Conveniently located hôtel good for a short stay

Well located property, really good value for money as it is very walkable to everything. Bathroom was big and clean.

The bed/mattress need replacing. There was a huge dip which had the both of us sleeping on a lean: picture one side being 10cm higher than the other when laying on your back. It made our backs hurt. The room was heated up from the floor, so cooling it down was almost impossible via the window. We found our room open one day as the owners were trying to cool it down (lock away your valuables).

Very beautiful / sunshine, canals, soft new green on the trees so it was all very lovely .

Mary and Piers are the most welcoming generous hospitable helpful hosts they really are! Nothing seems too much trouble and it’s all very easy with them.

It was just great for us and what we were doing - Vermeer , Lord in the Roof ? a magical chapel hidden in the top of a house - and a concert. So no didn’t likes!

Fair price. Good location.

Room - Passable. Bedroom gets warm easily, even in January, so we slept with the window open. Location - great central location. Can walk/bus/tram in to centre. Breakfast - N/A as we did not purchase from the hotel due to our daily schedule.

Room - Bathroom wreaked of damp/mouldy water and permeated the bedroom when we opened the bathroom door. We could not find the source. This cleared after we ran taps, flushed, covered toilet seat with lid, and opened the bedroom window. Only needed to sleep there so not a proper issue. Beds were also hard.

Remember that you are visiting Amsterdam, not the hotel :)

This hotel is good for the location. If you stay here you can easily visit the whole center without taking any public transportation (if you are willing to walk enough). Also the room was very clean. Amazing price value.

If empty walls are amazing to put nails without needing a drill, they are terrible in a hotel, where they allow you to hear precisely everything that's happening on the whole floor. Also the bed was quite uncomfortable.

I wish i could say it was just like the expectations i had, but it wasn't. The realities of the room and the photos are veeeerrrrryyyyy different. It's more cramped up and little than it looks like. Also, the cleanin wasn't the best, the hallways had a strong smell of humidity. If you are deciding based on the foto, my advice is either look somewhere else or dont have any expectations at all.

clean, comfy and central

check in was easy, our room was even ready early! good central location with everything you could possibly need a stones throw away. room was clean & beds were comfy. great value for money and owners were lovely.

Cheap but not sure worth it

Location, easy check in, cheap, friendly owner

Cleanliness of room, alot of marks all over the walls and dusty under the beds. Room was really small and could hardly move around. At checkout had to wait around a little as I couldn't see any of the staff around.

The best thing is the position. It's in a very nice area, with a lot of bars and places to eat. It's also close to a tram station.

intimidated and shouted at by one of the staff after getting locked out the hotel due to the card system not working. let us feeling upset and deflated. bad end to a good trip

Passable

This hotel is a one star and it lived up to its rating. We had to book something at short notice because our flight was moved forward by two days at the last moment and we could not get into our airbnb booking two days early, nearly all other hotels in the area were full. The bed was very small for two people and even so took up most of the space in the room. The manager here was super friendly but even so this is a place to stay in an emergency for one or two nights and no more.
