Overall stay was good . Room conditions were good and comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights family stay. Only one thing missed even with notified service at the door notice , no cleaning was seen to be done.
Though not always used coffee machine was not usable due to mismatch filters kept.

very comfortable room and great amenities. Good to have a queen size bed that is actually a king size bed and not just to bed put together.

We ended up not staying and lost our money - and pay for another hotel. The place is a dump now and full of shady characters (drug abusers, people w their door wide open smoking inside, yelling at others). I've stayed there once back in 2018/19 and things have gone down hill. A couple of friendly staff in the front desk but doesn't really make up for ir.
Also, kind of slime that prices are for a 4pm check-in (never heard of that before and sure didn't know of this when I arrived - check the details bc I didn't) if you want to arrive by 2pm add another $50 by 3pm another $25. I can only imagine how it is at night.
Hope they take action bc the hotel has a good location

Nasty place, bed bugs and horrible experience doing check-in

The check-in process was absolutely painful. There was a very long line and it seems that nobody has ever checked into a hotel room. The credit card machine was not working properly, which added about a 40 minute wait for us to be able to check into our room. It also had a very musty stale smell in the room, very disappointing

Needs painted sheets wornout , corners of room dirty, rug dirty, bedspread had yellow stains

It was passable. The facilities were clean. The location on the water was nice. Service was an issue for me. The staff, particularly the maids, seem to think that you are there friend because you are in the hotel. Any unrequited advances turn into a battle of wills to get services. There was also some weirdness with someone turning in a key that they said was to my room. Housekeeping insisted the room was vacant although I was in it. It prompted a trip to the desk. SMH.

Check in was very quick and front desk attendant was more than friendly.

It was a decent stay for the price. I wish the rooms were cleaner. I was very upset because as a “gold member” I’m supposed to get free upgrades. There was hardly anyone staying at the hotel, most of the rooms were empty, but to get a mini-fridge I was charged extra for a “room upgrade” (which was a joke, there was no upgrade. The room was filthy and the same as the first room, actually smaller, just had a mini fridge. The location is good, right over the bridge from Manhattan, I love that it’s right on the water and allows pets.

Room 121 the toilet wasn't working the room lock pretty old
And the blanket they use is weird after you tough the bed and tough the lights you going to get a static electric shoot
And also Hotels.com don't explain that the check in is at 4:00.pm so 25 fee if you go early

Basic but very clean. Great bed, better than most higher end hotels. Very nice staff.

Honestly wasn't expecting much, but the room was nice enough. Didn't feel dingy, had a working fridge and microwave. Something was up with the TV but I also never asked about it either, so hard to blame anybody, didn't bother me much. There was a nice lil pavilion by the water too. Great place if you're doing MetLife/American Dream and just need a place to crash.

I was disturbed multiple times a night by banging from random folks on the Hotel and to much commotion going on early In the morning.

Tv lost signal out of no where and just sat in silence all night.

We had decided to book this motel based on the reviews, price, and proximity to the American Dream Mall.
It's a decent moderately priced motel, the staff is most accommodating in providing extra towels and services as needed, when asked. There is ample parking. Our room had a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, and TV. For the most part, the room was very clean. Our beds were comfortable. The biggest problem we had was that the toilet was constantly backing up in our room during our stay. Though the problem was addressed by the motel maintenance (numerous times) it continued to do so. Bathtub also drained slowly. And-it could have been cleaned better. Overall, a decent place to stay, except that the plumbing problems do need to be addressed......

Me and my family stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. But we couldn’t stay the second night. We felt super uncomfortable; the heater in the room was not working, temperature was 23. Super Cold!!! The light from the vanity was broken part of the room was dark!. Only 2 towels. We pay more to have a nicer room but it was not worth. We left a day before the check out!
If you’re traveling with toddlers don’t stayed here! It’s worth paying more in a nicer place than paying cheap and get a bad experience.

Beverly at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. gave us easy directions how to get around. the rooms are clean and the service was prompt. If we return we will have to come back now that we know how to get around.

Great location if you’re attending a football game at MetLife Stadium. It’s an old building so it’s not “fresh” looking. Room is partially renovated with flooring and newer carpet strips. Getting to your second floor room or 3rd floor is an adventure—a maze of walkways with limited stairways. But location is good: Dunkin Donuts and Subway, Burger King across the street. Easy Uber to nearby mega mall which is also the covered walking ramp to stadium. Price was right. And a nice backyard up against the Hackensack River for a good view.

I need to get a hotel in my limited budget and red roof was my best option under the circumstances. The facilities were pretty worn out, but at least I could get a clean sleep. The biggest challenge was the broken lock - the digital key works well but the classic lock did nothing. I was frightened as it was located the end of the 1st floor, the open parking lot is just right behind my dubious door. Nothing happened after all. Also, if you don't have a vehicle you will find it takes 15 min walk from the nearest bus stop. It is challenging to commute to the city in daily basis spending 3 hours on the road for a round trip.

Overall it was a good stay but not a very quiet one early in the morning as the gardener would start using his leaf blowing machine at around 7:30 AM

The place overall was great. I read some ridiculous reviews prior to our stay but since we had already booked, we went anyway. We find out those reviews are not true. From the first night till the last night, our entire experience was great. Room is clean and tidy, sheets are clean, room has microwave and refrigerator. The surrounding areas are clean and safe. So close to Manhattan and to all the attractions so that is a plus. We definitely recommend this place and will be staying there again. Thanks Red Roof and Expedia!

The trip was awesome. The Hotel is fine taking into consideration price and accommodations. Easy to go and return from NYC. Has some food stores in the front, lacks of a Market closer. Over all the hotel is fine.

I know this hotel gets a lot of mixed reviews so I will try and cover all bases. First, the reception was amazing. The front desk was super helpful. There were two guys there who were warm and inviting-same for the late night woman (Spanish lady, really nice). Please note after a certain time the front desk turns into a walk-up window. There are soda and snack vending machines and an ATM as well in this area, along with a lot of traveling brochures etc.
Location CANNOT BE BEAT. PERIOD. You are across the street from Dunkin, Subway, Wendy's, and a liquor store. I think a new Dim Sum place is there and a small cafe/bistro also. Buses to NYC are conveniently running through the wonderful town of Secaucus...or you can drive if the traffic is not too bad! The major roadways surround you...so your location is PERFECT.
Ok, the room...we stayed in room 108. It was FAREEEEZING outside (and I'm a Jersey girl) but the cold was compounded by the winds from the Hackensack River right behind the hotel. BUT some kind soul had the HEAT already turned on in the room. It was the best ever to walk into the warmth.
Ok the bed was super comfy (King sized) the room was small BUT clean and cozy. Hubby and I just wanted a night out so we weren't traveling heavy; one bag total. Sink was modern...showers a little dated but CLEAN. And NO microwave or FRIDGE sooo be prepared and bring a cooler or whatever.
They gave us a courtesy late check out of 12 noon...make sure you take advantage of that!

The hotel is not at all good with respect to the price being charged. Bathrooms were not at all clean. Tub was not clean. The smell was not pleasant after entering the rooms. The staff were also rude and not helpful. No water available. No complementary breakfast available. Would advise not to be staying here.

Property had molded pillows and floor boards were coming off flooring. The blankets had bunch of yellow spots.

Location was nice. Bus stop is close by.
Could have been better with property condition. We put cleaning tag at door everyday but not taken care of.
Reception seems not polite and welcoming. Below the expectation.
