Our new favorite Hawaiian resort by far and maybe the best tropical location resort we've visited. The 2 bedroom ocean-view villa was exceptional. Gorgeous views over the pool and ocean. Beautiful decor, comfy furniture, and especially the amazing balcony with daybed, loungers and large dining table. Kitchen well stocked. We could have cooked complex meals and would have had everything we needed. Coffee was very good provided in the room with a very nice carafe style coffee maker. The resort grounds are beautiful. The pool is the most amazing pool we've ever seen. Very private with lots of hidden lagoons. Loungers around the pool were outstanding. Large with very thick cushions. Towels poolside were the only thing I found lacking, stained and small. Loved the adults only pool but no staff seemed to do anything to limit kids access so there were occasionally kids screaming through the pool. Also, I found it odd the entire top level of the pool complex isn't adults only since there is a hot tub and a little lagoon area to the right of the Serenity pool which was full of families and loud kids which made the Serenity pool not so serene. Pool service was good not great. Definitely not attentive. In room dining food and service excellent. Valet/Bell services were excellent. Very helpful, always addressing us by name. Loved the private transpiration within the Kapalua resort. Very convenient for dining and the occasional run up to the general store.

Great location, but service is not like a 5star, they charged me a spa massage which I didn’t have, luckily when I double check my email bill found out, remember to double your invoice after check out.

We planned this trip as a honeymoon destination. It was amazing from start to finish. The ocean view was spectacular. We even saw a few whales easily from the property. The staff was amazing. Overall, one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. Will happily come back in the future!

Amazing resort with fantastic rooms, pool and easy access to calm beach with great snorkeling. Service was great throughout with attention to children especially. As expected, food and drinks were pricey but there were several other options in the surrounding area.

The Montage Kapalua is a luxurious property that really went above and beyond to make us feel catered to. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly from the valets who greeted us by name to the pool attendants that were constantly refilling our ice water. We absolutely loved our room and appreciated the complimentary upgrade to an ocean view room. My husband and I are already looking into which Montage property to visit next.

The Montage is a wonderful facility, with an excellent staff. Our room (one bedroom suite) was spacious and well appointed. The grounds and pools were beautiful. Our only disappointment was in the noise created by young children -- essentially unattended (parents at the bar, not paying any concern) -- running around and screaming in the area adjacent to the restaurant's outdoor seating. Not just a 'one time' incident, or for a few moments. Rather, for nearly the entire time of our dinner. Back and forth -- chasing each other, even multiple times brushing by out table -- for over ninety minutes. It was difficult to have a conversation -- and it certainly ruined the mood of the evening. Later, we went to play billiard in the bar and the children then came and ran around their parents' table, still shrieking and screaming. We understand that children cannot always be kept quiet. But, it would be helpful if parents displayed even a modicum of concern for the experience of others in the vicinity.

Resort and staff are outstanding! We decided to go beyond our normal budget and, as good as it all was, it's difficult to fully justify the high price. We have had almost as good for considerably less. If you're looking for a top end experience and willing to pay top dollar, Montage is great.

Stayed for one week with family of 4 in a 2 bedroom residence. Outstanding suite, property is meticulously maintained with terrific staff. Have stayed at Ritz Carlton Kapalua and 4 Seasons Wilea - Montage Kapalua Bay exceeds both across the board. Expensive but so worth it!
