Located in Iowa, this charming house for $745 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Newly constructed, custom waterfront home: 4 bed, 2.5 bath, sleeps maximum of 15, two car garage, washer and dryer, personal 30 foot beach, private dock with lift, a boat ramp directly across the bay, and free Wifi! Welcome to The Fox Den, a waterfront property over looking Ventura Bay and Clear Lake. The Fox Den got it's name from the the original 1940's cabin that sat on this property and the baby fox that lived under this front porch when we purchased the property. While staying here, you will enjoy the beautifully wooded, quaint atmosphere of Ventura Heights, while just minutes away from Clear Lake's local shops and down town, lake-life atmosphere. Whether you're here to fish, enjoy water sports, or just spending time relaxing with family, this home is sure meet all of your needs! Bringing the kids, no problem! We have a pack'n play, convertible booster seat/highchair, extra bibs, and extra wipes (we've all been there!) Forgot something? We hope to have extras of most things you'll need during your stay. There are folding chairs, life jackets, etc. in the lower level storage closet. There is a 2 Stall Garage with 2 car drive way. There is a public access on one side of the property that is available for additional parking, but not overnight. MAIN FLOOR: Zero entry from garage to main floor. This floor consists of a powder bathroom, kitchen, great room with a sleeper sofa, TV, and deck over looking the lake. 2ND FLOOR LOFT: Enjoy a view from the 2nd floor balcony that over looks the main level and a full wall of windows looking directly out to the lake. This floor has a full bathroom with a double-sink vanity and shower. One of the bedrooms on this floor includes a full over full bunk bed with a twin trundle bed underneath, sleeping 5. The other two bedrooms each include a queen bed (sleeping 2 people per room) and overlook a picturesque wooded area. LOWER LEVEL: The lower level consists of a living area with a queen pull out sofa, a TV, and a spacious patio overlooking the lake. This floor has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and one full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and washer and dryer! This property is strictly non-smoking. No parties! A beautiful home with everything you could possibly need! The windows looking out to the lake gave us the most spectacular view for a late night storm with big cracks of thunder and lightening. The kitchen is fully stocked, every room sparkling clean, and the surrounding area was fun to stroll. Property owner was quick to respond to my questions. The beds are comfortable and though the house is big, gathering spaces are so cozy. Five stars all around!

My siblings and our spouses all gathered for the Labor Day weekend. The house is lovely -- airy and full of light. The view over the lake is spectacular. It was the perfect place to spend time as a family. Though we all live in Iowa, we had never been to the Clear Lake area. We were all really impressed with the lake, the Clear Lake community and particularly Mason City. The Frank Lloyd-Wright house museum and hotel are a must-see!

Home was exactly as pictured on site. Beautiful! Plenty of room for 6 adults, a two year old and newborn. Kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you need to cook. Nice walking trails nearby and even tho other homes around, it was quiet and peaceful. If we head back to Clear Lake in future we would definitely book again!

We were impressed with waking up to a beautiful view of the lake. It was such a relaxing atmosphere sitting out on the decks. The walk out lower level was such a wonderful feature so you could go right out to the dock. The little ones especially loved playing in the sand. The place is also very well equipped with everything you need and beautifully decorated, making us feel at home. .

We had such a fantastic time staying at the Fox Den to celebrate my mothers 70th birthday. As a family we spent our summers at Clear lake staying at my grandparents home on the water. It meant so much for us all to get back out on the lake. Emily was prompt with answering any questions I had and the cabin views were absoloutley amazing. So close to so many great resturants and shops. We made memories to last a lifetime and are already trying to sync schedules to select a return date. We will be back!!

It was a wonderful place to stay and our family loved it!! Water quality wasn’t the best. It was mucky and had lots of seaweed. But the kids enjoyed the beach and the smooth lake for skiing and tubing. The house is awesome. Parking is an issue.

Our extended family has been going to Clear Lake for an annual vacation for over 5 years. We have stayed in various rentals along the lake each year. We have NOT fallen in love with a rental until this year! The Fox Den is a hidden gem! We ended up booking our next year's trip after the first day! The hosts go above and beyond to be accommodating. We utilized our boat with ease and convenience due to their provided boat lift! We didn't have the best weather, but that didn't stop the whole family from having a great time! The large open concept didn't make it feel cramped when we were all inside! The decor and cleanliness made it feel like a home away from home!! We can't wait to be back next year and for longer this time ☺️

This beautiful, well-maintained property perfect to gather the collective 13 members of our 3 grand families. Clear Lake is a lovely town (with a great cookie store), and nearby Mason City offered surprises. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. Highest recommendation.

We had a wonderful stay at Fox Den. We had 6 adults and 4 little kids and we all fit perfectly in the home. It is spacious and didn’t feel crowded at all. The dock and beach area was great for the kids and we caught lots of fish off the dock. Can’t wait to come back!

Our family of 6 had a fun and relaxing vacation in this beautiful house directly on the lake. We went fishing, paddleboarding, and canoeing. We tried some great restaurants and stayed in to grill and eat on the deck overlooking the lake. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The property owners were easy to communicate with and quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this vacation rental!

We enjoyed the property and the location. Very nice house, clean and spacious. Great access to lake. We have only one concern: the house is listed as sleeping 15 people. We believe this should be amended to say it sleeps 9 adults and 6 children comfortably. The bunk beds and the trundle bed are more suited for children, and certainly will not sleep two people each, unless they are small children. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

We love this home and our time spent here. The hosts are fantastic! We had a snafu when we arrived this year and their response was very timely. The Home is very clean and well equipped with kitchen items and towels/blankets/pillows. We love that it is right on the water and has a boat lift for use while renting the home. Beautiful home with everything you would need or want for a comfortable, relaxing, fun getaway. Constantly amazed by all the little "extras" we found upon opening a drawer or closet. Emily seems to have thought of everything. Views of the lake and surrounding area are amazing. The deck and patio areas ensure you'll enjoy the outdoors as much as the indoors. It was perfect for us!

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend getaway at this beautiful lake home. It was my second time renting as had stayed here previously with girlfriends. The views are amazing and the home is very tastefully decorated. We did not need to contact the owners during our stay as had everything we needed. Highly recommend.
