Located in Anacortes, this attractive cottage for $241 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Spectacular sea views of Alan, Burrows and Lopes Islands along with the Olympic Mountains are here for you to enjoy in our Cottage By the Sea. Small grassy lawn and patio provide lovely place to hang out while enjoying garden views as well as sweeping 180+ degree unobstructed ocean views. Whales can occasionally be seen from the yard. 10 minutes to Anacortes Ferry Dock 5 minutes to Beautiful Rosario Beach 7 minutes to Deception Pass. 3-5 minutes to Lakes Erie and Campbell 20 minutes to La Conner Tulip Festival You will have complete run of this cottage which sits adjacent to the larger home which we live in. There is a grassy lawn and patio between the cottage and cliff side fence for shared enjoyment by your hosts and other guests which may also be staying on the property. Inside you will find a nice comfy sofa, TV with ROKU, Netflix, etc., kitchen stocked with plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, etc, refrigerator, private bath, private bedroom with queen size bed and nightstands. All furnishings and supplies are of good quality. Look up the Mattress you will be sleeping on: Amazon - Zinus Memory Foam 12 Inch Green Tea Mattress, comfortable! Living room sofa contains a COMFORTABLE pull out queen bed. We have modified the pull out sofa to give it the needed support and comfort you would expect from a standard bed. CLEANING FEE - For most parties, the cleaning fee we are asking for is reasonable and covers the actual cost of cleaning...and we get the HIGHEST MARKS for great cleaning from our guests. However, we've had a few parties that left the place trashed...5 hours of cleaning! We tried raising the cleaning fees, and then giving partial refunds to most people...it was a pain to manage and reduced our bookings. So we ask you to clean up well so we can keep the fee reasonable...AND EXPECT US TO ASK FOR MORE MONEY TO COVER CLEANING IF YOUR PARTY COSTS US MORE THAN 3 HOURS OF CLEANING. Last Minute Bookings, No Worries, we are staying on top of it and will respond quickly to your request. ROAD NOISE: We do have some road noise. MOST guests barely notice it. SOME guests do have issues with it. If you are highly sensitive to noise or can't stop focusing on it, then this is not the place for you. We live here and rarely notice it. It is the worst when standing outside in the drive way and trying to have a conversation, at times the sound of cars driving by does interfere with hearing other people talk. But inside of the units, out back enjoying the amazing views, which is where most people spend most of their time, most people don't even notice it. It is barely audible.

House is neat and antiquated, cozy but the bathroom needs to be updated especially the fixtures and the shower faucet was in reverse! Was waiting for the water to get hot all the while it was pointed at the wrong direction!! Hot is spitting cold and vice versa.The shower very small and narrow, it can only accommodate a tiny person who is u fee 5 feet or else your head is going to hit the ceiling!! Kitchen wasn’t stocked with seasonings, only coffee and tea!! Fridge doesn’t even have water!! It was empty except for coffee creamers.The host was always busy each time you want to get in touch with them.. either she was out or driving around! When y left a message, she would respond like 4-5 hrs later!

My best friend and our two small dogs wanted to get away for a couple days and we were looking at the San Juan Islands, but when the Cottage by the Sea cottage came up in my search it was perfect! Not only was it closer (to Seattle) but the price was great, and the view was just as fabulous as the islands… just on the other side. Our stay in the cottage was idyllic and the hosts were so helpful and personable, truly just like family we’d somehow known prior to meeting them for the first time. Shyni and her daughter think of every detail to make visitor stays as homey and comfortable as possible. Everything was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The yard area is shared by all rental units, which is fun but if you prefer privacy the hosts will graciously respect that as well. The only negative is that our time there was too short, but we will be back for a longer time next time!

Lovely cottage overlooking Burrows Bay. Small perfect stay for two. Comfortably simplistic. Owner provided helpful information about the area upon booking. She was also on sight to meet & greet upon arrival. Meeting their two dogs was an added bonus.

We loved our anniversary trip to this location. Our January anniversary means we like to either go exotic or find something local that's cozy to celebrate the occasion and this place really delivered the cozy. A lovely gas fire place, intimate size and the view of the water all helped with that. But for me it was the little things that made it feel like a home: eco-friendly cleaning products, no strong smells from them either, comfortable furniture that looked like it's meant to be used not just looked at. Our host was available and helpful, even at 8:30pm on a Sunday!

A lot of noise from busy road. Bathroom was very small and the shower was tiny (also faucet handle was hard to use). There was a matt in the shower over the drain that was weird to stand on. View was amazing.

The space was very clean, nicely decorated and well supplied. There were plenty of fresh linens and towels. Of course the view was gorgeous and the outdoor space was perfect for enjoying the nightly sunsets. Owners are extremely pleasant and checked in to be sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Loved staying in the Cottage as it was just what we needed. Very easy drive up to Anacortes and to Deception Pass. Beautiful sunset views overlooking Burrows Bay. The main road needs some speed limit enforcement but otherwise perfect location. Very friendly hosts.

The cottage by the sea was just as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked. Upon arrival the owner showed us around so we felt like we were at home as soon as we arrived. The view of the bay was incredible as were the sunsets. The location is also great as the town is just a short ride away with numerous restaurants.

The owner was there to show us the cottage. Great communication with us before we arrived. Kitchen well supplied. Everything worked. TV was a challenge but finally able to get some news. Wish it had been warmer to enjoy the outdoor space overlooking the water. Designated parking spots available. Near Rosario beach which is beautiful. Near Safeway and another Market. Cottage did show some wear but did not detract from our one night. Very close to the Washington state Ferry terminal.

The cottage had everything we needed for our too short stay. It's a short drive to "downtown" Anacortes and all the marinas. If you have time take the drive up Mount Erie for a fabulous view of the islands. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Beautiful location overlooking the islands. Cottage is perfect for a couple. Lovely bedroom, stocked kitchen, comfortable living area and dining area. There is a nice front yard area and across the street is the family's produce and egg store. The peace is amazing. The tide and listening for the whales is magical. Everything is close too. I will come back, no doubt.
