The friendly helpful staff the place is very dog friendly and it's comfortable.
No parking for the pub.
The room was quite tired and needs a little updating.

Breakfast good but basic. No yoghurt or fruit and only branded sugar-loaded cereals.
Many small items which individually may seem trivial but taken together amounted to evidence of a lack of attention to detail and to customer care. eg. Housekeeping - bin not emptied, toilet roll supply not checked, bulb gone in main light etc.
The really important thing was fire safety. Information and directions inadequate, escape route from our room via main staircase (the first thing to go up in a fire) or a 20ft drop from our window. The external fire escape was only accessible via locked doors. Fire door permanently held open by a fire extinguisher!

All the staff couldn't be more friendly and professional. They were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay great. They were really good with our dog too.
Nothing.

No negatives really, we did get super hot - the rooms could use fans!

Fab Breakfast and very helpful friendly staff. Easy to find car parking space and for me right across from the Fabric Room!!

Great location and young staff very helpful.
Loud music in beer garden.

Staff were great, meals and drinks good.
Room needs a lick of paint and some cracks sorted, no TV in the bedroom and the back gate was gone meaning anyone could walk round into the private courtyard.

the location
The heating was turned off in my room. Below zero temperatures outside.

location , friendly staff , food all excellent
the bedroom we had the decor was just a little tired and could do with a ‘touch up’ . Thus however did not distract or cause us any issue.

The location was fine. The general atmosphere of the pub was ok.
The room was tiny. The wifi didn't work. The staff member made me wait 35 minutes for an iron & wasn't really interested in helping me out with the wifi issue. I heard hotel stall shouting & arguing on more than one occasion. Staff were really unhelpful & rude when I went down to grab a coffee for breakfast.

The King’s Arms is well located on Melrose High Street. The room was a little ‘snug’ but for 2 nights it was fine. The breakfasts, on the other hand, were ideal!
Losing hot water in the room on the second night was far from ideal!
8.0
The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and quantity. Location in the centre if the main street is great for getting around the town.
5.0
Great location right on the high street.
The room was tiny with a very low ceiling and felt incredibly claustrophobic. Uneven floor, dirty windows, very basic bathroom. Carpets in the hall and stairs are old and dirty.

Location and dinner.
I paid for breakfast in my room rate but the hotel was unable to provide me with this . I went down for breakfast at 8.00am and had to leave restaurant at 8.50am as I was due to be fishing at 9.00am . I asked for orange juice 3 times but never received this . I left my contact details for the Manager and emailed but have not had any response . The waiter was unable to explain what was happening . Hence the rating of 1 .

Amazing location. Was Melrose 7s weekend. Staff were run off their feet but managed brilliantly, never losing patience.
Nothing really.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Good breakfast and bar facilities. Well located.
Facilities could have been a little better - no coat hangers in room, for example.

Very friendly, good location. Good bar and restaurant downstairs. Room comfortable, breakfast very good. Welcome sherry was a nice touch ( but why not something local?)
Room a wee bit on the small side.
Poached eggs at breakfast not runny, but this is nitpicking..

staff were young and inexperienced, whilst pleasant, need a little more training, no socks and scuffed feet. didn’t know their products.
