Das Personal war freundlich. Und der Strand und das Meer trotz Ebbe und Flut echt schön.
Die Zimmer sind sehr dreckig und in unserem ersten Zimmer hat es auch sehr übel gestunken und war laut. Außerdem hatten wir als Paar zuerst zwei einzelne Betten bekommen, und es war nicht möglich, diese zusammenzuschieben! Nach 3 Nächten konnten wir das Zimmer dann wechseln und haben immerhin ein Doppelbett bekommen, und auch der Gestank war deutlich besser. Wirklich sauberer war es jedoch nicht. Wir haben unsere Handtücher, wie vom Hotel beschrieben, zum Wechseln auf den Boden gelegt. Dabei wurden die alten, nassen Handtücher von der Reinigungskraft einfach wieder aufgehängt. Trotz Beschwerde war das 3 Tage in Folge der Fall. So mussten wir uns immer selbst um neue Handtücher kümmern. Im Gegensatz zu den ansprechenden Bildern des Hotels ist die Anlage zum Teil heruntergekommen und dreckig. Auch der „Kinderspielplatz“ mit zerissenem Trampolin und Kokosnüssen an den Palmen direkt über den Liegen entpuppten sich als Sicherheitsrisiko! Außerdem war das Frühstücksbuffet alles andere als ein Buffet. Es besteht eigentlich nur aus Milch, Früchten und Müsli! Man kann noch ein Gericht von der Karte wählen. Das Essen hat uns leider absolut gar nicht geschmeckt und war extrem eintönig! Noch gut zu wissen ist, dass das Hotel sehr abseits liegt. In dem beschriebenen Fischerdörfchen gibt es NICHTS! Taxipreise sind zudem sehr teuer, dies erschwert Ausflüge in andere Regionen.

Nous avons pris un plat associant cigale de mer, gambas, poulpe, etc mais la qualité était médiocre. Le poisson, poulpe et crevettes sentaient très mauvais….

The food was a bit monotonous very average but my opinion could have been slanted by the fact I had a dodgy tummy. It may have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room but in fairness the staff did organize a flask of boiling water for us in the morning

Très bon accueil à la réception. Restaurant donnant directement sur la plage avec une vue superbe.
Bungalow (vue mer...de loin) trop basic pour le prix : aucune décoration, nécessite une rénovation. Restaurant complet le soir avec seulement 2 serveurs, résultat 1h30 d'attente pour un plat... Petit déjeuner succinct, il ne vaut pas mieux avoir trop faim (pastèque)

Hervorragende, ruhige Lage direkt am Strand mit Sonnenuntergang, Baden bei Ebbe und Flut möglich, ausreichend Liegen mit dicker Auflage am sauberen swimming-pool, schöner parkähnlicher Garten mit tropischem Vogelzwitschern und herrlichem Meerblick auf die vielen Fischer- und Ausflugsboote nebenan im kleinen Hafen, bequeme Betten, leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal, kaum lästige Strandverkäufer, äußerst entspannend und erholsam.
Zimmer und Badezimmer recht eng, die Sitzecke vor dem Bungalow klein, die Sessel ohne Auflage darauf unbequem, die Cocktails uninspiriert und nicht wirklich value for money.

Very hospitable, helpful and friendly staff, tasty and plentiful breakfasts and a diverse range of food for lunches and dinners with a local touch, which is very welcome for getting to know the characteristics of the island.
A good location next to a white sandy beach and a fishing village a few 100 meters away, which gives this resort a very special meaning. I was enchanted by the tastefully maintained tropical garden that connects the bungalows to each other, especially the original positioned and equipped bathrooms. Excellent, I recommend it for families, travelers or couples.

Die Anlage ist wunderschön, geschmackvoll und modern gemacht. Es gibt so viele liebevolle Details, jeder Influencer wäre im siebten Himmel.
Die Housekeeper kamen zwei mal täglich. Am Vormittag zum reinigen und am Abend mit einem Spray zur Vorbeugung gegen Insekten.
Der Pool ist wunderschön sofern die Pumpe funktionier.
Es gibt viele verschiedene schöne Liegemöglichkeiten. Die Wege zum Pool und Restaurant sind sehr kurz. Es gab einen kleinen Kühlschrank und einen Safe, sowie Handtücher für den Pool/Strand
Meiner Meinung nach der schönste Sand der ganzen Insel. Er ist weiß und weich wie Mehl.
Die Information es wäre ein Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht richtig. Man kann sich vom sogenannten buffet nur Obst, Müsli und Getränke nehmen. Mehr gibt es nicht. Ansonsten gibt es eine Karte mit süßen und herzhaften Speisen. Man darf sich jedoch nur eine aussuchen. Sollte man noch Hunger haben , kann man die gleiche Speise zweimal bestellen aber keine andere. Sehr seltsam. Es wäre schön wenn man sowohl süß als auch herzhaft wählen könnte.
Der Pool ist zwar wunderschön mit infonity Aussicht, war jedoch gehen Nachmittag ziemlich eklig. Die Pumpe funktionierte wohl nicht somit waren hunderte tote Insekten und ein fettfilm im Wasser.
Man gelangt zum Strand nur über eine steile etwas gefährliche Steintreppe. Absolut nichts für Kinder, kranke oder ältere Menschen. Unten an der Treppe wird man direkt angefangen von Beach Boys und Kindern was wahnsinnig nervt.
Der Weg zum Ressort ist ziemlich abgelegen und übel. Man muss durch ein Dorf fahren, wird von Einheimischen angehalten die ans Fenster klopfen und die Tür öffnen wollen. Absolut unangenehm . Es ist wirklich sehr abgelegen.

The place is paradise. As authentic as on the pictures. Awesome friendly staff. Aya is at a nice place very calm and relaxed. (Beside of the construction works on neighbourhood place) - No good options if you want to go out. But this is not needed as the place offers all you need. A nice Restaurant with awesome beach view and sunset view. Prices are high for Zanzibar but still reasonable. Food is good.
The outdoor gym is great and was the reason for us to come. The Equipment could be in better shape (bycicle) and lighter dumbbells are missing, starting from 12,5kg.
Room: Deluxe Villas are nice with ocean view and well maintained. Twice a day the staff sprays against Moskitos. It is very clean.
Security: Security people around all day and night.
Would be nice if SUP would be offered and water to brush the teeth would be free. Tours offered from the hotel should be same price or below the offers from locals.
More storage space in the room would be nice as well as some gadgets like body lotion, toothbrush cup, free water to brush the teeth...

Great location with beautiful views in quiet fishing village. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom, very clean. Beautifully maintained garden and villas. We loved the food in the restaurant, all the seafood dishes were super fresh and very tasty. Their curry and pilau were super good too. We didn't try any of meat dishes but being on Zanzibar you can't expect a wide range of them.
We liked the breakfast options too.
The massage I got there was amazing, I strongly recommend it.
We liked the staff as well, very friendly and professional.
A bit surprised that lunch menu was the same as dinner menu. When you're staying there 6 nights as we did you can run out of the options. What we did was trying to eat lunch somewhere else.
We found behaviour of managers/owners? a bit peculiar. Sitting at corner table, kind of watching employees and trying to stay incognito at the same time. I get that they live there and can't be hiding in their villa all the time, but in such a small place you either hide your presence better or quite opposite you present yourself to costumers. They came across as distant and unfriendly. But that didn't affect our stay, we'd love to come back there again.

Paradise spot. Beautiful setting leading onto stunning beach. Loved the outdoor gym and hammocks all set on a sandy area.
Excellent dinner and breakfast - freshly made and tasty. Room was basic but clean and functional. Very friendly staff, too. Check-out was 11am but they invited us to stay in the resort as long as we wanted after checking out. Really fautless.
This is not a criticism but just to know:
The road leading to the hotel is a desolate, poorly-maintained sand-track with large pot-holes.

- the selection of food could be better, but for the 3 nights stay with full meals it was ok, daily specialities gave a great diversification. Staying for more than 4 days probably would get bit bored :P
- location is bit far from everything, so if you wish to do many “land tours” take into account time for moving around

The staff was Friendly.
The Quality of the food from the restaurant is fresh and good.
The rooms and the property in general is Clean.
Good for 1 or 2 nights max only.
Bad Location - min $50 - $80 to closest touristic area with partial roads.
Shared small beach area filled with Algae and No Privacy from local villagers and Sales people.
Bad WiFi - doesn’t work 90% of the time.
Construction noise 9am to 5pm from neighboring property!
Loud music 6pm to 2am from neighboring workers!
Unstable Power - we had 6 power outages in a 5nights stay. When reported, I was given a generic answer that the outage is in the whole island ! What about generators or battery back up, provide the services that’s expected for the $$$ Price per night you charge or reimburse.
Unfriendly Management / Owners who live at the property and hide from guests. The only way I could communicate with them was through App’s messenger
Villa allocation - we got the last villa next to the car parking as the front sea villas were reserved. Only 2 or 3 villas are ideally located in the property and worth the price they charge, one is occupied by the owner and the other is beside the restaurant. The rest have either the construction view, noise or far from the sea but called sea view ofcourse as you can see the sea even from the road.
NOTE - this property does not have any Ratings or Stars.
Good for short stays 1 or 2 nights max (our stay was of 5nights & we tried to leave early but the Hotel refused to reimburse so had to seek help of the application but due to bad WiFi we couldn't act in time.
There is no TV or Intercom or Telephone to contact the reception.

The manger is such lovely lady so welcoming and nice person. So all the staff staring from the tour guy to the rest of the staff. Beach is beautiful and clean

in spite of going there off season it was not possible to get massage and the staff seemed tired.
there was a power cut one of the days we were there, and their generator broke. so no electricity the whole evening and some of the night

Aya Beach offers an experience with exceptional staff and hospitality. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and helpful service. Throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, making our experience truly unforgettable.
We would have preferred menus and activity offerings to be in the national currency: Tanzanian shillings. As South African guests we feel that the place is designed for European and American visitors (paying in Dollars is expensive for some of us!!), there is room to create a wonderful space for tourists from across the world.

Super relaxed place, nice rooms and friendly staff. Also the beach and views are amazing.
The place was really nice, but compared to other places similar to it I found it definitely very expensive for what was offered. Also, the restaurant food is good but the choice is rather small and I personally found it difficult to really find sth new to eat during our 4 day stay.

Bulgarian Management, they did not made an effort with communication and they brought their family friends visitors.. Not good for the business and tourism..

Our breakfast and dinner was included in our package, which was definitely a pro! The restaurant and the menu are some of the best in the area! Loved the beautiful lighting during dinner service!!!!! A must try from the menu is their freshly caught sesame crusted tuna and for breakfast, their Breakfast Naan Bread! Mmmmmm... And the views from the restaurant..... Incredible!
Both our rooms were very spacious, bright and comfortable, with lovely spacious en-suite bathrooms. The rooms were quiet and private, each with a lovely breezy patio.
My family loved swimming in the beautiful pool, with amazing views of the ocean.
Our hosts went above and beyond for our family, and even booked the most memorable fishing trip for my eldest son.

the rooms were lovely and cool- the aircon was a bonus. The concept of having poolside service was lovely too, but I didn’t use it personally. The henna lady was very lovely and talented.
The WIFI was shockingly bad! We got sick the first night from being there- the menu was very small and the complimentary breakfast is very misleading, you get fruit and some basic cereal included and everything else is at a much higher charge. I think they have spent a lot of money on the advertisement- which is good- but they have marketed it to he a lot higher than what it is! We also stayed at promised land up the road, and spent our whole time wishing we were back there.
