Very poor

Friendly Staff but forgetful.

Location was bad, not much around or near by. Breakfast was very poor, only fruit or snacks not a complementary Breakfast as other hotels. Staff were nice, but had to remind them of items I had requested twice, such extra pillows or not enough towels for the pool, and they were not busy when I approached them. Bar by the pool did not fill your drink up! Room were dirty, many ants all around the room and bathrooms. And last, shuttle were not available, they stated they don't have the license to run them.

Patience required: they are transitioning to the Marriott system

The agents at check in were nice. The rooms are spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped.

1. The continental breakfast was underwhelming. If you want an omelet, you have to pay extra. 2. At check-in, I got charge again for a room I had already paid. It took my checking my bank account the next day to realize it. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I blame it on an honest human error. But a hot-tempered guest may be less gentle. When I pointed out the problem, they refunded me without arguing, which was nice. 3. You need a car or uber to get to the city center

the whole stay was great. the breakfast was awesome- much better than you usually get. clean rooms, modern appliances, the kitchenettes were great. beautiful pool and nice bar outside.

not their fault, but their location is a teeny bit far from the beach downtown- 20 min walk or quick uber, so not a huge deal at all. definately worth the price.

Though the location is not really walking-distance from the city center, it's not really far. The kitchenette and the couch were a big plus. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast is included and there is a pool bar.

Out of all of the kitchen amenities provided, only napkins were lacking. The pool didn't seem to be heated.

Our stay was pleasant.

We initially booked the Studio at Marina and was told on our arrival day that it could not accommodate us for unknown reason. We were offered this hotel (City Suites) by booking.com instead. The hotel parking is free. It took only a few minutes to drive to Puerto Paraiso mall parking ramp at the marina. The breakfast is also free. A lot of selections were offered including fresh fruits, yogurt, cheese, ham, bakery, juice, coffee, etc.. The room has two full beds and a sofa bed. The beds are comfortable and the window blinds are really dark at night. The kitchen has stove, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils and silverware. We used the stove to cook eggs, vegetables and noodles, which was very handy.

There was no fan in the bathroom. And there were tiny ants in the kitchen and bathroom.

Clean, quiet hotel with nice suites overall.

Just a bit expensive, but overall OK. Rooms very clean. Facade on coffee table and TV stand appeared to be pealing off; noting terrible but took away from the quantity feeling of the room. Shower water could have been just a bit warmer too, though bathrooms very clean.

Breakfast - positive was fresh fruit every day, but no variation. Serve too many people in too small of a space. Too much standing and waiting to gain access to food selections. Sometimes slow in restocking food items as they were consumed by guests. Additional items could be customer ordered (eggs, bacon, etc.) at an additional price.

Staff super friendly and helpful. Got us a place to do our laundry . Items were returned promptly smelling clean and folded. For a small fee. Place was clean and restful. Will stay again Try the restaurant next to hotel.

The best I could find besides staying on a resort!

Very nice hotel, not crowded, clean, has everything - a pool, gym, wi-fi and awesome breakfast! There is an amazing bar-restaurant next to the hotel, on a road. The staff was friendly too. Very much recommended!

Television was a little off, couldn't find any programs in English and it was definitely not high definition. I wish they have coffee machine in the lobby.

didn’t like it.

my room wasn’t pool view as i was ordered and paid for. it was facing the highway. there’s some loud motorcycles on the road at night. hair that wasn’t my girlfriends was in the towel and randomly on the floor. the elevator doesn’t work, you go in and just stand there with the door closed until you figure out it’s not moving. the stuff explained that all the pool view rooms are occupied and that’s it. you pay a full price no refund, nothing can be done. Netflix doesn’t work on tv.

Great Suite, exactly as the photos. Very comfortable. Great hotel for business & work stays. Fully recommend this hotel.

The phone never answered at the front desk tom confirm payments. As this is a corporate stay our Company pays for the stay and when calling to confirm nobody at front desk pick up the phone even business hours 9 am to 5 pm. We had to dial up to 5 times for somebody at front desk to get the call.

Worst “hotel” I’ve ever been

Staff was very rude, I had to wait almost two hours to check in, they tried to give me a smaller room for double the price we had agreed on booking.com, breakfast was a joke. I was supposed to stay here for a week but I cancel after a night. worst hotel ever!

The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. There is a swimming pool, and free parking. There is also a lobby where one can work with the computer, or just chill in the evening. Wi-fi speed was fine.

The queen size bed was not suitable for 2 people, so this was not comfortable part. We didn't like the breakfast, it was very scarce, we had to eat somewhere else, or just skip it. The breakfast is not suitable for people with food intolerances (gluten, dairy, sugar). The hotel is located a it far from a city center, where all the fun is, so the only way to reach there is by car. Also the beach was quite far (not walkable road from the hotel to the beach)

The breakfast was much better last year. Two months ago the standard was much reduced in range and quality. On our last visit the breakfast was reduced even further in range again. We will not bother with the complimentary breakfast until the standard is greatly improved.

Avoid at all costs.

The location like all City Express hotels, a bit outside of the city but good for getting in and out of town quickly

Nothing in the hotel worked. 1) We entered the room and it was like a sauna. They had to send the maintenance who struggled to get it to turn off 2) We couldn't connect to the internet as they didn't set up the account correctly. Had to sort it out at the reception 3) We decided to go to the pool as it looked amazing. When we came close I realized that it was by far the dirtiest pool I have seen in my life. When talking to the receptionist, she didn't seem surprised and told me the staff is doing their job. I truly believe that if a sanitary inspection came, especially during the time of COVID, they would be shut down and never allowed to operate again on the grounds of improper hygiene. 4) After everything, we decided to go out of the hotel a little. When we came back the elevator was out of order and wasn't accepting the room cards 5) In the room something was beeping. We realized it's the safe deposit box. Again, maintenance had to come to fix things. All in all, we took it as it was the only available hotel with a sofa bed at the time, but regretted it very much and don't intend to book a City Express again.
