Not as nice as the one in Tangier. Hotel needs a revamp

I have stayed at Barcelo in Tangier Morooco and it was amazing . The best hotel I ever been to . I was expecting the same experience at this Barcelo, but it was no where near as nice . The staff was slow . I did like the tours though . The room were outdated. Needs to be renovated. However, I did enjoy the pool. Breakfast could be a little better too

OK BUT COULD BE BETTER

THE ROOMS ARE OK , THE HOTEL IS OK THE PRICE IS VERY GOOD AND IT IS CONVENIENT TO STAY IN GIZA WHEN YOU VISIT THE PYRAMIDS.

THE LOCATION, IS GIZA BUT NOT NEAR THE PYRAMIDS AND THE AREA ISN'T SO NICE. ALSO THE HOTEL COULD BE CLEANER AND THE STAFF NICER.

High standard hotel with great staff and an amazing pool facility with a bar.

Freindly staff who can speak good English and I assume Spanish from the Spanish groups that were there, very informative and always asks to clean my room. I was usually going to breakfast 10 mins before closing and they let me finish my breakfast and pick what I wanted before closing time . I had issues booking Uber to the airport and a friendly staff member kindly did it for me given my unique situation very early in the morning after checkout.

Fortunately/ unfortunately for tourism and locals a metro is being built in front of the hotel it has destroyed the image of the street and a lot of rubbish and unsafe walkways left outside the hotel (not hotels issues of course ) other than that it’s perfect and would stay again.

It's very expensive for the value you get. There's a construction outside that makes noise even staying at floor 9.

The hotel had different options for dinner. You could use the restaurant, the buffet, or order food from a dedicated bar area. All food options were good.

I got upgraded to a suite on level 4, and the room size and location are great , but the bathroom needs updating and repairs done.

Good base to spend a few days in Cairo

Fairly comfortable beds, nice pool, good breakfast.

You can easily find your own English speaking taxi driver to take you to the museum and/or antiquity’s outside of Giza for much much cheaper. The evening buffet is pretty blah.

A good place with some nice people

The best thing was the great hospitality of Hagar in welcoming with very beautiful smiling face. Very special thanks from my heart. İman in the reception also was helpful. Thanks her for free upgrading my room.

Exceptional

The service was amazing. Iman was the most helpful. Sahrif at the taxi service inside the hotel is very trustworthy.

You are the Cairo city. Close to good food and shops but many, many hagglers.

the security who stands near the hotel gate made me hate going out of hotel because everytime I enter the hotel he tells me what do you want like I'm not resident in the hotel.

Not for us.

The bed was very comfortable.

The room smelled so bad of mold. we ended being upgraded to a suite that overlooked a wall… No ventilation. Eventhough our cleaner did his best to try to mask the moldy smell, it just didn’t suffice and my wife suffered with allergies and asthma due to mold. Freezing pool (not heated as indicated on website), horrible staff in general, old old place, not the level of refinements as a Mexican Barcelo would have. We won’t be back and do not recommend this place.

Not a real Barcelo.

Very comfy bed.

For travellers visiting the Giza Pyramids location and place is great

Reception staff were extremly helpful with information and guidance about Cairo and getting about. Breakfast buffet was great and plenty of choice. Pool area was lovely and calm Hotel lobby was nicely done up

WiFi info how to connect was missing from room info -Reception had to re-set out phones almost every day with new code. Room was somewhat tired with shower fitting wobbly and Room fridge cover door not fitting well. Room was ok but not spacious. Buffett restaurant was great for breakfast but a bit bland for dinner - other restaurants in hotel had almost identical menues and were a bit uninviting.

good and bad expirience had a great massage done

we loved the pool, and the beds were very confortable.

the surroundings are under construction, not as closed as expected to the Pyramids . the had music all night in the corridors with a loop of three songs, as a well as a tecno disco very near by.

Decent hotel with nice staff. Good to have the restaurant options on premise including one buffet.

Pool area is nice. Decent restaurants.

Location isn’t great. Not really anything around it but Cairo as a city isn’t a walking city anyway which ups the value of three in house restaurants.
