About this house rental

Located in Healy, this lovely house for $613 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Back on the market after taking 2 years off to rent out yearly. The Taiga House is located in the forest just north of Denali National Park. Once a spacious B&B known as "The Grand View" it has been remade into a family home with two vacation rentals. Our three bedroom, second floor residence is attached, yet private, with an entrance and yard of it's own, amazing views of the local mountains scenery and abundant charm. It sleeps six, with 2 queen beds and a daybed with trundle bed under, full bath, spacious living room/dining and fully equipped kitchen plus a washer/dryer. There is a bar-b-que grill, picnic table, fire pit and amazing wilderness just outside the door. There are restaurants, a brew pub, and a full grocery stores just a ten minute walk down the trail, or a two minute drive away, and many more restaurants, bars and shops twelve miles south in the bustling tourist zone known as Glitter Gulch outside the entrance to Denali Park.

After mounting the stairs and opening the door, you are greeted by a most glorious view. This apartment is beautifully furnished with high quality items. If you are exploring this part of Alaska, I highly recommend staying at Taiga house.

Julie & Todd were excellent host and very friendly. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We were 4 adults family and friends and we slept comfortably. The property is conveniently located to Denali National Park, about 15 minutes away. The house has amazing views of the mountains, so beautiful! And we were visited by a Mama Moose and Baby! This is a perfect house to stay in while visiting the Park. Thank you Julie and Todd for sharing your place.

The house was clean it was huge we were a party of 6 and were very comfortable. It has amazing views, its better than the pictures uploaded. Well equipped and great location just minutes away from Denali NP, groceries are just 1 mile away. We had an amazing time. Todd and Julie are super friendly and available on the app quick turnaround. Overall amazing place.

Very clean house. Beautiful property, very close to Denali entrance. Even closer to Grocery, Gas and 49th State Brewery which is very big, modern and has very good food. The house was cleaner, nicer, and larger than I was expecting. Close enough to the park for convenience but just far enough where you felt out in the wilderness and away from the crowds.

We had a great stay. The property is located in a green area with great views of the mountains and is very well appointed. It is a fifteen minute drive to the national park entrance so a great base for exploring the national park without getting caught up in the bustle closer to the park entrance. The owner Todd is friendly, responsive and helpful. The kids loved playing with the dogs in their downtime.

We had an amazing time in our Healy vacation spot. The location is amazing and so convenient. The home is perfect. There wasn’t anything that we needed once we arrived. Kitchen set up is amazing the view can’t be beat. We enjoyed the trail and friendly dogs are always a plus. The proximity to the park, rafting, and good food is perfect for a long or short stay. Highly recommend these hosts and this location!

Still the same as when we were here in 2019! Outstanding views, close to Denali Park in Healy. The BIG reasons to stay here are: 1. Super hosts in Julie and Todd 2. Three Bears grocery is 1 mile walk from the apartment, they have everything you’ll need to cook on the grill outside. 3. 49th State Brewery is 1.25 miles away and has a full bar plus awesome beer and meals. Finally, the VRBO is fully equipped and they (Todd) has a two mile round trip trail out to a nice bench. This property is our #1 in the Denali area. Scott Coghill and crew from Charleston, SC.

I would stay here over and over again! Great property with a gorgeous, scenic view. Todd was very welcoming, and told us about his well worn path to hike on his property. We slept five adults comfortably. It was clean and just perfect place to stay for our family.

This is the most fabulous view of the Alaskan mountains from our multiple living area windows. Also has a really nice hiking trail through the woods on the property. Location is convenient to restaurants, grocery store, gas station, and just a few miles north of Denali NP entrance. To top it off host was very friendly, good conversationalist and three of the friendliest dogs you'll ever meet. I could go on forever about how much we enjoyed our stay. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

The home was very comfortable - comfy living room, comfortable beds, and good water pressure. We slept 5 with the trundle bed no problem. Full kitchen was clean, updated, and essential items. Pics can’t do the view from living room and kitchen justice. Full line of large windows that ran length of the property looking out at the mountains could not be beat. Had to pull myself away from the view. 15 min drive to Denali was scenic and I am so glad we decided to stay in Healy rather than Glitter Gultch. Great restaurant only 5 min away, grocery, hardware, and essentials right around the corner. Property owner was nearby, super friendly, attentive, but left us alone except for a friendly greeting and a few tips of the area. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit is spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the view and walking the property. The owner was very friendly and responsive. We didn’t bring shampoo and body wash, but he found a few extra travel size bottles and gave them to us (be sure to bring your own!). Bear spray was provide though. The location is an easy drive to Denali. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Property was the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in. Healy is just a 15 min drive from Denali National Park. Beds were comfy, windows were equipped with blackout curtains for the sunlit evenings. The hosts were extremely helpful and courteous. If you go, say hi to Coco (host’s dog) for us.
