About this house rental
CANCELLATION SPECIAL- $1050 OFF FOR JULY 1-8. It is an upscale 4,100 sq. ft. 3-story townhouse has lots of space for privacy of guests...3 separate living areas and 3 different outdoor areas. The property is situated directly on the beach and features a wealth of amenities. Walk off the large patio with a private swimming pool and onto the beach. The first floor of the townhouse is open-concept including: bedroom #1 (queen canopy bed and a daybed with twin trundle bed-2 twin beds or can be converted into king bed) and adjoining bath. Fully-equipped kitchen with peninsula counter seating 3 persons , living and dining room (table seats 12) with full entertainment system and 1/2 bath. The living room leads onto the patio. On the 2nd floor of Casa Familiar there is: master bedroom (bdrm #2) with a king bed & twin bed inside ottoman at foot of king bed, full ensuite bath, dressing room, 55 in flat screen, kitchenette (counter w/sink, microwave drawer, and U-line frig. & freezer w/ ice machine & balcony; bedroom # 3 bedroom with queen bed & daybed w/ trundle (2 twin beds), & ensuite full bath; #4 bedroom with queen bed, full-sized crib, & full ensuite bath; Also located on 2nd floor are: washer & dryer, game room with lg. flat screen & large outdoor living area overlooking the beach. Third floor: #5 bdrm. 2nd master w/ king bed and ensuite bathroom w/shower; #6 bdrm. 2 twin beds w/ pull-out trundle (3 twin beds) and bathroom with shower located next to bdrm.; kitchenette (sink, microwave, under-counter U-line frig w/ counter for seating; living room with fireplace & lg flatscreen TV; and, sunning area/observatory off of living area. The 3rd floor is under construction so photos will be added when completed at the first of May. All bedrooms have adjoining full baths. All 3 level living areas and both (2) master suites have large flat screen TVs. Property is private and gated on beach side. Bring your laptop; high speed internet is provided. Because of high demand in the peak season, we only rent weekly from Saturday to Saturday. If renting January or February, to keep the the pricing at its lowest for Winter Texans, we are only renting the first 2 floors (the 3rd floor will locked off unless you would like to add the 3rd floor at $150/nt extra. ____________________________________________________________________________ At each booking, all trash cans are provided with 2 liners, 2 paper towels are provided in 1st floor and 3rd floor kitchens, each bathroom is provided with hand soap and the 6 bathrooms with shower and baths have liquid soap dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is a Little Tyke house with beach pool toys on patio and 4 adirondack chairs are provided for the beach. There is a 5 day minimum for the following holidays: Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. 3 day minimum for Memorial day and Labor day.

We thoroughly loved our stay here. The ocean location and view cannot be beat. There were 8 of us (siblings and spouses), and we found the house was so spacious: there are multiple places places to sit and talk. The decor is lovely and the kitchen very well equipped.

We got this house for our business retreat, and it was amazing! Even though it was raining all weekend, the fact that we had two covered balconies-- still allowed us to have meals and meetings outside with the sound of the waves and the cool breeze.
Also the home owner was super accommodating, and the house manager was responsive to all our requests in a timely manner.
Overall, an amazing home for our retreat! Everyone loved it! 😍

Everything was great. We really liked the house. The manager was prompt in replacing a bulb and getting the pool cleaned when we requested.
Just a couple things we wanted to note. The hinge for the 3rd floor balcony door didn’t work. The master bedroom balcony door did not lock. And the ice maker on the main floor had a strange odor that made the ice smell like refrigerant.
But everything was great and we enjoyed our visit.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. Sunrise on the 2nd home patio was amazing and home had everything we needed. Home was in a great location and right on the beach. Owner had awesome communication and very accommodating. Would definitely come and stay again. :)

Great communication with the owner! We had 3 families in this property over Labor Day weekend and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and sleep comfortably. This house is stocked with all of the kitchen supplies you could need and is perfectly situated right on the beach. Right down the beach from Wanna Wanna if you want to walk down and grab a frozen drink, but far enough away from the crowd that was situated right in front of Wanna Wanna. We were able to quickly walk back and forth when we needed lunch or potty breaks for the littles. The only thing we wished we had more of were bath towels. Other than that, everything was perfect! We are already planning to go back next summer!

House is beautiful and perfect for families- especially if you have any very young children who still use a crib. Great location right on the beach! Hosts & property manager are very responsive, easy to contact.
The only inconvenience is that the house did not provide beach towels so we had to pick up some on our first day.

Beautiful home with the direct access to the beach and good size pool for the kids. Our family enjoyed our stay here watching the sunrise by the beach and ending the day by playing in the beach. Trish was great and helped us with our needs. She went extra mile to ensure on the checkout day our kids could take online classes.

Wonderful layout, we had a great time. The only suggestion is to send someone to clean and put chemicals in the pool. After a week, it was starting to get a little green. Thanks.

Wonderful Beach Getaway
My family and I had a great time staying here a few weeks ago! The house is beautiful and perfectly located. Everyone was extremely helpful and responsive, especially considering the situation surrounding COVID-19. All in all, we are looking forward to visiting again!

Padre Bound
We had the most enjoyable time at Casa Familiar. This house was perfect for our family of 14. Each individual family had their own bedroom and bath and the beds were so comfy. The whole house was family friendly with games and movies available. The pool is small but perfect for our needs. The owners were so helpful with whatever questions/needs that we had. Kitchen was well stocked and newly remodeled. The stairs are not toddler friendly but we used two baby gates to help protect our little ones. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to connect with family
Patricia and Timothy were excellent hosts! There was great communication and the property was well stocked for all the amenities that were needed for our 5 day stay. The beach was super nice and very accessible and the pool helped when the day got hot and we needed some shade. All in all we had a 5 star experience.

Great set up for three separate families.
Grandparents stayed on the first floor. Larger family with two kids and a baby stayed on second floor. Smaller family with one toddler stayed on third floor. Short walk to the beach. No cell service on the first floor but there is WiFi. Take extra towels because the dryer struggled to dry what we had to wash to have clean ones to use.

Great Location and Amenities
Had a great family trip in a lovely home. It was beautiful and clean and felt like staying in someone's home. The Master bedroom was amazing, even with it's own mini fridge and microwave. The three boys loved having the bunk bed room. And everyone liked having their own bathroom. The bottom floor master worked well for our family member with mobility issues. The bathroom door was a little narrow,though, he made it work by folding up his walker a bit to go through. But it was a very accessible house in terms of how beach houses go. No steps up the front walk and he was able to take his power wheelchair almost all the way to the beach on the boardwalk directly from the house. We did have a couple house issues, that were unavoidable and I appreciated how quickly the owner responded and made sure they were taken care of.

Perfect family getaway!
We came with our 4 young children and my in laws. The house is so spacious and everyone was very comfortable. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, games, books, beach chairs... the beds were very comfortable and the place was nicely cleaned. The owner is very caring and was so attentive to our needs.
The house does not have beach towels, so make sure to bring your own. Not great water pressure... other than that, I cannot say just quite how amazing it was to stay here. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms all beautiful! Beach access is so convenient and we never even took all our things to the beach because we just had it all a few steps away on our private backyard. Coffee on the second floor patio was so peaceful and beautiful and the kids had a blast!!! We loved every minute of it! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us!!!😍

Luxury duplex in a great location.
The duplex is located about in the middle of the inhabited portion of the beach. Sunrise walks were spectacular. Walking distance to beach bars&grills and to restaurants on Padre Blvd. The unit itself is well equipped, and a great size for large families. The three levels offered areas where all can be together, and smaller spaces for small gatherings. The second level had both and indoor and deck area with wonderful beach views. The third level deck was a favorite spot in the mornings. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. In the kitchen, the ice maker makes it easy to stock a cooter for the beach or to provide ice for tea or drinks.
During our stay there was an issue with sewer gas, possibly related to some past or current remodeling. Arriving on a Saturday, it took until Monday to get someone onsite to address it.

Great house and location right on the besch
The location is incredible. Right on the beach across a short boardwalk from the patio and private pool. Living area and kitchen can easily handle 10 or more people. The kitchen has everything you need including a stocked spice cabinet. One of our guest has mobility issues and found the downstairs bedroom and bath perfect for him. The other bedrooms are spacious and have great beds...all slept well. We liked the upstairs den and balcony patio for a second space for gathering. Sunrise and coffee and a wonderful view. A little rain didn't dampen the visit just allowed time for a football game on the big screen tv. Thanks TIM and Trish

Awesome place for vacation
View was beautiful. Rooms are awesome. Bedrooms each had their own bathroom. Pool was a nice alternative to the ocean. We eould do it again.

Will stay here again.
The house was beautiful and wonderfully furnished. Enough space in the driveway for our 4 cars!! Kitchen was well supplied and big enough to fit several cooks at one time. The ocean view was spectacular. We had a great time.

Great house with private access to beach
We had a wonderful stay at this house! Cannot beat the proximity to the beach and spaciousness of the rental. The house had enough space for all of us, adults and kids, to move around with no issues. The second family/game room upstairs was an added bonus. Everyone had their own en suite bathroom and we loved that everyone could sit at the dinner table together. (Not many rentals have that as an option.) One thing, noted in other reviews, is that we were expecting Casa Familiar but instead were given Casa Vecina. So we had to shuffle around the sleeping arrangements since not all the kids could stay in the same room as they had hoped. Other than that, everything was great. We created wonderful memories this year and look forward to coming back in the near future. Thanks for everything Tricia and Melba!

Absolutely the best family vacation!
This property is fantastic. The minute we walked in we felt love and warmth and kindness in this home. We treated the property as if we were the proud owners. The large dining table made it possible for all eleven of us to sit together and enjoy many meals. The pool was great for the little ones! Easy beach access was such a perk for the many trips to build sand castles and play in the water! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Great place to stay beach front in South Padre
This is one of the few non-condominium properties on South Padre Island. Everything was updated, clean and nice. The property felt more like someone was letting you use their beach home rather than a rental. The property owner is very friendly and easy to contact, they are responsive and eager for you to enjoy their property much as they do. The kitchen is well appointed and everything was in good condition. We enjoyed having two living areas, one for the kids and one for the adults. It really is a luxury to be able to walk straight out to the beach from the villa. We would stay here again in the future.
We would have enjoyed a better outside grill. However, the environment is harsh on grills and it would be expensive to have to replace it often to keep it nice and in good condition.
