Next to the water, multiple restaurants around Lidl and small shop nearby.
There was one EU plug in the room.
The only window in the room was facing walls of the same building with air conditioning, couple of meters away. Dark, no view.
There was one EU contact, but lamp was connected to it so it took a moment to find.

The location was ideal for our needs
When we arrived on Thursday there was a group of students running along the corridors and stairs. They even set off the fire alarm causing the hotel to be evacuated.
I ordered early breakfast in Friday for Sunday. The lady on reception assured me it was ordered and would be ready. Early Sunday morning and no breakfast!!

We are third time in Europa Hotel and each time is better and better. Room was perfectly clean, big towels, beautiful view from big balcony, morning sunny rise up. Breakfast was like in 4 stars hotels in England. Staff and assist during our stay always was friendly and very professional.
All was perfect

Needed a one night overnight stay after checking out from another property, and this did it. The price vs. value offered is excellent. Location is across from the sea, next to restaurants, shopping, transportation and 15 minute walk to Valletta ferry.
It's a 2 star hotel, well maintained . Everything met my expectation
Towels need to be replaced , enough is enough

The location
The room with inner window are very claustrophobic; I could hear the other guests, noisy kids, I could hear them toilet breaking.

I had one of my worst hotel experiences ever on this hotel.
The staff was not very friendly initially when the door and the door frame to my room were freshly painted, so my jacket and pants got destroyed with paint they just moved me to another room telling me to talk to the manager the day after. I got a room where the sink was half full of water and plugged.
The walls were thin and you could even hear sounds from the next room's bathroom.
Breakfast was of terrible quality, would not recommend anyone to pay for it.
Going back to my destroyed clothes the manager was not there the day after, the person behind the counter told me to get back the next day to talk to the manager and leave my clothes. When I got back they had done efforts to scrub my clothes and said that the rest would be ok after a wash. I told them that it is not acceptable to rent out rooms with freshly painted doors in a low tone and would have expected an excuse but the manager got even ruder. He also claimed that I had stayed in another room and that I was lying, when I showed him pictures from the room he said it was another one, they had signs for fresh paint everywhere, etc.
I don't recommend anyone staying at this hotel!

The first night we did not get the sea view room we paid for, without any apology. Some kind of story about a power outage, while they obviously overbooked the rooms with a sea view.
One of the men at the reception was extremely arrogant and rude. We asked him about the power adapters we wanted to rent, because it said we could on their website, and he was once again very unpleasant, rude and unprofessional. However, the other man and the woman at the reception were the complete opposite, being friendly and welcoming. The room without a view is horrible, airless and claustrophobic. The door lock is very old fashioned and unsafe. The only good thing about this hotel are the cleaning ladies, who do their job extremely well.
We do not recommend this hotel at all and you can get better for this price.

There was nothing to like or not, we didn't stay in the hotel.
When we arrived at the hotel, we filled all necessary documents for the stay, paid tourist tax and then the lady at the front desk started wandering. We were curious what is happening and why we are not receiving our key for the room and getting accommodated. After like 15 minutes of checking and not providing any information, the lady told us that we are not staying in Europa hotel, but in some other of their chain hotel. "It is 3 star hotel, very nice" she said. The reason of the moving was because there is "maintenance problem" with our room. Anyway, they called taxi, we went in the other hotel, to find out that we are staying there for only 1 night and that Europa hotel was overbooked?! There was maintenance problem first, right?! And then we would go back for the second night in Europa - what a ridiculousness! They gave us the worst room they had, almost nothing was in good condition - broken shower doors, bad condition sink and toilet, very uncomfortable beds, bad smelling wardrobe - the cheapest room in the house! Not to speak about view, there was not! The only small window of 1m² did not even provide any light. Even though the ladies at the desk were trying to be nice (they were not nice at all - they were just trying), this is not how you treat guests by giving them the ugliest room, when moved from another hotel and it's not even your choice! We asked to just stay in that new hotel for the 2 nights, because there's no point of going back to Europa for just one night and 2 times we received "no" as an answer. We were asked to leave the ugly room, because it was booked for our second night. Hopefully a nice guy at the reception did his job and we were able to stay the second night at the new hotel, in a bit better room with better beds, at least we got some rest.
Generally very bad experience and not worth the patience we had with them.

Location is great, between Valletta and St. Julians, nice walking area in front of the hotel and hotel is located basically on the beach. Inside the hotel is extremely quiet and our room was extra clean, bonus for thorough cleaning every day of the room.
We booked one single bed and first we got the room with one single bed but that room was not setup nor cleaned so after we complained we got a new room that was sparkling clean but there were 2 single beds that were put together, i was too lazy to complain again in general it was okay and mattresses are really comfy.

The view and location are excellent. Get an ocean view room.
