This property was incredible! Very cozy with plenty of space for our family to relax! We’ve stayed in the area several times over the years and this rental has by far been our favorite! Stocked with everything you could ever possibly need and very well maintained!

Great location, the best views and a cozy home. Tom was a great host and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Everyone had an amazing time and the home is well stocked with everything you will need.

We had a great time during our stay! Enjoyed seeing the lights of Gatlinburg at night and the view of the mountains!

Hard to visualize the setting of this property from photos - all the listing photos are very accurate of the home and amenities. The location - although some might think challenging to reach, renders the most incredible views. Perched high above the town of Gatlinburg - great vistas of the mountains and the lights of Gatlinburg below at night. Yet still very close to town and all the sights!

We had a great time. Love the area and Tom was great answering our questions. Plenty of room for a family. Great house.

There’s a reason this place gets almost 5 full stars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would most definitely book this cabin again should we find ourselves back in Gatlinburg. Very comfortable and homey with a fabulous view off the deck. Our host Tom was extremely personable and communication was always quick and easy Thank you, Tom!

This home ranks as a top rental for us. Super nice owners, amazing views, well appointed. The hot tub had recently broken and was scheduled to be replaced the following week of our stay but the homeowner gave us a discount. There is great, flat parking, which is unusual for this area. We also saw some bears in the neighborhood. We had a great time!

Just what we were looking for. Only draw back, some of the narrowing roads leading to the property.. Thanks Tom for a great stay..

4.5 stars. Very nice view. Road is narrow and twisty. We couldn't get up one steep section due to slippery rain but luckily there were a couple routes available. The place was decently equipped and nicely decorated although it is starting to show it's age and minir paint/updates would make it sparkle. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Perfect birthday surprise for a long weekend with family. The house was well appointed with all the amenities of home. The view is stunning, and we saw it all…sunrise, fog, thunderstorm, etc. The area is very peaceful and all you hear is nature. We even had morning visitor sightings of a Momma bear and her cubs. Extremely beautiful creatures. It’s very conveniently located to downtown Gatlinburg and close to Pigeon Forge. Roads leading to the house are nicely maintained and parking is great. We have already referred this location to many friends who visit the area often.

We had a fun week in the mountains! This was a great house. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Kitchen had everything you would need. Roads were a little intimidating but you get used to them quickly. Spectacular view of the mountains. Host was excellent. We utilized the community pools several times. There was a mamma bear and her three cubs in the area the whole time we were there. We saw them almost every day. In fact, we had them in our SUV when we were loading up to leave on the last day! Husband left the back open to load our bags. He left it unattended for a couple of minutes to grab the kids bags and I had just put gum and tic tacs in the front for our ride. The next thing we knew, 4 bear heads are bopping around in the car. They ate the gum and tic tacs, licked everything, then very nonchalantly went on their way. No damage just bear spit. So learn from our mistake or you might end up taking a bear home with you!

The house was great! The house owner did warn us about getting to house before sunset upon arrival which we appreciated since the roads were very twisty and confusing. I’m grateful to my husband who could drive those cliffs as I would be too scared to do it! House was very large and clean. . Hot tub clean with good temperature. Beds very comfortable. No bears were sighted.

Excellent home to rest and relax, tour Gatlinburg or head to the National Park.
Would rent again.

Our family of 5 had an wonderful time at this cabin for our holidays. There was plenty of space for everyone and having three bathrooms was definitely a plus. We had a great stay here. The space was perfect with two bedrooms and the game room on one level (the kids' domain) and the other bedroom with the kitchen and living spaces on the other level. Good space for togetherness and to get a break from too much togetherness. :) It was also very pet-friendly. The view was beautiful, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the hot tub was great in the evening. The drive up and down was a bit nerve-racking and we saw 2 cars needing to be rescued from the side of the narrow road. Overall, this was a great launching point for our adventures and Tom was very responsive to questions.

We had an amazing trip. The pictures of the house did not do it justice. It was a beautiful home with amazing views. The house was very well equipped with more than we needed to spend time away with our family and dog. Thank you!

Very nice cabin located close to Gatlinburgh’s main strip with beautiful views! House had all the comforts of home. Nice hot running water. Comfortable beds. Had zero problems. Only complaint is the hot tub, while very clean and well taken care of, doesn’t maintain its heat very well. The nights were only mildly chilly (maybe 55 at the lowest) and the hot tub went from 104 to a tepid 96 degrees after about 30 minutes. Other than that it was fantastic. Recommend grabbing groceries before arriving. Nearest market is a mom and pop that charges $5 for a dozen eggs. Other than that you’re trucking it 30 minutes to pigeon forge.

We were lucky enough to stay when fall colors were at there peak! Incredible views from the home and everywhere we went.
The home has plenty of room to spread out on your own in your room or to be together for meals and visiting.
Comfortable bedrooms, roomy showers, and well equipped kitchen.
First few days we were nervous driving the mountain roads, but quickly adjusted.
We only saw one bear near the home, but saw many while touring the state park.
Would definitely stay here again.

We had an awesome getaway in the mountains with our friends (2 couples). It had everything we needed, essentially 2 master bedrooms and we really enjoyed the views from the deck with our coffee.
The drive was steep and a little stressful but as Tom says, get there before dark and go slow and you will be fine. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great time and great location for sunrise views. We saw bears at the house almost everyday.

My family and I just returned from a wonderful stay in Bear Mountain II! We did a lot of early morning hiking, and the location was perfect for driving right into the National Park. The view from the deck is gorgeous, especially at sunrise. My teens loved having their own rooms and bathrooms, and there was plenty of seating in the family room for everyone to relax comfortably. The cabin was very clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. Parking at the cabin was flat and easy. We also saw bears right outside the cabin and on the drives up and down the mountain almost every day! The location was also perfect for visiting all of the shops and restaurants in Gatlinburg. Tom was very easy to contact and quick to respond. We loved everything about our stay here and we will definitely try to book the cabin again in the future!

My husband and I loved the house; it was big for the two of us, but we loved having all the space. Each bedroom is neat and whimsically decorated with bear themes; an added bonus is that each has its own bathroom. Sipping coffee in the mornings from either the deck table or the kitchen table gave us the opportunity to gaze a the sunrise on the mountains: just spectacular. We also used the hot tub one night and that was relaxing and enjoyable. All in all the house is a gem, so much so that we never needed to contact the host because the property was in excellent condition with everything we needed. Sheets and towels are all good quality.
As others have commented, the roads are tricky. Go slowly and do not be intimidated if someone is behind you. Stay closer to the middle of the road and go 15 miles an hour- that is our tip regarding that situation.
We saw FIVE bears (about one a day) and one bear was staring at me from the bushes across the street when I was walking the dog. He/she was beautiful and went on their way without any fuss. Stay alert and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Finally, the Gatlinburg restaurant recommendations were solid and also ventured over to Pigeon Forge. Go to the Local Goat if you can, very delicious.
As you can see, we had a wonderful experience in this property. We highly recommend.

Wonderful Visit to the Smokies!
We had a lovely visit to the Smoky Mountains at the Bear View II! The view is spectacular and the cabin was perfect. The kitchen is better stocked than you can imagine. It was a joy to be able to bring our two dogs, but the stairs are a bit steep for our pets. Fortunately we had packed a portable gate which kept our pets safe. We saw SEVEN bears while staying there which was awesome! Be aware when heading outside. We had a few minor issues, but Tom Poole addressed them all. I recommend the house and plan to stay there again! Note: the roads are definitely steep for this Florida girl, but we got used to them during our stay.

Excellent!!
Awesome stay with great views. We took advantage of the pool table and played many games. We also tried out the pool at the owners club and the kids enjoyed the slide. We saw a mother black bear and her four cubs during our stay which was a great experience. The house was clean and comfortable for all of us.

Lovely home, but a long mountain drive!
Our stay was lovely, very nice home, although to drive up the mountain to get there takes quite a long time!! The view is very nice. Just a couple minor comments: 1. There is no extra space in the kitchen for food, paper plates, etc. The pantry is locked and all the cabinets are full so we just had to keep everything out. 2. There was little information regarding the pool and when we figured out where it was, we didn't realize we needed a pass. I did email the owner but it took him hours to respond; luckily the pool worker was able to look up our chalet information to let us in...but it would have been nice to leave pool info. 3. The king mattress in the bedroom downstairs needs to be replaced!!! The bed sinks in the middle and my husband and I were very uncomfortable. My parents stayed in the upstairs room and had no complaints though.
Other than that, lovely stay!
