One of best option in town. Top hotel and super staff. Try it!

The place is moder, superconfy and stylish. Room well furnished and even more having coffee machine and a kettle. Water for courtesy. The living room and common area are great too. The location is convenient, even not exactly in the Centrum, being Amsterdam really easy to visit on foot and well served by public transports it’s easy to go wherever you want from the hotel. A special mention for the staff: kind and extremely helpful. They satisfied all my needs.

Excelente estadia

O hotel está muito bem localizado, dá para fazer tudo andando sem dificuldades. Muito confortável. O café da manhã é muito bom, variado. Há uma senhora na recepção que não tem muita paciência com as pessoas que não entendem a língua estrangeira. A funcionária Carla fala português e é muito prestativa e simpática.

Algumas funcionárias não são muito simpáticas.

Zeer prettig hotel, neem wel goede oordoppen mee

Heel vriendelijk personeel, mooie inrichting van de kamers en schoon. Erg goede bedden.

De kamer waarin ik verbleef (425, de B zijde van de 4e verdieping) was wel erg gehorig mbt geluid vanaf de straat. Bij binnenkomst dacht ik dat er nog een raam openstond, maar de isolatie bleek echt miniem. Ik heb ook in andere hotels in deze wijk verbleven en omgevingsgeluid hou je in de stad natuurlijk, maar bij die hotels was het nergens dat er zoveel geluid doorkwam. Omdat er ook midden in de nacht regelmatig geclaxonneerd wordt ben ik veel wakker geworden. Mocht je het erop wagen, neem dan goede oordoppen mee.

I'll be back!

My staying at the ED hotel was overall wonderful, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The bed and the pillows were super comfy, I got so rested during the three nights I stayed there. I really appreciate the self check-in/out system, it's really fast and easy to use, especially if you're saving your info before the arrival. I also liked the fact that there was an AC so I was able to set the room temperature to my liking. There's a minibar that you can use for your things, and they also provide water, some chocolates, tea and coffee. Also, it's literally 2 minutes away from the main center street, and if you wanna take the bus from the airport, the 397 will leave really close to the hotel. I'm already planning my next trip to Amsterdam, and I'll definitely choose The ED again!

Although the room and the bathroom themselves were impeccable, I did notice a small spot on the carpet right at the entrance door (didn't think it was really a bother). The lighting in the room was very weak to be honest, but the bathroom lights were perfect to do my makeup. I think the windows didn't properly close, which is why the traffic was a bit loud, but I got used to it after all. I would suggest maybe a pair of slippers per guest, even available for a small fee. :)

Great place to stay in Amsterdam

Self-service check-in was incredible. We could do the check-in, grab the room number and pay using a machine and not a human being. And everything went so smoothly. The apartment decoration is really cool too.

The only thing that I could improve would be adding a place to keep soap bars inside the shower box. It's annoying to open it and close it while showering to grab shower utensils.

We were satisfied with the stay, and would return.

A good, clean, organized establishment. Central access to many areas of Amsterdam.

The cost of the room increased substantially from the original contract, because the extra fees were not included.

What we expected and even better, definitely recommend staying here

Stuff is really friendly and welcoming! Location is absolutely ideal - within walking distance from any city attraction, but located just outside the tourists fuss - the neighborhood is calm and not crowded, full of nice local cafes and restaraunts, so you can always dine out without a bother. The room itself was clean and regular size (not too tiny), which was just enough for two people to enjoy a good rest. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but just enough to get your day started with some pancakes, sandwiches, and a cup of coffee. Bar in the room was empty, but you can grab some basic drinks like beer or something strong at the lobby bar downstairs. We were really happy we changed our mind and didn't stay in the very centre of the city. This place was just the right thing for us. People working here are amazing and kind.

The only downside are the windows and specifically their soundproofing. You can hear the noise from the street as if the window is opened (had to check it was closed). Was all right for us as we stayed on the 4th floor, but I assume it gets worse as you stay lower to the ground.

Definitely could be better.

Location was great. Snack bar at the entrance was useful.

Toilet bowl was not clean when I checked-in. The room had ant problem - they were getting in and out through a crack at the corner of the window frame. During the check in, after queuing after other guests, the staff asked my name to check on their computer, and then directed me to the self check-in computer, they could directly guide me to the self check-in computer without making everyone wait.

Lovely location to stay in, quite expensive but Amsterdam in general is expensive to visit!

The room was nicely decorated, modern, and large with plenty of space to hang clothing, and lots of furniture to be able to put bags/suitcases down. The location was great, we found plenty to do nearby and everything was in walking distance. The hotel always smelt lovely when you entered reception, which was a nice touch.

Our shower tray was uneven so it leaked a huge amount of water when we showered, we adjusted the shower head to face the corner of the shower, which meant the huge shower was a bit redundant as we'd be crammed in the corner showering. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were awful, neither of us slept very well on them. The city tax caught us by surprise on arrival, 56 Euro for three nights was a bit of a hit when trying to have a cheap city break - perhaps our own fault for not being aware of this extra cost.

Location is walking distance from Dam square , in addition the hotel area itself is full of restaurants and shops staff is excellent super clean rooms very nice rooms with good bathroom

Superb

The room was very cool and stylish. The location was excellent, and people were very friendly.

The window didn't close properly, and since we faced the street, we slept very little the first night. Once we got earplugs, we slept fine and there were no more issues.

I’ve been to the ed before but I don’t think I’ll be returning :(

I’ve stayed at the ed before it’s in a great location and nice rooms and staff :)

the bed wasn’t very comfortable which I was disappointed by and the hallway smelt of cigarette smoke which wasn’t great.
