Great position, nice hotel. Charge a fee for late check out (11am). Housekeeping is an additional charge. Didn't care about that but would have liked the coffee and milk replenished. Good room amenities.

Was very comfortable. I also messed up somthing that they could of been really awful about and they were very nice and kind once realising my situation (and why I messed up in the first place). Beds are very comfortable. Not too noisy. Parking can be an issue though. Not a whole lot available.

Great little get away and stay. Room was a nice size and good modern facilities

I booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my partners birthday and a milestone in our relationship. I'd stayed here previously and loved it, so i booked the same room, except this time i think they put us in the storage space for the room i stayed in last year.
I paid $610. The room was so small we had to move furniture to get the baggage trolley through the door. The couch looked like it came from an op shop. Condition of the room was disgusting, silicone hanging off the spa, damaged cornices, old, stained, patched up vanity, could hardly pull the shower button up and almost needed a ladder to get out of the spa/shower. Very dangerous. The toilet is old and discoloured. The bed is rock hard. And the tiny balcony was so hot we couldnt enjoy it. I could go on but I'll run out of characters.
The hotel charged my credit card the day before check-in, when i opted to pay at property (with cash, mind you THEY DONT ACCEPT CASH and we were NOT told they were cashless or i would have gone elsewhere), which left my credit card overdrawn and will remain overdrawn while the amount is pending a refund for 10 days. I was also overcharged by $10 for "bank fees" even though i said i am using my savings account, it was processed as a debit card. There are never parks available in the basement, "first come first served" we're told.
I will NEVER return. I am absolutely gutted and had the worst weekend away that I've ever had.

The wifi was excellent
The pool, spa were great .
Just not enough parking under the building, but we got a park, but was not game to move the car. The tram was very handy, plus also was the beach .
Had a great holiday break

Absolutely amazing stay and cannot praise the wonderful woman at reception. After an 8 hour drive, she was so polite and lovely to chat to.
Will definitely be back for our next trip!

I have stayed at this hotel several times now. Staff are helpful, rooms great, the restaurant is now open again. Very close to the trams.

Was a very nice stay. Only thing was that the beds were on wheels on floor boards and there were no wheel locks. This meant that the beds were rolling around.

Staff need some lessons in customer service! No personality skills whatsoever not a hello how are you , Thankyou or anything remotely polite! Parking terrible don’t bother nowhere to do laundry like it says property had a shower curtain which made us feel dirty, musty smell in unit but no one there seemed to care they just turn up for a pay check sad the way the world is going.

The pool was great, upgrading the internet would be a cheap but great investment for all future guests.
Rooms were spacious and views were great

Perfect stop over, wonderful friendly staff, comfortable room. Central to Surfers Paradise.
Close to to the strip, a wonderful place to catch up with my daughter and her partner who live on the coast there.

Great place. We had a freshly renovated room that was spacious. Full size fridge and microwave were essential for us. Car park filled quickly if you weren’t back early from your day out.

Very nice stay.

Good location, friendly enough staff. Charged $2.50 per towel to have clean ones…. Truly bizarre. And car parking is hit and miss for availability. Was super cheap so to be expected.

First day woken up 9am to a loud drill the kept going to 10:30am then rest of the day was quiet second day woken up by house keeping at the door by 9am plus the reception refused to help through these issues and not to meation not having a fridge to store food in once checked out resulting in a mad dash to store our food instead of enjoying the last day plus a massive disappointment was not having use of the spa

For the price, the hotel was decent. The room and bathroom were clean, lots of amenities. The pool was area was ok, spent an afternoon sunbathing by it which was nice but the pool itself was a bit leafy/dirt and vegetation floating around.
The only thing that I really wasn’t pleased with - on our morning of check out, we accidentally slept through our alarm and were woken 10:00am on the dot by a cleaner coming in. Of course that was our own fault, so we rushed to get out as quickly as possible, but only 15 minutes later someone came aggressively banging on our door. We opened it to him and he was unnecessarily rude, raising his voice at us. Disappointing service, as these things happen and people can be late by accident but we didn’t need to be spoken to like that because of it

Great location, lovely resort

Stayed here for the v8 supercars. Granted early check in which was a bonus however the rest pf the place was pretty average. Paid near 300 a night for tiny room with two single beds. Was somewhat clean except for the bonus used sock left in the corner. The deck came with a view of a shrub that had another bonus 3 used socks lodged in it, sadly none matching.
Shower screen broken, roof fascia failing and vanity unit broken. New tv fitted during our stay, with bonus white patch in dead centre of screen.
Luckily consumed enough alcohol to make it less painful

Great location and easily accessible!! Nice clean rooms, just need to have an iron there to make it perfect, had a conference and could not iron my shirt in the morning and no one was at reception until 8am. But the experience was perfect!!

Property very old and run down, have to wash-up and remove own rubbish from room, one eating place that is only open a few nights, fridge stunk like fish, main issue very limited parking, have to park and walk from a fair distance.

It was good for a short stay. In house restaurant only opens on Saturday and Sunday so had to look around for dining options.

I cant believe the prices they charge for a room here. Our room dirty walls scuffs everywhere, dust and cob webs. Hadnt been cleaned properly in a long time. The bathroom was terrible didnt look like it been cleaned at all the basin was dirty or stained and cracked and hasnt been replaced. The shower had hairs in it and moul/scum build up on the bottom of the glass. I mentioned it to the receptionist after checking in that the cleanliness was lacking and all she said was I'll pass it on to house keeping for next time.

Walking distance was great, very convenient to transport, beach and shops. If I was critical the room looked a little tired. Perhaps a refresh!!!!

Overall the facilities and potential is all there. Rooms are newly renovated and new, bed is comfortable place is spacious. The downsides, there was no coffee or tea provided but milk was … the shampoo that was given was just a bottle that was meant to hang from the wall but was just left there, the ‘spa’ was freezing cold and no way to warm it up. Spa was more like a kids pool than a spa as it was only a touch warmer than the main pool. Overall the place had ‘potential’ to be excellent and great with some small tweaks and more attention to detail.

I used the Sovereign over the weekend as my base as I visited old friends around the Gold Coast. Check in was a breeze and the staff were lovely and helpful. Hotel itself and the room itself was lovely, clean and well presented. Plenty of parking and in a good position so I could park my car and walk/catch public transport for the weekend. I’ll definitely be back!!

Property was out of the hustle of the main Surfers Paradise area so had a quiet night sleep.
We were in a 1 bedroom apartment, plenty of room however the 'kitchen area' was very outdated & run down. Benches looked like they were pulled out of an office & half renovated.
Toilet was terrible & basically didn't flush even after 3 or 4 attempts each time.
Pool & spa area is beautiful, the restaurant smelled amazing even though we didn't dine there.
Was only a quick 1 night stay & for the price was really good, just the toilet needs fixing.
Think it was room 126 from memory.

Parking isn’t ideal as first come first serve with not much parking. Bath/shower wasn’t very clean but the rest of the room was and so was the premises

Great facilities, kind staff. Highly recommended!
