if there was no other accommodation available in Bergen, I'd rather not visit Bergen again.

friendly staff at the front desk (the front desk isn't staffed 24/7), central location of the hotel, secure entrance

this was room 511. there was noise. endless noise. 1: ventilation was constantly droning. it was not able to turn it off. 2. occasionally (3-4 times a night), for 30 seconds there was a high pitched noise coming from the bathroom ceiling. 3. Thursday to Sunday, every morning, the empty bottles from bars at the courtyard were thrown anywhere from 1 to 2 times starting at 8am to 9am. the noise is hurtful and loud and ear scratching. half of the apartments in the hotel overlooked the inner courtyard. i assume they would suffer the same noise pollution. the courtyard in turn was nothing else but a collection of trashcans for local bars. 4. there was a construction, they were also noisy. the bathroom was a joke. sitting on the toilet seat was quite uncomfortable coz the paper roll holder was too wide and blocked the person's shoulder. toilet paper was of the cheapest single ply. shower cabin was so tiny, it was not possible to bend down (no, I'm not fat). shower cabin doors didn't fully open, coz the bathroom cabinet was blocking it. shower tap was closed tight so hard, because otherwise it would leak and drip all day long. the shower cabin was leaking into the bathroom. the living room sockets stopped working permanently after a day or two, when the microwave was turned on. there was a kitchen, but, no salt, no sugar, no oil, no paper towels. the bathroom sink was partly clogged. took minutes to completely drain the water. the apartment's door had zero sound insulation. spoken word was 1 to 1 audible inside the room. the drain pipe "breather" was covered by a plastic foil ... though guests are given a sheet of paper to explain a few things, but there was zero information about the corridor doors and hotel entrance door being closed after 24h. the corridor door towards the elevators was automatically locked, and only by pushing an additional button (marked 24) could it be opened.

Ubicación bien, si pensais en cocinar allí quizás no funcionen los electrodomésticos. Y si os molesta el ruido para dorm

La vitroceramica no funciona. Hay un ruido constante de la campana extractora que no deja dormir y llamamos para pedir ayuda y tardaron más de una hora en llegar y no nos solucionaron el problema.

A nice place that I would recommend

Wonderful room, very attentive staff, good location

The kitchenette could have been stocked a bit better, lacked a few items like a baking tray or spatula. No washcloths in the bathroom. It could get a bit noisy on weekend nights.

No clothes hunger in the toilet.

1. The staff were very cooperating. 2. I checked in at 1400hrs. 3. The small room consists of the main things like hot plates, microwave, dishes and iron with table. 4. The best thing is that there is a washing room with a washing machine, clothes dry, and the hotel will provide the soap.

1. Toilet is small, no hunger for clothes 2. To be batter to provide a big stand fan for the room because there is no A/C or ventilation system ,it is hot inside.

Pleasant

Perfect location right in the city center. All important locations were within walking distance. The staff was really friendly.

The room that was allocated to us was different from what we had booked. Although when we informed the reception about this, they offered us compensation. The bed sheets and towels were not clean. The kitchen had very limited utensils. Considering the price, the experience was not so pleasant.

Hotel is centrally located and walking distance to the brygge. Close to shops, train station, parks.

Walls are thin and you can hear noises from the hallway and the bars located below and across the street. Facility looks like it is being renovated so some rooms are not finished yet. I did not like that they started renting the rooms even though it is obvious that some parts are still not complete.

Room was spacious and very clean Kitchen was well equipped Location is brilliant if one wants to walk around Bergen and get to know the city

The bathrooms are dated and need work doing The shower cubicle was leaky One can’t sleep with the windows open due to the noise from the street even at 1 am due to its location which has its disadvantages too

I will be back!

Location is great, very central. Close to public transport, shops, concert venues and sightseeing venues. Lovely to have a kitchen to prepare own food incl breakfast rather than eat out all the time.

It will be much improved when the refurbishment of reception and other public areas are finished. Lots of workmen when I was there but they were all very courteous, and staff apologetic for any inconvenience .

Good

The location is great. Very central to cafes, restaurants and trasport. Everything is 2-5 mins walk. Rooms are large with good layput and equipment. Wish there was a microwave though.

The shower was a disaster. Water leaked out everywhere from under the shower. We had to put towels down to.mop up constantly . I slipped because of trying to navigate the water spill.and pulled my back muscle. The toilet leaked and was very noisy due to the faulty flush and constant refill. Very disturbing at night and impacted our sleep. We repited it to reception, they troed to get ot fixed but could not. They were good enough to give us a discount. Would have been good if they had offered to change our room. There is stilll a lot of removation happening on.the floor and reception area. The rooms have good bones but tacky fittings. Its ok.for a night or two due to the central location.

the room had windows onto the hotel corridor and the curtains didn't block out the light 100%, maybe it's better to turn off the lights at night or put a motion sensor on otherwise it always filters light into the bedroom.

excellent location, helpful and responsive staff, good wifi, spacious living area

The entire hotel is undergoing complete maintenance, so there is a scaffolding on the building facade, and construction workers are also working there.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the lovely apartment and beautiful Bergen.

The apartment we had was lovely and spacious, with everything you needed for a few night's stay. The location was also very handy to everything we wanted to do. We had a nice view from the room over the square. There were some renovations going on whilst we there, and I am sure it is going to be fantastic when completed.

One of the best

I have been at Ole Bull Apartments several times - one of my favorites in Bergen. This time there was full renovation going on - I believe it will be perfect again after my only "good" review this time. Building new/ and upgrading old rooms creates some extra noice and dirt.

This time renovation created some extra noice and untidiness. Also limited lift usage. Despite this I would book the place - big rooms with affordable price in the center of Bergen. You also have the possibilities of the small kitchen in the room.
