About this cabin rental
Come enjoy some real Flagstaff history up close! The Historic Rock Ranch is hidden in the center of town on a 2 acre forested oasis. The ranch house is a large one bedroom, one bathroom, rustic bunk house, turned into a chic', hip, air conditioned getaway. The home sleeps up to four in beds, but a few more can stay with a small fee for each additional guest. *For all stays 10 nights or longer, the cleaning fee will be double the regular amount for a deep clean after guest departure.* *If there is an amenity that is out- of -order that is advertised in the Home’s listing, that is not available to you due to unforeseen circumstances. A 10% reimbursement of the base rate will be offered as compensation* -No Smoking: Evidence of smoking will carry a fine of $500.00 -$25.00 for not departing the home at the designated time of departure. $35.00 for each additional hour after the first hour. -Items left at home wanted to be shipped back to owner: Cost of shipping +$25.00 flat fee. -pets: Pets are allowed for an additional fee. No Cats -No Parties: We have a strict "No-party policy". Fine of $500.00 and guests will be asked to depart from the home immediately. -If early check in is available, it is $50 to check in after 1 pm. If late check out is available, it is $50 to check out at 1pm.

Large property with trees and natural vegetation. It was very quiet but conveniently located in town.

This is a fairly nice property but:
Threadbare linens and old blankets, outdoor area is unkept/overgrown with worn outdoor furniture, lamps missing light bulbs, multiple clocks without batteries/rundown batteries, one hanger, dusty and dirty floors, windows.
You receive reminders about checkout (some words in all CAPS). The requirements are: starting a load of towels, washing/drying putting all dishes away, taking out the trash. "We will NOT clean your dishes for free"
The bathroom is extremely small with a tiny sink and no place to store toiletries or bathroom necessities. Otherwise it is a large house with a dark living room space.

Great place for a small group of family and friends to come together for graduation from NAU. Apart from a couple minor issues ( 15 lights burned out and no dish rags and no carafe for the coffee maker) it was a great place for our celebration. Would rent it again.

This cabin feels like you’re out in the woods, yet you’re moments from every thing available in town. Very nice and private.

We enjoyed our stay at the rock house cabin. Some of the things we enjoyed are:
- close proximity of dining shopping stores
- cozy comfortable one room with extra bed
- the Ugg blanket was a nice touch to the bed
- the cabin ambiance added to the mountain cabin experience
- smart tv and entertainment available
- Snowbowl is abt a 20 min drive
- gated property was safe for kids and family
My family had a blast and would love to have the option in the future to rent this property again.

Historic home with the feeling of quiet energy. My husband knew the family the original owners and the ones that built this lovely home. We call this home our Flagstaff home.

The property is in great proximity to downtown and feels secluded enough that you feel that you have gotten away from it all.

Cool to have some space to walk around with family right outside house.
Cons:
Sheets had body hair from previous guests. Host offered cleaners come next day or he would bring new sheets that evening. My wife ended up washing and drying sheets first thing when we got there.
From outside, Property looked abandoned and had excessive brush and weeds up against house, probably contributed to a couple 8 leggers inside, that we got rid of.
Dead weeds growing up through bench outside and TONS of pine needles rendered outside seating areas useless unless you wanted do do some landscaping/clean up first.

This is such a sweet house! It's in a quiet neighborhood on a large piece of land- the trees and the stars are phenomenal! Close to everything you need. We'll definitely be back!

We were very pleased with the overall accommodations, convenient to NAU; two minor issues were encountered, one set of lights in the main sitting area didn’t work, refrigerator freezer section had ice buildup causing drawer not to close fully. Both items were brought to host’s attention. Would stay again.

Close to everything!
The house is beautiful and it was close to everything we wanted to do in Flagstaff. The only problem was an incomplete cleaning of the home before our arrival. The manager took prompt action however and we are pleased with our stay.

The house was very clean and spacious. It was just two of us but it was nice to have the room. What a lovely and private home close to everything.. Much bigger than what it looks like from the outside. The decor is beautiful and high quality. The fabulous lighting and wood paneling added warmth and coziness. Window coverings provided privacy for every window, which was appreciated greatly.
Bed and pillows are very, very comfortable. And the bath tub was a dream come true.

What a lovely and private home close to everything.. Much bigger than what it looks like from the outside. The decor is beautiful and high quality. The fabulous lighting and wood paneling added warmth and coziness. Window coverings provided privacy for every window, which was appreciated greatly.
Bed and pillows are very, very comfortable. And the bath tub was a dream come true.
Property manager was communicative and friendly. Would most definitely stay again in the future. Thank you!

The craftsmanship in this house is spectacular and it is beautifully appointed. It is in the middle of the city but the privacy fence on the 2-acre lot makes you feel like you are alone. My husband and I were very comfortable in this house. I highly recommend this property to anyone who appreciates old world craftsmanship in a modern home.

The only thing that was odd was the check out rules. I have never stayed somewhere that told me to wash the dishes and start a load of laundry. The exact quote in the rule was "we won't wash your dishes for free". But other than that is was very nice and might stay again for a quick weekend trip.

Both fireplaces are actually wood burning, with an ample supply of wood right outside the door. Directions were somewhat of a challenge since the address provided was to a place of business. Took us twice around the block to realize the property was located behind the business. Also, if you plan to have meals, you will need to provide absolutely everything yourself (salt, pepper, ice, etc.) as nothing is included. Not a problem since Safeway is close by but just good to know. Pots, pans, and dishes were all good. And the location is great!

We enjoyed the stay overall. Property was clean and seemed to be well cared-for. Finding it was difficult - instructions to the property were not super clear and the address didn't quite match. Bed is a bit hard and springy for my liking but the couch was a very comfortable alternative for afternoon naps. No clear instructions on fireplace operation were found in the property book. Couldn't tell if the flue was 100% open or not and the fire seemed to die out if the door was completely closed so I'm guessing it was not fully functional. Property manager responded to texts about the general operation but still left me guessing so I just gave up on it. Overall, though, I'd come back. The best things about this place are the solitude from a large property and close to essential stores - gas stations, a Sonic for late-night snacks and a Safeway. Not difficult to get elsewhere in Flagstaff, either.
