My first time in Prague, I had no idea how narrow the roads are and the GPS doesn’t work properly. It took me an hour to find the hotel and had to walk 15 minutes with suitcases to find the hotel.

Lovely hotel. Close to all the ateactions. Huge rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended!

The guy that took our luggage and later brought us to the room was outstanding. His English wasn’t the best but good enough to get us settled. Finding the hotel by foot from the train station while pulling suitcases on the cobblestone sidewalks of the ancient narrow winding roads crowded with tourists was no so easy. After a few days of exploring, we could easily find our way around the area. Next time however I would prefer a hotel located not so close to the town square with the clock tower but closer to the Charles Bridge and/or a metro station. The room was comfortable and clean but not immaculate. The sofa had stains and should have been removed and replaced. The floor had scratches and really needs a good buffing. When I pay top dollar for a room I expect excellence. For the most part the room was very quiet. The breakfast each morning was good. Hot items were hot and the cold were chilled. Coffee station was too small and created a bottleneck. Juices were too watered down and not satisfying. When I asked for decaf coffee the response was, espresso or americano, and that was very appreciated. Many restaurants are nearby for lunch and dinner but beware of their ratings before deciding and make reservations during busy hours with those having more that four stars. We did not ask the front desk to schedule a ride to the airport but simply scheduled an Uber ride the day before departure. Since we checked out at 7:00 am we had no issues with a driver coming

Lovely, comfortable & beautiful hotel. It was in a great location. Buffet breakfast was perfect! The staff was very nice!

An old world hotel, very charming. Our suite had painted ceiling beams, and was very large, with lots of storage. The bathroom was also large but really needs new tiles, and an updated shower so that the water doesn’t go all over the floor.
The staff are very nice and eager to help with anything. The location is ideal, in old town but just off the main square (which can be noisy). Breakfasts are great. A lovely place to stay.

Everything was over the top great.

The hotel was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful, the accommodation was immaculately clean and in a great location. The only thing that prevents me giving this a five star rating is the breakfast provided as part of our B&B package, which wasn’t great. Hot items were lukewarm and some items like fruit juice and coffee were clearly either watered down or weak. If you arrived towards the end of service then food items ran out. The internal downstairs room used for breakfast was a little cramped and oppressive. Therefore my current recommendation would be to stay room only and purchase meals as required.

The hotel felt incredibly opulent and the service was top notch! Our bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The location is perfect as you are only a 5 minute walk from the Old Town square. We would definitely stay here again!

Location was right in the heart of Old Town, easily walkable to sites, restaurants, and activities. The staff were all nice and welcoming. The room was very clean. Unfortunately we found the beds to be rock hard, and the air conditioning did not work which meant we had to open the windows to the restaurant below where people were smoking regularly.

What a beautiful time in Prague, and this hotel did not disappoint. It is so beautiful and close to everything. I would highly recommend staying here.

The Iron Gate is an amazing hotel. It is about a 60 second walk to the Astrinomical Clock so it is in the heart of where you want to be in Prague. The staff, well let's just say that the hotel is five stars and the staff matches the expectations - had an early flight including a 4:45 AM taxi, the staff met us at the elevator to help get the luggage into the taxi and hand us a boxed breakfast.. My third stay there and whenever I am in Prague, I will be there again. On the con side, the breakfast buffet is decent, not spectacular and the shower is terrible as it is a hand wand anchored to the lip of the utb you are in, not a great shower - if you are a bath person, you are, however, in for a treat. Nevertheless, the Iron Gate does not disappoint and it is my only choice in the most beautiful city in the world. Quick tip, when exiting the hotel, about 100 yards to the right is the Kavárna Kočičí Praha, a cat cafe. If you are a cat person, this place will make your day, call ahead and make reservations as it is hard to get into this place.

We had a lovely long weekend staying in the duplex suit. A beautiful hotel hidden away yet close to the action, nothing was too far away. Bursting with character with modern conveniences, historical and beautiful.
Nice restaurant, very good food but I would say some of the staff come across a little abrupt. This is the Czech way apparently according to our guide. Smiles are not compulsory.
I would certainly stay again as it is a great base to explore the city.

We had a great stay and the cleaning was excellent, we both can be alitle chaotic and everything we left in the room was lined up on the counter. We had a great laugh when we got back to the room and saw it 😅.
Excellent breakfast, very cozy restaurant.

It's rare that a property ticks all the boxes. This one does and goes further. Really nice find and I'd highly recommend it.

Beautiful fully modernized 14th century building. Biggest, most elegant room ever! Great walkable location to all the sights, restaurants and shops.
Staff great except didn’t adjust for missed breakfast last day due to early departure.

Stayed in Jr Suite. Lots of room and space. Very stylish and fitting ambiance for Prague Centre. Very quiet at night. Great location for seeing the sites. Practically all the major sites are within easy walking distance. The staff was extremely friendly.

Hotel is perfect. Unfortunately, check in not so much. I booked on hotels.com for 2 people and somehow it did not show in the system on arrival. Hotel proceeded to charge an significant amount to allow my wife to stay in the room with me.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over a weekend. I stayed in an Iron Gate Suite which all in all was beautiful, roomy and felt really original. The room was beautifully decorated and alot of the original design and fixtures and fittings remained. The only two negative things were 1) TVs could be upgraded to allowed streaming to from mobile / tablet devices. Yes I wasnt in Prague to watch tv but at night i just fancied an hour of something to watch and the tv didnt have any English channels and it was too old to stream / screen mirror too. 2) secondly the mattress on the bed ... it was like it was made of bricks. I felt like the scene in Father Ted when he goes to jump into a nice comfy bed and instead of mattress its a pile of bricks. I ended up having to sleep on the duvet rather than under it to get any sort of comfort.
The location and cleanliness of the hotel are its two biggest features in my eyes.
Also dont go for the breakfast option. The buffet breakfast wasnt the best ive had in a 4/5 star hotel. In fact ive had better breakfasts in 3 star hotels. Save your money and eat out for breakfast at the many many close cafes and restaurants. They are extremely well priced and better.
I suppose I should end in answering the all important question, would I stay again. Its a hard one for me as the location made the hotel really but I do like a good nights sleep and I didn't feel I got one here ... still ... i would stay again simply for location and character

We loved this historic hotel. The location was amazing and we could walk to all the tourist sites to fill our weekend stay. It is very difficult to park. You need to drive into a no car zone so that was a little stressful. The staff was great and friendly. We were booked into a room different than what we had paid for but they were able to switch our rooms.

It was close to all old town venues. Great breakfast and restaurant

Had a ground floor with little traffic to annoy and room darkening curtains for the door. There were no windows in room and A/C needed adjusting as heating was too hot. The lication is fabulous-could'nt ask for better. Walked everywhere. The included breakfast was fine; however you have to walk thru the kitchen to get there.

Perfect traditional hotel with luxury. So close to the square and the bridge . A perfect Christmas

Beautiful hotel. Clean and in a great location. The hotel's restaurant was amazing as well.

This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location in Prague, easily within walking distance of most tourist areas.
Hotel is spotless and the food is amazing.
The hotel is 5* but I would rate the service at 3*, we asked for extra pillows when we arrived, and we were told they may not have any. We asked 3 more times and eventually got one more.
All double beds have single duvets, which is quite strange.
We asked for milk multiple times during our stay, this was presented as almost a hassle to get, and on our last night the front desk staff was just plain rude about it.
Breakfast was included, but not in the restaurant, you are taken through the kitchen to a dark room, and although breakfast is served until 10am, they don’t replenish any food after 9am.
Food in the restaurant was beautiful, but I would advise booking in advance of travel, as staff seemed annoyed that I had asked for a table any of the one nights of our stay.

Second stay at this hotel; the suites are lovely, provided you are in a high up room away from the street and dining areas. The staff are great and very welcoming; breakfast is good and plentiful.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel right on the Historic center. So quiet at night event though is so centrally located.
EXCELLENT restaurant and the bar is absolutely gorgeous.
Can't wait to come back again!

Historical, exposed berms in rooms, extremely romantic, unbelievable deserts in the bar..
Great location with a minutes walk of historic old town center.
Staff was amazing, everyone knew who you were and what room you were in without saying anything even after the first day.
This is a must stay again type of property.

The hotel is right in the historic old town, a few steps away from the astronomical clock and square, lovely staff, very nice restaurant and loved the breakfasts. We visited for our daughter's 19th birthday and the goliath suite was perfect and pretty good value as it meant she had her own bedroom instead of sleeping on a sofa bed or being isolated in another room.

Good stay with lovely restaurant. Nice decor with friendly staff. Ideal location. Only concern was room's aircon - was too chilly for October weather & in-room thermostat control doesn't control the temperature so of no use.

This hotel is in a great location and the Deer restaurant attached as well as the breakfast buffet is all very good. The room itself was no where near as nice as the pictures or the price lead you to believe. The room was small for a suite and both the bed and furniture were uncomfortable (hard as a rock). We also lost power in the room when trying to turn on air conditioning.
Like I said the location was perfect for walking to all the sites just a little underwhelming in the room
