From the time we tried to check in, and our code was wrong, which led to a two hour delay checking into our villa, and the girl at Vacasa didn’t even know the location and told us the wrong directions . The villa was totally and completely outdated and not clean at all! The Remote controls didn’t work because the batteries were dead. The tv’s were small and didn’t have a good channel selection. There was no lightbulbs in some of the lights and the kitchen was not stocked with anything useful. The pots and pans look like they were 50 years old and were so gross, as were the shower curtains that looked like they were from the dollar store! I wouldn’t even drink out of a glass! . The next morning our air conditioner wasn’t working. They did fix that by the afternoon in a timely manner. Just because this is a great location, I definitely would not recommend it to anyone! Please save your money and book from a private owner!

The Moorings is usually a great place but this time was okay, not great. Some decor and furniture were very nice, but the couch is old and worn. The kitchen was poorly stocked: not enough coffee cups, dull knives, and loose fridge handle held on with screws and brackets. But dishwasher stove and Keurig newer and working. Lots of dust over doors, burned out light bulbs, and weird chandelier. Light switch plates dingy and dirty walls. For 3 grand, it’s reasonable to expect a clean place that feels and looks cared for, not just ‘some rental.’

Our entire extended family has stayed in the Moorings for about 20 years now. It is the perfect location just off the beach, a short bike ride or walk to the General Store, & next door to the Dune’s House restaurant! There is plenty of room to park bikes store beach stuff under each unit, protected from the elements. This condo was more updated than some we have stayed in over the years. The pet friendly option was gave us wonderful peace of mind just in case we had to bring our elderly pug. The condo was clean & the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes. Vacasa’s bedding & towels were all bright white & fresh, which is a big deal to us. The only complaint any of us had was that the master bed’s mattress was soft & therefore uncomfortable for my husband’s back. We had a great time again this year & would definitely stay in this condo again.
Note: Other reviews stated something about a hole in the shower wall. This issue has been fixed!!! There were no issues at all with any of the 3 showers.

The pots/pans are warped. Doesn’t cook evenly and the master bathroom blow dryer did not work. I was able to use the blow dryer in bathroom with washer/dryer

When we arrived on 10/1/22 we found that the king size redros bathroom wasnt working, i left a review when they text me and all they said was sorry about the bathroom. Its a 3 bathroom condo and only had 2 bathrooms which was an inconvience with all of us staying there nor were we told about that issue when we checked in or reserved the condo. THEN we noticed it was staying hot on the left side of condo, we realized the thermostat had no electric to it. We wiggled it and it came on for maybe 10 mins just enough to get the air moving. I called and they sent a note out for someone to fix it. The guy called me and he said he was in the area he was gonna come in and replace the batteries while we were gone out to walmart. Alright cool. We get back its still not working and we take the thermostat off and THERES NO BATTERIES. Um ok! It stayed 75 and above on that side. It was miserable trying to sleep. The porch boards were not screwed in and buckled up also. And the hallway bathroom towel rail fell off the wall. We come to moorings every year. We was just disappointed with maintenance

Condo well stocked and clean. Shower had broken sheetrock in shower and a plastic bag taped over a huge hole in tile. VERY SHABBY. Won't stay again.

The short walk to the beach access is the best thing about this rental. It would have been nice to have had the brand new shower head found in the closet. The one installed is horrible. The wallpaper is peeling in the shower as well. Half of the outlets do not work...including the ones in the master bathroom. A couple of boards are coming loose on the balcony which could be a problem especially if you have small children. I feel like the few minor things could be fixed with minimal time and money especially for the rate this unit is renting for.

Steps to beach. Dog friendly. Cozy and quiet, quaint location. Outdated interior and the bathrooms were super tight. Had a great time. Would consider the Moorings again, especially if we found a unit with better bathroom configuration.

We enjoyed our 1 week visit to Hilton Head. The condo location was convenient to the beach and Palmetto Dunes is close to all shopping and restaurants. The unit was OK, but the bathrooms and kitchen are in desperate need of updates. Tile countertops in the kitchen and baths give an idea of the age. The master bath is especially in need of tub repair. The tiles were falling off to the point that Flex Seal tape was used to cover a major area of tile. We didn't even feel comfortable using that shower and used the hall shower all week. The beds were OK but also really old.

We come to Hilts n Head with a group of moms every Labor Day. We have stayed in this condo complex before and we love the location. Unfortunately this unit was very dirty. The house Mamelukes like mold, especially the double bedroom, and someone had stuffed dryer sheets in the vents to block the smell. It did not. One shower was completely unusable with Duck tape over a large (3fttall) hole in the wall of the shower. The fridge was dirty and there were multiple cockroaches. Also one of the patio chairs was broken and the remote to the TV only worked half the time. I called the rental office and they were VERY responsive and kind.

Steps to the Ocean
Very clean, comfortable furniture and great location. Construction happening in the building next door was extremely loud all day long. Otherwise a very enjoyable place to stay.

This was our second stay at this location. The location of this property is great! It is very close to the beach, so it is easy to come and go as needed. There were plenty of grassy areas for our dogs to do their business. There were a lot of dogs and pet owners, but everyone did a great job of cleaning up after their pets. Perfect location!
This was our second stay at this location. The location of this property is great! It is very close to the beach, so it is easy to come and go as needed. It’s a first floor condo so there’s only two small sets of steps to get in. The layout is nice and comfortably sleeps 6. The living room has new good quality furniture that comfortably sits 4-5 people. Back in 2019 I made a suggestion about improving the inventory of the kitchen, but it seems that nothing has changed (I left private feedback back then, not public) . The rental says it sleeps 8, but there aren’t even 8 dinner plates, salad/cereal bowls etc. We ended up buying some paper plates to supplement, or we would’ve had to run the dishwasher twice a day. There was no can opener, no cookie sheets, no oven mitts, and just overall not well equipped. There were some nice pots and pans, however. One of the rental listing photos showed a Keurig, so we brought several K-cups, only to find no Keurig at the rental. The regular coffee pot worked well. The dishwasher is rusted on the inside. The refrigerator is missing the door handle. The ice maker only made about 18 ice cubes a day so we bought bagged ice. The kitchen sink, disposal side, is missing the rubber splash guard so water would fly everywhere when using the garbage disposal. The ceilings have several stains throughout the rental and the walls need cleaning. The entire place is in need of a deep cleaning. Lots of dust. Clumps of dog hair were found in the master bedroom, and one of the closet blankets was covered in dog hair. When we arrived on our first day, there were 2 lamps with burned out bulbs and 1 with no bulb at all. Since the bedrooms have no ceiling lights, the lamps were well needed. We contacted the rental agency who promptly brought us bulbs and also took care of a wasp nest on one of the decks.
This rental’s best feature is definitely the location. Everything else inside needs addressed. After staying here twice in the past 2 years, I don’t think we’d be back.

Oh well didn't tell Vacasa about that or needing a light at bottom of outside stairs. Honestly the master bed was very comfortable and there was a nice size fan. Master bath needs updating bad and cracked counter tiles in kitchen. We still enjoyed our stay.

We just returned from 2 weeks in Hilton Head. It was wonderful to have our dogs with us. The location of this villa and its’ 2 minute access to the beach cannot be beat. The unit had everything we needed. The listing should be updated as the master bedroom now a king size bed and there is a toaster, Keurig, and a blender. Amazing Vacation

The condo is incorrectly marked, which also took us over an hour to find after numerous phone calls with the property. Our keys were also faulty, which resulted in us getting locked out of the property, and using the spare key in the lock box. This happened again, even which the lock box key. We had to wait for a staff member to bring us an additional key. Overall, the property is nice and very close to the beach- just some frustrating other components of the trip. We'd stay again.

This condo was the perfect find for our family vacation. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the 3 bathrooms felt luxurious for two bedrooms! Best of all, it was just a few minutes to walk to the beach, and one minute to the pool, can’t beat that convenience! We would definitely stay again.
