Standard Mercure had all that is advertised

Disappointed that the oven in kitchen was in desperate need of cleaning ,the dish washer had not been emptied from previous stay and microwave not cleaned from previous stay bread crumbs sitting on plate ,

the view and the modernness of the facilities.

there's no floor drain. other than that. its all good

We loved everything about our stay at Mantra Lake Tekapo. Our 3-bedroom apartment was super spacious, nicely decorated with modern furniture. A full-sized kitchen with everything you would need to put together a home cooked meal. We stayed in winter, so it was very cold out but the heating inside worked well and kept us all warm. The location was perfect as it was just a short walk to many restaurants and the supermarket. Also nearby is the stunning lake and church.

I couldn't find a fault at all, we didn't use the pool due to it being winter, but it looked like a fun place to hang out in warmer weather.

The location of the property is excellent — just a few minutes’ walk to the Church by the lake, and not far from supermarkets and other amenities, which made it very convenient.

However, there were a few downsides. Check-in details were not proactively provided, and on a rainy night I had to call to ask for the lock code. The garage door was faulty — although someone came quickly after I reported it, it couldn’t be fixed, so we had to open it manually, which was inconvenient in the rain. The garage is also quite small; if you drive a 7-seater, you won’t be able to open the trunk once parked, so something to keep in mind. The kitchen was not fully equipped, so I would recommend checking in first and then going to the supermarket to get what you need. In addition, the smoke detector batteries had not been replaced in time — it went off three times during the night, and I had to go downstairs each time to stop it before eventually removing it myself.
