Chambre confortable, propre.
Chambre très très petite. Extrêmement bruyant, de la musique de 6h30 à 23h qui résonne dans la chambre.

The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was of a good size clean and modern. Good shower.
We had a window table with a fantastic view each morning and a reasonable breakfast.
Staff very good .
The bedroom was very small and lacked any chairs to sit on although had one small stool. The decor, although in the modern style made the room dark and rather depressing. The view from the window was the most disappointing, overlooked the main street and a dingy takeaway across the road. It was not noisy for all that though.

Large room with great view. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff.
No handrail in stairs to 3rd floor, dangerous. Very small shower.

Lovely hotel, beautifully located on the shore. Friendly and helpful staff, good food,.good breakfast, wonderful views from the dining room over Lochindaal, great selection of whiskies at the bar, comfy beds and room.
It's quite expensive, but not compared to other places on Islay tbh.

Beautiful room with stunning views. Overall the food was very good except for the scallops which were over cooked but, this was dealt with by the excellent manager.
A shame that the problem with parking wasn't pointed out by booking.com. It's a bit of a free for all.

Great location with nice view of the bay. The staff was nice, friendly and made minor meal adjustments without concern.
There is major roadwork outside and the parking is difficult.

The hotel is on the main road through Bowmore so easy to identify and reach. The staff when not busy were very friendly.
First of all we were travelling by bicycle and had to leave our bikes in the alleyway along the hotel itself which was not ideal, they were exposed to theft and the weather but also a great deal of glass that had been smashed down there. I would suggest they look at how they can accommodate bikes in the future. I was disappointed with our room which was I imagine a small double - it was extremely small and quite claustrophobic- literally able to walk around the bed with nothing else in the room, the bathroom door was unable to open properly due to the lack of space and if someone was on the other side of the room you had to wait to pass if the door was open. The tea and coffee facilities were also not considered for guest - all the tea/coffee/sugar and milk pods were thrown together in a tin and were all over the place. Sometimes it’s little touches that can make a real welcome and difference to a stay. The internet connection was initially poor but improved so that may well have been weather based. My first morning I was woken up at 6.30 by music and I’m guessing our room was over one of the speakers in the restaurant albeit breakfast was not being served until 7.30am. After I had been cycling all day waking at this time was not ideal. The following morning did improve and the music was quieter and started at 7.30. The restaurant was really busy both evenings and what staff they had were polite but very busy.

Great location looking out over the bay and right in the town centre. Cooked and continental breakfast were of a high standard , and dinner was very good.
The short staffing evident everywhere was quite noticeable here , with service being a little slow at times. That said the staff were very curteous and run off their feet

Room was large, conformable and nicely furnished with comfortable bed. View to street. Breakfast involved a trip around the corner to main hotel. Staff and food were great. View from dining room was lovely too.
The room felt cold on arrival, so not so welcoming. Just a liitle low heat would have been nice. TV channels were not tuned in. More concerning was the shower; although clean, modern, spacious and stylish, there was nowhere to put toiletries other than the floor. The shower tray was very smooth and slippery and there were no grab rails, even though the toilet and sink areas had grab rails all round them. The bathroom was just generally poorly designed with a tiny sink and a mirror placed not above the sink but above the toilet to presumably make way for the numerous and slightly surplus to requirements grab rails. Very odd room design and the shower is just dangerous for anyone with reduced mobility

Dinner service and meals were cold.

Food was hot and tasty
The service was poor. Insufficient staff meant long waits for food and bar staff couldn't manage two sides of bar so long waits for attention. Gave up one night after a 10 minute wait and went elsewhere.

Excellent staff and great whiskey selection at the bar.

Welcoming staff and excellent top floor room with fine views. Bar and restaurant, including outdoor sitting area overlooking the sea were excellent. Pleasant public bar and lots of effort put into the decor, using wood from old whisky barrels, and yet didn't look contrived. Food at dinner and breakfast excellent.
A slightly better spot to park out bicycles, rather than down a close behind the beer kegs, but it was actually ok and no real complaints at all.
