Minutes from all attractions, yet it's the perfect place to get away from it all. The entire house is totally updated. The upper level is an open concept with vaulted and beamed ceilings. Here you will find the roomy master with TV, second bedroom and full bath with walk-in shower. Enjoy cooking in the beautiful kitchen with all new stainless appliances, cupboards, granite countertops, and everything you need to prepare that perfect meal. There's seating for six at dining table and four more seats at kitchen counter. Living room area is great for family games, reading a book or watching movies. These rooms oversee a full wall of glass doors leading to the large deck overlooking incredible views of the water, town of Saugatuck and the marina. Fantastic lower level with wet bar, full-size stainless refrigerator and oversized granite bar/dining that seats eight. Great place to eat, play games or just socialize. Open living area featuring another seating area with TV and additional sleeping (queen sleeper sofa). This level has a 3rd bedroom and second full bath with tub/shower. The walkout with full wall of glass doors offer more stunning views of the water and leads to fabulous patio with wrought iron patio set, built-in gas grill, dock and yard. Located right on Lake/River Kalamazoo with a private dock you can fish off or kayak down the river and it will lead you right onto Lake Michigan. Walk, ride or drive to 'the world famous Oval Beach' (less than 1/2 mile) or downtown Douglas and Saugatuck for shopping, restaurants, wine tasting, art galleries, bars and farmers market. Only steps away you can walk to Mt. Baldhead (climb the 300+ stairs), the Pumphouse Museum and The Saugatuck Chain Ferry. This lovely home has it all: Beautiful, quality features throughout, super clean, fantastic waterfront location, across the river from downtown Saugatuck. Skip looking for a parking space, just hop on the Saugatuck Chain Ferry, or call the Interurban bus, and you're there. Our property also offers free wifi for all of our guests. For insurance purposes there is one outdoor security camera located outside facing the driveway only.

We came to Saugatuck to celebrate my birthday with family. Even in early December it was so enjoyable being able to look at the water and relax. The location was perfect to hike up my baldy and then to oval beach. The owner made several recommendations for dinner which were also excellent and being the off season we were able to get seated. Overall we all agreed this was one of the nicest birthday celebrations we’ve had. We will definitely be back - next time in the summer to enjoy even more that saugatuck has to offer!

My husband and I have stayed in many VRBO properties over the years and this was truly the best experience we have ever had. The house is extremely well appointed with everything you might need, it is gorgeous, so comfortable and the views of the Kalamazoo river can’t be beat. Annette was wonderful in telling us everything we needed to know and being available. Everything was perfect, so we didn’t have any questions or issues, but she was readily available. We will definitely be back!

The views of Kalamazoo Lake over Saugatuck get no better! Beautiful home and furnishings! I was in contact with Annette the host a few times and she responded quickly and efficiently. My family loved and enjoyed both levels of the home and it gave everyone the privacy and space that they needed for eight people to get ready and have fun together over the weekend festivities. The welcoming gift and note was a very nice touch!

We stayed here on our wedding weekend and it was perfect. Even the weather cooperated - upper 70s & sunny in late September. Even though Annette, our host, was not on site, she stayed in close contact during our arrival to ensure that everything went smoothly. Additionally, she was very accommodating to our needs and very quick to respond to questions.
The cottage was exactly as presented in the pictures - open spaces, plenty of light, and amazing views of Kalamazoo Lake and the town of Saugatuck. We spent an over an hour in the morning just sitting on the balcony watching the boats flow by.
I have only a couple of minor nip-picks. There was no shower soap/body wash in the bathrooms. It wasn't a big deal for us because most in our group had brought their own and I simply picked up a bar of soap from the store for myself. We didn't even bother the host about it. There was also a lack of kleenex - we found just one box in the downstairs bedroom.
The other complaint is that I don't like doing laundry or taking out trash when I'm on vacation - part of the checkout process is starting one load of towels and taking the trash out to the bins. I understand that this is common for private rentals like this, but it's just something I'd rather not have to do. However, we really didn't mind in this case because Annette allowed us to check out late even though new guests were coming the same day. In this instance, late checkout was a bigger priority than avoiding a couple of chores.

This home was perfect for our girls trip getaway. The location was perfect, right on the water & so close to Oval Beach. The house was clean & there was more than enough space. Would stay here again!

The house was clean, beautiful and very user-friendly. We loved it. The view was fantastic. Very nice area with lots of walking trails and the beach. Very close. The road is quite narrow and busy. You have to be careful. We did a lot of touring and swimming and enjoyed it a lot. So much to do around there. The music that played at Coral Gables sure made the atmosphere fun.
we did pull out the sleeper sofa but the mattress needs to be replaced. The beds are all very comfortable. The the nighttime is quiet and peaceful. We greatly enjoyed our stay. !

We loved sitting on the deck and watching all the activiy on the lake. Beautiful view of the fireworks on the 4th lf you have toddlers, bring a baby gate or two.

Great location! Love the upper and lower decks to sit and enjoy morning coffee, meals and happy hour while wating the activity on the river and in town. The property is clean, well maintained with comfortable beds, sitting areas and a well stocked kitchen plus a wetbar in lower level. We loved it! We could launch our SUP right from the dock. Walk to the Chain ferry, Mt Baldhead and oval beach.

My group of girlfriends and I enjoyed Annette’s place for a long weekend. The accommodations were so comfortable and clean, and the view from the patio over the water was amazing. The kitchen is so well stocked and we were able to play games all weekend at the kitchen table. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, so we were able to walk out our door and take long walks and hikes. The ferry was not open yet for the season, so we did have to drive into town, but it was a quick ride. Annette was very communicative and great to work with, and we cannot wait to come back and stay at this gem of a place again, soon! Highly recommend this place for a fun stay in Saugatuck/Douglas!

Great location to relax and look out at the water. Very cold but we bundled up. Hiked up the 300 something stairs and also through the woods to a fabulous view of Lake Michigan. Would love to return in warmer weather. Lots of shops and places to eat!

This is a beautifully decorated and very clean home with all amenities provided. The view across the Kalamazoo River is one of the best. There are many activities in this area that the whole family can enjoy from boating, swimming, hiking, shopping and dining with many restaurants and wineries in the area too.

We cannot say enough about our stay in Saugatuck. Annette was a dream to work with and the location of the home is perfect. Great access to boat rentals, the chain ferry, restaurants, Oval Beach, and the view of the river and marina are breathtaking. The home had everything we needed and we really appreciated that both floors were fully equipped. It worked perfectly for our family; our children and grandchildren stayed on the upper floor and my husband and I used the lower floor. We will definitely return.

First off when we arrived I was greeted with a thoughtful note & wine - YES, I'm already in love! The home is located right on the water & the views are breathtaking & located in the perfect spot. About a 5min walk leaves you at the famous Oval beachfront and if you're feeling daring climb Mount Baldhead. The town was super cute and lots of restaurants & cute shops. Lets get into the fun stuff - the home...I'm a stickler for cleanliness. The homes cleanliness was not only immaculate & tidy but super cozy, & perfect for my family. Did I mention, this property is newly renovated?! The home had plenty of board games / books / card games for both kids & adults. We went during Thanksgiving and the home was stacked with cooking utensils / dish & cookware / baking sheets, glassware (for you wine drinkers, YES you will not be disappointed), coffee maker, blender, etc. You name it, this kitchen had it and perfect for thanksgiving dinner. The bigger appliances were brand new so that was an extra bonus and there were 2 new stainless steal refrigerators (one on each floor). The home linen was nice & plenty and the beds were comfy. The owner was just a dream. She was super attentive/responsive and easy to get a hold of when we had questions and just a delight to work with. She provided great recommendations around town & created a binder with lots of good recommendations left out for guest to check out. The thoughtfulness behind the owners intention to ensure your stay is stellar is nothing short of amazing. You can tell they take great pride in their home but also want to ensure you feel right at home & safe. Sometimes it's nice to get away and not have to worry about a thing, and just unwind and relax. We highly recommended this home. We definitely LOVED this property and will be returning again! it was relaxing cozy and beautiful. If this place had a subscription, sign me up!

Old friends getaway
Annette was a great host. Her tequila sunrise cottage was perfect for our getaway. Loved watching the ducks,, geese and boats from the balcony. Her attention to detail.....the binder she's put together includes everything you need to know about Saugatuck and surrounding areas.

House had everything you need for rental. Very nicely furnished and clean. Location, location, location! Easy cross to downtown on chain ferry right down the street. Watching all the boats from patio was great. Listening to live music from across water was added bonus. Short distance to beach and other activities. We all enjoyed our long weekend very much. Owner very easy to work with and lots of info to share.
