About this house rental
Located in Truckee, this charming house for $1,254 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Luxury ski lodge with sweeping views of the mountains and forested valley beneath!!! This newly renovated 6 bedroom 4 bath house with a hot tub has over 3500 square feet and sleeps 12-18 people. All furniture is brand new and is nearly all supplied by Crate & Barrel. The open floor plan and adjoining large main deck make this house perfect for entertaining and enjoying the outdoors. This home is in a great location for any season in Lake Tahoe. Amenities include brand new hot tub, wood stove, washer & dryer, 3 LCD televisions (2 with cable service), wireless internet and DVD. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, granite countertops, and includes microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, cookware, and dinnerware. The 6 bedrooms include: a master suite with whirlpool tub, shower and private deck, a junior suite with private entrance, 3 Queen bedrooms and 1 bedroom with 2 twins. In addition, 3 pull out queen sofa beds exist: 1 in the loft, 1 in the great room and 1 in the game room. Bed linens, towels and blankets are supplied. The game room includes a 55' LCD TV, pool table, and sitting area as well as access to the neighboring forest which backs up to the house. The garage accomodates 2 cars/SUVs, and 2 additional vehicles will fit in the driveway. Located near Donner State Park, you can swim or paddleboard, camp, have a picnic, or hike the 2.5 miles of trails in the park. Bring the clubs. There are no less than 13 golf courses around Truckee. You'll have access to nearby sports/activity facilities (for a nominal fee) including a recreation center with a work-out area, pools and hot tub, downhill ski area (perfect for teaching kids) and a tennis center. There are museums, shops, restaurants and lots more!

When i first saw the pictures i was unsure if it would accommodate the party. But after checking in there was plenty of sleeping room and the home was very nice and updated. Was very happy with our stay. The rooms on the middle floor stayed almost too warm while downstairs was colder as heat rises so i would suggest the people who get hotter easily stay downstairs while the people who like warmer temps stay on the middle floor. Wi fi worked great! Had a great time making memories. Very close to boreal and sugar bowl. Would definitely recommended to qnyone seeking accommodations for larger groups.

We found the owners to be quite responsive. The house with four levels included two extra sleeper couches that were not needed for sleeping but were greatly enjoyed for sitting around on. The pool table was constantly in use. The sleeping level below the kitchen and dining room could hear noises from above while the bottom floor was pleasantly quiet.
We would happily return to this house given the opportunity.

The rental property was actually better in person than in the pictures. Very spacious and comfortable for all 18 of us. There were enough bedding and pillows for everyone. Matt was responsive to our needs (ie, additional garbage bags).
Downside- downstairs bathroom floor needs more cleaning; windows and doors should all have screens in order to be opened for fresh air; master bedroom mattress needs to be updated; some plates and cups that are cracked and chipped that we found upon arrival should be replaced.

Family vacation
Wonderful location. House was clean, bedrooms large. Seating in main gathering area was limited. Could seat 5, so we also had to sit on floor to visit. Limited seating on decks. The driveway was pitched such that the parking the rental minivan was challenging. No problem for SUV’s.

This house has lots of stairs, so would not be recommended for those who don’t tolerate stairs. The location is beautiful, high in the hills. We arrived in a snowstorm and needed chains to access property, except for all wheel drive vehicles. We had to use the shovels provided in the garage to clear the driveway before we could park our cars in the garage. Also, the smart thermostat was controlled by the owner remotely, so it was 50 degrees inside until midnight when our messages to the owner finally got through and the heat was turned on. How nice it would have been if they had preheated the house for us. We were cold after shoveling all that snow!
Otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay!

Very dirty - crusted food on many kitchen items, long black hairs all over and in beds. Couldn't use master bath spa tub, was broken. Owner tried to charge us for dirty water in the outdoor spa that wasn't there when we were occupying it, but backed off when I described the condition we found the home.

Pc Gaming Week
This is our annual PC gaming week. We had 10 people hooked up with no issues. The internet was great. Some minor issues: One shower was hot as the temperature valve was not working. Toilet paper spring was missing. Overall, we had a great time and the place was perfect especially the internet. Thanks

We had a great time during this stay, the location was perfect, house was clean and private. The only complaint from my family was there were no extra blankets to use and although we ran the heater, most were very cold throughout the night having to wear extra clothes to stay warm so Matt might want to add warm blankets for winter stays.Other than that is was awesome!

My family and i had a really good time at the property. Everything was just as expected. The only negative thing is the beds. My family and i had a hard time sleeping. The mattresses were way to hard.

Beautiful mountain house
This was a great home to stay in. It was about five min from Donner Lake and Truckee. It had lots of comfy beds, nice hot tub, and beautiful view of the forest off the back deck. Our two families had a great time. The kids loved the loft to play in. I felt like I was in a tree house! It would be great for winter too because it is practically next door to Tahoe Donner Ski Resort. I will definitely come back. The owner was available by email and text the entire time and he was very helpful. Also, WiFi was great.

Large clean cabin but could use some attention to detail
Overall good cabin clean, very comfortable beds, kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils. We had 4 families stay, plenty of beds places for everyone to spread out. Property manager Matthew was extremely responsive as we had a number of issues to resolve-No membership cards, beeping smoke detector, hot tub was not cleaned, several bathroom doors do not close due to frame misalignment, garbage cans were already full, and one burner on the stove did not work.

Nice home for a ski and snowboard trip
The home was perfect for our group. Plenty of rooms and showers. The kitchen and kitchen table was big enough for our group. The hot tub cover was the only complaint from our group. The cover is heavy and has no lift assist. Plenty of room and space for entertaining. Driveway plow and back deck shovel service showed up promptly. The hot tub was even serviced during our stay.

More Than We Could Ask For
A group of friends and I did the Spartan race in North Lake Tahoe. Matthew was very gracious in letting our group of 16 stay here for the weekend. He was very responsive to any questions we had, and made booking our stay simple. The house was extremely clean and homey. We got to quite a bit of snow during our stay, and the house was perfect for us to relax after our tough race. We had more than enough room for 16 adults, and everyone slept comfortably. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet, and close proximity to a grocery store. We were also about a 10 minute drive from a few shops and restaurants in Truckee, which was extremely awesome! I highly recommend staying at this lovely home.

As advertised, there were 15 of us, 2 kids. 12of the 13 adults had rooms to sleep in, the loft room was a bit warm, no window, but everyone else was very comfortable.
Supplied really well with towels, kitchen had plenty of dishes, cups, utensils.
The hot tub was well used:)

Home was very clean and had all the necessities. Kitchen was very well equipped and the bedrooms were very nice size. Loved having 4 bathrooms to use for our large group. The pictures of the living space, kitchen and deck area are a bit deceiving, they were smaller than we anticipated... but loved the large dining room table. We were also surprised it was three floors, I don't remember seeing that in the description. The driveway has a steep pitch, so cars that are low to the ground may not be able to use it. Overall, the home is large with plenty of rooms for people to have their own space. We had a great time and the house worked well for our family.

This house was AWESOME! As this was our first time in Lake Tahoe, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It accommodated our whole family of 16 adults just perfectly. There was plenty of open space and rooms where you could break away if you wanted some privacy. The hot tub and pool table was definitely the big hits. Highly recommended for large groups and families.

Perfect home for large families
This place was perfect for my large family. 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms in 4 different levels. The kids spent most of the day playing in the snow and playing board games or watching Netflix in the living room or game room. The house was very clean, well equiped with kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom supplies. The pool table and back porch kept the men occupied for hours. The hot tub was perfect for the ladies with a beautiful view of the pine trees. Grocery store is 15 minutes away. Matthew, who assisted with the reservation was always a call or text away for questions or concerns. If you are trying to find a large rental home with an affordable price to accommodate a large group, this is the place.

AWESOME PLACE! AWESOME HOST!
The pictures of this place on VRBO do this place no justice, the house is HUGE! Very clean, beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped and there was even firewood in the garage for the wood burning stove! Place is very close to Donner Ski resort and we really enjoyed a day of snowboarding.
Matt the host went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible and was very attentive to our needs.
I would definetely recommend this place and plan to stay here again next year!

Excellent property for a large group
Every second year, we and our three daughters and their family's have a gathering at Lake Tahoe around New Years for a week of fellowship and skiing. We have done this for the past 26 years. The grand kids have all grown from young children to young adults. Eighteen of us occupied this property and had a wonderful time. It was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Every thing worked well, the bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen and cooking facilities were fine, living quarters and TV were good and most importantly we all enjoyed our time there together.
