The townhouse has been mostly updated, keeping some original features like flooring to maintain the character of the home. It's an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of Fells Point. Check-in was easy, and the house is comfortable. It's a good place from which to explore the city of Baltimore!

Great Place To Stay
Abdul was very communicative and prompt with any questions we had. We felt very safe in this neighborhood and loved the brownstone experience. The house was very clean and offered all the amenities we needed. They had THE BEST bath towels! Super large and fluffy! We would definitely stay here again.

Overnight Getaway
The property manager was very responsive, everything was cleaned & stocked well, neighborhood was quiet (aside from church bells pretty early), parking was easier than I expected & it was a great central location to the places we were going to. Only thing I didn’t like was that it was listed with a fenced in yard, and there was no accessible yard.

But parking is a problem...
This very old row house has been redone, refurbished, redesigned, rewired, and re-plumbed since it was first built, and it was again re-worked in the last two years to shut off several rooms and a half bath and access to the yard in back, while moving the kitchen upstairs.
As it is now, it's adequate for two couples or a small family. Since the recent redo, there is no longer a dining area -- the kitchen has only two stools along a tiny island. If you're eating out most of the time, as we did, it's fine. Air conditioning worked okay (it was very hot when we were there): the lower level living room was cold enough that when we watched TV we needed the furry blanket provided, and the upper level bedroom definitely needed the ceiling fan to make sleeping comfortable.
We would have appreciated some bedside lamps or sconces alongside the bed to facilitate reading in bed.
Our host was very responsive the few times we contacted him by phone, although there was little he could do while we were there about the dishwasher that did not work. I'm assuming it's been fixed.
Our biggest disappointment was parking. We were assured there is a lot of street parking and people don't have trouble finding spaces. Sure, that's true if you come home between 4 and 4:30 and spend the evening in, but it took us almost an hour to find a space five blocks away when we came back from dinner at 8:30 p.m. midweek. It could be worse on weekends.

Stayed an hour
I never received check in info and when I requested it, got the door lock code but no instructions how to use the keypad. I made too many mistakes and got locked out from trying and had to call the host. He had me try it again but no luck. Then he tried from remote with no luck, then said he’d send someone. I’m sitting on the stoop with all my gear from 2 weeks on the road with my car doubleparked on the street, waiting. Finally I got in and was disappointed. Granted it’s old but it looked rushed through a remodel with final details incomplete or sloppy. Upstairs windows didn’t close all the way and seemed loosely installed. There was one plate, 2 cups, only wine glasses. I had to park over 3 blocks away on the street as there was no designated parking. My travel partner had an emergency and flew home 2 days earlier so I had to carry all my gear up the numerous stairs inside, which was difficult fir me due to a health condition. I also just didn’t feel safe. Peep holes were all blocked, one with a screw. My car was too far away for my comfort. I stayed an hour and made alternate plans and left. Host asked for feedback, which I provided but now silent since I asked for at least the cleaning fee refunded. He said it was up to VRBO, they said up to him.

Do you like pubic hair on your bed? Used tampons in your garbage? A/C that doesn't cool the bedrooms? Exposed staples coming out of wood floors? Then this is the place for you! Read on:
First off, I was assured street parking was available. Upon arriving after an 11 hour drive, it took an additional hour to find that street parking over a mile away. At that point, I got to enter a home complete with disgusting stains on the furniture, exposed staples coming out of the floorboard my son found by stepping on it, followed by used tampons in the garbage that wasn't taken out, masks on the closet floor, pubic hair on the main bedroom bedding, and extremely hot upstairs bedrooms. I contacted the host who told me the A/C should be fine in an hour (it wasn't, but then I left after an hour) and to pull out fans to help. I did- and those fans were so caked with dust I didn't want them blowing on my children's faces. I also told him how unclean it was and he assured me he'd send out the cleaning crew in the AM. I'm not sure how you clean what is permanent? After my son stepped on the staple, I messaged the owner I was out of there and left. Found a hotel and never went back. But wait- it gets better. He refuses to refund my stay! And has told VRBO that garbage was mine. Fun fact: I don't have a period and neither do my children so joke's on you! I will say they each ate a banana and threw out their peels. We will take that hit.
Anyway, he says he is a neurosurgeon at Hopkins. I hope he scrubs in better than he keeps a home.

This unit is in a great location and affordable for the stay.
I think there could be a few improvements for comfort of stay. Things like lamps in the bedrooms would be nice. I think there could be a lot less use of febreeze or glad plug-ins, because it was overwhelming and felt like it was covering up something else. It was stocked with shampoo, among other toiletries.
I also think there needs to be a bit better job of maintenance, since the toilet seat was broken and a bedroom doors didnt shut well/coming off the hinges. The handrail for top floor had nails coming out the bottom of handrail, which gave a good poke.
