Located in Hilton Head Island, this lovely condo for $476 per night is a great choice for your next break. Our Ocean retreat is located in the gated community, The Moorings, within Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. It is Unit 19. The 2-Bedroom, 3 full-bath unit has been beautifully renovated and is personally maintained by our staff located on the Island. The unit is 1260 square feet and provides ample space for families or multiple couples. The living room has a 65" Smart LCD Flat Screen TV with a Bose surround sound Stereo/DVD system. The room is perfect for watching the big game, your favorite movie, or enjoying cocktail hour with music. The family room also includes a queen sized sleeper sofa. The Master Suite has a king-sized bed, full bath, and a 36' Flat Screen TV. The second bedroom has 2 queen sized beds, a full bath, and a 42' Flat Screen TV. The living room and bedrooms all provide access to two wooden decks for taking in the natural beauty of the area. A third full bathroom (with shower) is located off the hallway. The kitchen is fully-equipped and includes a stainless steel stove and microwave. The unit also has its own new washer and dryer. Next to the unit is the Moorings' Private Pool. The beach is just a short chip shot from the front-door. The proximity of the beach enables many back-n-forth trips and means that you do not have to drive and unload your car (or look for parking). Located at the beach entrance is the Dunes House, which provides clean restrooms, as well as a seasonally-operated Bar and Grill (we recommend the fish tacos, shrimp and cold beer). Also just a short walk from the front door is the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center, the Robert Trent Jones golf course, The General Store (groceries, take-out, beach supplies and more), Alexander's Restaurant, and bike, kayak/canoe rentals. The unit is next door to the Marriott Beach Resort and Spa, which offers 2 restaurants, bars, children's camps, spa services, and even Starbucks Coffee. We are a pet friendly condo. We love dogs since they love the beach as much as we do! Palmetto Dunes is famous for its 3 world class golf courses, including George Fazio, Arthur Hills, and Robert Trent Jones, and also boasts miles of beautifully landscaped bike/walking trails (and even a tunnel under Rte. 278 to Shelter Cove Marina, a waterside collection of restaurants, shops, entertainment and boat/fishing charter rentals). This condo checked all of the boxes for a last-minute (we booked 3 days before) Christmas getaway! Comfortable and roomy for us, our pup, and our two teen boys; and short walking distance to the ocean where we walked a couple of times a day on the dog-friendly beach. The description and photos are accurate of the condo. Yes, it could use some updating, but I did not mind the older bathrooms and counters for the price we paid. During warmer weather, I would have loved to take advantage of the adjacency to the pool as well, but unheated in the winter and left me wishing for a hot tub in the complex instead! The owner was responsive to our questions. I just feel bad that it was obvious that others had disrespected the owner/property in the past based what we saw that was damaged -like the wooden blinds and the poor coaster set in the living room -- or no longer offered -- like the beach chairs or bikes. The only thing I couldn't find in the kitchen to meet our needs was cookie sheets, but all else was fine and checkout a breeze! The pup loved the deer and squirrels that we saw daily near the condo as well and walking distance to the general store, beach rental place, and pickleball/tennis courts.

This was a perfect holiday, Hilton Head is a wonderful location and our condo was literally 4 minutes walk from the beach. I have never experienced sea water this warm, it is absolutely gorgeous. We also had the bonus of a pool literally yards from the condo which again was so warm. I must stress how well appointed the condo was, very nice furnishings and hugely comfortable beds. I have to mention how nice other guests in the condos were, such a friendly group from all over the US.I cannot recommend Hilton Head and particularly our condo highly enough.

I would say this is one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed at on vacation. The place has been updated since the listing photos were taken. There is some extra seating in the living room and the furniture is very comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable and exceeded my expectations. Water pressure in the showers was also excellent. The 3rd bathroom is also a huge plus! Mike is an excellent host and responded immediately to any questions I had and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. If you are the type of person that wheels a lot of stuff to the beach, I would recommend leaving the beach stuff in your vehicle and getting a parking spot right by the ramp in the morning and loading and unloading there as the pavement from the condo to the beach is a little rough. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking in the area. Appliances- 10/10 Furniture 10/10 Kitchen 10/10 Showers and Bathrooms 10/10 Host 10/10

We had a great stay. Appliances have been updated. Had everything we needed ad expect out of a beach rental. The pool is right outside. Kids loved it. Plenty of other dogs around and you can’t beat being a two minute walk to the sand. Owner is super responsive. Thanks Michael!

Wonderful stay ! The pictures do not do the place justice. The proximity of the property to the beach can't be beat. (Only 300 steps from door to sand) We were so grateful that Michael allows pets as we were able to take our senior dog "Annie" with us. We highly recommend this property. Plan on returning.

Just an fyi I have never given a negative review but I can’t help this! This unit at the Moorings in Palmetto Dunes needs a total facelift! It still looks like when it was built in 1977! Absolutely disgusting finishes ! Bathrooms are terrible down to even an old dingy shower curtain! Floor Tile is cracked and countertops are dinged up ! Toilets are as old as the hills and don’t flush very well ! Kitchen is original everything and cooktop takes forever to get up to temp Sliding doors and screens don’t work properly etc etc! That’s all I have time to write as I could go on

Great location. Condo is well set up, everything worked. Kitchen was well equipped. Great TV in living room. Mike, the owner was responsive and easy to work with. Beds were comfortable. It was a bit of a tired unit in that the woodwork needed sanding and painting, and bathrooms could use some renovating We had a great time, so happy to be able to bring a dog. Thanks Mike

The location was excellent. We didn’t realize how many steps existed—an issue for a daughter with cerebral palsy. The owner was prompt in fixing a plumbing issue; and he said he would speak to the cleaning team about their performance.

My friends and I rented this condo in October, there were 5 of us. We had plenty of beds and having 3 bathrooms was a big plus!! This area of these condos is very clean and quiet...no loud noise going on. We had everything we needed to cook with, a coffee pot, washer and dryer . There are 2 decks that you can go out and sit .The inside was very clean with plenty of room.The beach is a very short walking distance from the condo. Mike has the description listed of this exactly the way it is and he was available to call anytime if you needed anything. I would definitely rent this again!

We loved the short Walk to the beach. Michael had beautiful brand new living room furniture & beautiful new beach themed bed spreads in the bedroom with two beds. The balconies and furniture need some TLC & the carpet was a bit stained. I accidentally left my diamond necklace in the master bathroom so I'm waiting to hear back if the cleaning crew found it.

The reviews and descriptions weren’t even close to what we stayed in. I wouldn’t consider this a Premier Host VRBO. Doors were badly damaged. Even the outside door would have been easy for someone to break into the condo. I bet that it’s dog friendly but the cloth couch could use some cleaning. The leather furniture was very dated.

This property is fantastic. The layout is family friendly and allows for privacy… with 6 people. The 3rd full bathroom is such a great deal. Big TVs, new carpet, new appliances, the location is amazing (maybe 200 yards to the beach) and the weather was perfect, 60s and 70s last week of December. The condo is pet friendly, but we never had known because the place is spotless. The owner is quick to respond to any questions. Great place to stay.
