Unit 010 St Germain des Près Duplex Apartment 6 pax
About this condo rental
This beautiful duplex apartment is situated in the heart of the exciting and chic 6° arrondissement on the left bank of the Seine, just 100 meters from St. Germain de Prés with the legendary outdoor Café de Flore and the Deux Magots, historical breeding ground of Paris writers and philosophers. The quarter is in the flurry of art galleries, bakeries, antique shops, cheese shops, bookshops, home decor and small fashion boutiques. The apartment is just few blocks from Le Bon Marché, the most exclusive Parisian department store, and Gourmet Supermarket, as well as the outdoor organic food market. The Club Med gym, which offers single-session or 10-session rates, is a 10-minute walk far away. It is a duplex (2 levels) apartment completely designed by an architect and perfect for a family or two couples. This very special vacation rental is furnished with intelligence and comfort. It is located at 2nd floor via stairs within a very quiet and bright internal court. Downstairs we have a 45 square metres living area with a kitchen separate zone, a dining zone with a table suitable for 7/8 people, and a sitting zone with 2 sofas (convertibles for one person each), armchairs, Tv cable, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped: fridge, four fires cook top, oven and microwave, washing/drying machine, dishwasher and serving utensils. To go upstairs on the mezzanine you have a cockle stairs, a real example of elegance and modern design: it is centripetal but not really suitable for babies or erderly persons. Here you’ll have two opposite sleeping areas provided with two queen size beds. The bathroom has a shower cabin, lavabo, WC and bidet. There is also an additional WC and lavabo in the living area. Finally the apartment provides: Iron and ironing board, hair dryer, linens and WiFi internet connection for your laptop.

Perfect location

We stayed here for three months, and the apartment fully met our needs. While the furniture is a little dated, nonetheless we added our own touches to feel at home. Perfect location within easy access to two metro stations and the RER B line (via the very close Luxemburg Gardens) and within a comfortable walking distance to the wonderful Paris sights on the Seine via Saint Germaine de Pres. Easy to get into the Parisian way of life staying in this apartment with lots of Boulangeries, Fromageries, Restaurants and a wonderful market held three times a week right on your doorstop. The apartment is well equipped and other than not having a decent oven, it is easy to prepare meals in. The dishwasher, washing machine and dryer work very well and the apartment is easy to heat given the number of radiators. The apartment is bright, spacious, quiet and overlooks the gardens of other apartments. Pietro was amazing and very promptly responded to our small number of issues needing attention. Description is very accurate and would definitely return.

The property was very spacious and clean. Everything was worked and was as described in the listing. Greggori was very helpful and kind. The apartment really needs some TLC. New paint and furniture would make this property perfect!

Our 10 day stay was great, and the property was as described. Our contact with the owner was great, and Georges helped us with questions along the way. Excellent location! Do be aware of the steep staircase - not a place for young children or the elderly. One suggestion: It would have been helpful to have a written guide to garbage/recycling procedures, heating system, laundry operation, and perhaps a few local restaurant recommendations. One concern: My husband received shocks from the ring around the cooktop - perhaps a short to be repaired.

Very spacious and plenty of sleeping areas. I gave 4 stars only because it is very open space with virtually no privacy, the kitchen is not ideal for cooking, and we did struggle a bit with door codes changing in the middle of the trip, however, it is a perfect spot for a week in Paris with our teenagers! The host was nice and accommodating, the location and price made it all worth it!

Stayed here with a friend, we both worked remotely while staying here. WiFi worked well. Space is equipped with the basics but no toiletries or kitchen basics (had to buy butter and olive oil). Location is great, neighborhood is safe, apartment is quiet. No walls mean you can hear everything going on in the apartment. Big window bring lots of good light. Overall recommend!

We spent just over a week here and we really enjoyed our stay. We were a bit delayed coming in but there was a person waiting there for us to walk through the whole place to make sure everything was good and we understood how to operate everything. The style of the place was perfect as well as the location. We walked to many of the main places in Paris. The place has huge windows so even during the hot summer days, it cooled down at night and we opened all windows to cool things down. A pleasant surprise for us was a couple of mini cooling units which was extremely helpful for us!!! Thx!! The only feedback I would give is we had no guidance on trash removal and check out instructions. All we were told was to leave the key on the table and shut the door. We did so and of course texted Samuel that we checked out and enjoyed our stay. Overall, we thought it was a great place and made our stay in Paris even more enjoyable.

What You See Is What You Get
In my 23 times of staying in Paris for the past 30 years, I would normally stay in Le Marais because the neighborhood is more intimate and friendly. But this summer’s revenge travel had everyone booking units left and right in Paris. This duplex apartment that could accommodate our group of three people for one week was the only available unit within our budget and taste; however, it was in St. Germain des Pres, which is full of excessive commerce and Americans both expats and tourists (thanks to the Lost Generation’s almost-mythological influence that radiated from the epicenter of Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore). I had never booked with VRBO and was pleasantly surprised with the ease in terms of process and payment scheme. The duplex was well-represented both in text and images; thus, there were no surprises and disappointments. While Pietro owns the place and will send the first communication, it is Giorgio who is listed as a host and the usual contact thereafter. When we arrived with a two-hour delay due to the French airport personnel strike from June 30 to July 3, Giorgio patiently waited for us and even helped my sister carry her luggage to the second floor. Inside, the very pleasant Giorgio showed us the beautiful and spacious duplex, going through each detail—from the extra sheets, duvets, and pillows to the operation of the laundry machine. The place was spotless, all the amenities we could ever need were on hand, and the water pressure was good for the bathroom upstairs and the powder room downstairs. Other tenants also left bits and pieces such as Nespresso, olive oil, and tea which we appreciated. What we marveled at the most was the two-story window’s view that overlooked the neighbor’s veranda and what would appear to be a private forest-like garden. This generous source of light (until 10:00 p.m. in the summer) and fresh air, as well as the quietude of the inner building/courtyard, were the bonus. We are very grateful to Pietro and Giorgio for being able to stay at this artsy duplex!
The only suggestion I would like to make is that the check-out list be made available to the guests at least a day before checkout. I did not know there was one to begin with, and I was already at the airport flying back home when I received it via text. But because I am a considerate guest, I had done most, if not all of the things on the list, out of habit.

This apartment is spacious, comfortable, and in the perfect location in Paris (in my personal opinion). Unfortunately, we had a bit of an issue with the Wifi during our stay (it didn't work), but the property managers were very responsive and diligent in trying to rectify the situation.

Nice flat in the best location!
We stayed 4 weeks in the apartment. The location is perfect and the apartment is very quiet, in a back yard. Check in and check out went super well!
The apartment could definitely use a renovation really soon. The furniture and everything else was really worn out…
When we arrived we had to buy wine and water glasses because there was almost nothing there.
While our stay, the entire house where the apartment is situated, was empty, no one lived there because there was major construction work in some apartments and in the hallway.
This was really unpleasant, loud and dirty. We think you shouldn’t be renting out an apartment when you know the rest of the house is going to be renovated.
Anyway the stay was nice and we would definitely come back if the apartment gets a renovation.

This simple apartment had the basics we needed for our week-long stay. It’s also quiet and the neighborhood can’t be recommended highly enough - lots of cute shops, sidewalk cafes, great bakeries and other places to buy food. The windows look out over a very nice courtyard, which is unfortunately inaccessible. The staircase was manageable. We had great communication with both Giorgio and his property manager throughout. The amenities are limited, but it’s a great place to serve as your Paris home base for a few days.

Great apartment in highly desirable neighborhood!
We just spent a week in this lovely apartment. It is on a great street, close to grocery stores, a top bakery and some really great restaurants. We went jogging in Luxembourg gardens and shopping at a huge department store all without even having to get on the metro. The apartment is well situated on a lovely courtyard full of trees - so quiet! It is well equipped with plenty of linens, kitchen supplies and even books! Two metro stops are close by and the central location makes it easy to get about anywhere. We highly recommend this property - but may not be for those with mobility issues (up two flights and a spiral staircase to bedrooms). Perfect for us and our two teenage sons.

Perfect location and great experience
We were in Paris for 3 days and 3 nights, and this apartment was the perfect blend of value, convenience, comfort, and location for our family of 5 (two parents and our three adult children--21, 18, and 18) Giorgio was very helpful and accommodating and the property manager was also really responsive and helpful. Close to everything we needed in Paris. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice apartment in great location but with caveats.
This apartment is light and airy, with tall windows looking out to a peaceful, green courtyard. Great neighborhood too, close to all Left Bank attractions. However not at all suitable for small children, elderly folks or the handicapped. The little spiral staircase has no railings and there are gaps between the catwalks on the second floor and the walls one could fall through. And there's not much privacy with just curtains to close off the bedrooms. The property manager wasn't overly helpful. We asked him to help us get the t.v. to work but were never successful. The wifi went down for 24 hours and our repeated pleas for help went unanswered. His assistant finally fixed it but in the meantime we had to roam all over looking for an internet cafe. Suggestions would be: Cleaning supplies. The apartment had none, not even a broom and dustpan. It was hard to keep it clean. A book of instructions on how to work appliances, check out procedures, plus tips on the amenities in the area would be nice. My husband, who left the apartment last, was unaware of the check out time and left a few hours late so the manager charged us for an extra night. Fair enough, but a check out time reminder would have been helpful. We did enjoy our stay, but we won't be back.

Paris apt
The apartment was cute, had everything we needed and was in a great location. We had a hard time checking in because the address we were given is not the location of the apartment. Also, although the stairs are cute, they are difficult to use therefore we had to leave our luggage on the main for, and not bring it up to the bedrooms.

Perfect location in the 6th.
Modern unit with large windows providing wonderful light. Two very comfortable beds.
