a couch and one chair. We like to play cards so pulled a lawn chair in. All the flowers and plants made it seem more "homey". We would definitely stay again.
