Very expensive for only a basic room and very noisy between rooma

We loved staying in the cabins of panamint springs. Perfect for our stay. So clean and great for stargazing at night. Everything was seamless from check in to check out. The restaurant onsite had a great breakfast and wonderful service. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Hotel never answered messages to clarify glamping beds configuration a week before arrival. Had to find alternative lodging. Waiting for an answer to my cancellation and refund requests.

funky clean hideaway in the panamint valley outside of death valley. has cabins, tent cabins, rv spaces, a bar, a restaurant that serves basically fast food, a general store, and a gas station. inexpensive considering the prices in death valley, AND, very friendly employees.

This is an extremely old cottage in basically the middle of nowhere. The bedding and bathroom was clean but its really really old. Not much they can do with this ancient building. Staff was nice and we wanted to be right at Death Valley.

Terrific.

Panamint Springs resort was a nice place to stay. Checkin was at the gas station. The process was easy and all the people we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We had some food to warm up, at the gas station was a microwave we were allowed to use. Cabin we stayed at for two nights was small but plenty of room for the two of us It was clean, warm and the bathroom was also clean. The view of the stars was outstanding with very little lights. With highway nearby, the noise was no existent. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was good, personable staff and reasonably priced

The only perk was that I didn't have to drive 60 miles after a long day in the park.
My biggest gripe is that we had to smell septic all night, and the shower was clogged, so we had to stand in a pool of water and the hot water seeping from the shower all night. Also, the main air vent where the smell was being pushed through couldn't be shut off, so needless to say, it sucked. Not a very healthy experience.

Got a room, couldn't sleep because the walls are super thin. I could even hear quite conversations and snoreing. No air, space heater, bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom is carpeted and the floor stays wet because the shower head points strait at the curtain its a tiny closet shower so not meant for a larger person. No WiFi except at the gas station and restaurant. It's better at the gas station. Not much for food choices also no way to cook or store food in the room, no grills available to use. Gas station has a microwave.
Nearest grocery store is an hour away. I pretty much seen all there is to see in the 1st full day. There is another restaurant about 35 minutes in the opposite direction of the grocery store. Great area for star gazing but besides a few hiking trials theres not much going on. The trial with the water fall is one of the closest, there other two others all closed to cars so you have to hike alot longer to get there. I only checked out the one. The other areas with trails about forty five minutes to an hour and a half away. Once in a lifetime was enough for me to visit the area.

Beautiful views! I stayed in their mountain view cabin and it was great! It was basically a tiny home minus the kitchen. There was a refrigerator, which I wasn't expecting, so that was a plus. The bed was comfy, water was hot, there was AC, heater, two ceiling fans, and window covers. There were so many windows in the entry area where you could see the mountains. I do wish there was a chair inside (the little sofa thing they had was stained and old looking so I didn't sit on it), not just outside. They had an outdoor picnic table with a firepit. On the porch were was an outdoor bar top with two chairs so you can take in the views. There are no windows in the bedroom and for someone who loves darkness, it was great! There are tons of outlets as well in the living area; there are some in the bedroom area, but they were covered by the bed. I was able to plug in my power strip and move the bed a bit. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, though I would bring a higher clearance car as the road to the cabin is just rocks that made it difficult for my honda fit to drive on; there were several large rocks in the middle of the "road". A little pricey, but well worth it.

UGH, so disgusting, our room didn’t look anything like the photos! Old & filthy carpeting in bedroom & bathroom, edges of room & corners were covered in dirt & dust, wet & moldy carpeting in bathroom. Large gap at the bottom of door, let in cold air & who knows what insects or rodents! Rickety space heater kept falling over.

The Queen cabin is very small. It was very clean and updated. Things you need to know staying there: amenities are few, no hair dryer, coffee pot, cups for taking pills or chairs in the room. There is a patio with chairs a fire pit, yes, but no wood unless you bring it or buy it. Hooks on the wall would be helpful for jackets since there are no closets!! WiFi never worked in our room. It did not work for me in the restaurant either!!

Very bare bones high priced room with no coffee maker, fridge, microwave or breakfast. It was clean.

Clean. TINY. No closet. One door hanger. No internet unless you are at the gas station or restaurant. It’s pretty much a bed, tiny shower and loo.

Bare bones motel. No fridge, microwave, hair dryer or tv. Wifi only worked at adjoining restaurant, not in the room. Space heater for heat. Room was clean with very strong odor of bleach: had to open the window and door and leave to air it out. Fitted bottom sheet on bed did not fit the mattress and the corners kept popping off. Very overpriced for what you get.

Stayed here to see the Geminids meteor shower. I love this area. It's much more glampingvthan i remember from 25 years ago. The cabins were expensive but a delight after driving hours to get to death valley. Staff was friendly. I wS outfitted with my own cooking and camp kitchen. Red lights for nighttime seeing and an excellent time was had.

It was a very small room but worked for us. Inside of Death Valley National park, there are not many affordable hotel rooms but this one was.

We enjoyed our stay in a comfortable, clean room, with a clean, private bathroom, and a warm heater. We also appreciated two water bottles before we visited Death Valley.

Very convenient location with amazing views, friendly staff, great restaurant, and gas on-site was huge.

The cabin I stayed at was clean and cute and quite small. Noise from the other cabin. The shower was so nice.

Great place to stay before heading to Death Valley National Park. Definitely coming back.

Great location overlooking the valley. One room cabins are fairly basic.

Not fancy but that is okay, great place with nice people and great casual restaurant. Would recommend.

The room was clean and nice. Not worth the price though. There is no internet or tv in the room. The room had a space heater but it was very cold. The power went out 4 times during the night. The fan in our room was wobbling n noisy. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

The room is no frills which is what we needed. Bedding and bathroom were very clean. The motel is located about an hour's plus drive from most of the sites in the National Park. The staff were very kind. The adjoining restaurant is pretty spendy. My husband and I had avocado toast with egg for breakfast and coffee = $52 w/out tip.

Property was located right next to Death Valley and has an excellent restaurant. Love the breakfast!

I loved this location. I stayed in a cabin (#18) and found a very, very clean accommodation with a comfortable bed, a well-equipped little bathroom and a metal fenced patio with a gate and great views! Since I was traveling with my dog, I thought the patio was about the most convenient thing I have ever seen in an accommodation. My only complaints are: when the duplex neighbors arrived, it was super noisy while they were settling in (it has adjoining doors, so it could all be rented by a family or friends and that would help) and inside it would be nice if there was a chair -- any small one would do. Otherwise -- excellent. It might be hard to find your site in the dark -- best to arrive in daylight.

This property was excellent considering that it’s located in Death Valley. My family and I had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the employees were friendly. There is no WiFi in the rooms, but as I said, we’re in the middle of nowhere so that’s to be expected.

Checkin is done at a grocery next door, and it's closed at 9PM. After 9, the staffs are gone and the place is dark so I could not figure out how to check in.

It's clean and quiet. Great view. Good for nature life.

Easy to book, easy to find and easy to check-in/check-out.

Knowing that the hotel rooms are very limited in Death Valley, and i is better than camping.
If there are not much differences in room rates, try the Inn or Ranch at Death Valley first.

I was surprised to find that our room was downgraded from king bed room to queen bed room.

Property gave us the creeps! Restaurant was mediocre! Tent was a joke! Cot with a pad, sheets, blanket and a pillow ! That’s it in the tent! No lights! No electricity! Rip off! Left and rented another place!

Great food at the restaurant! Campground was clean & quiet.

Panamint Sprungs is one in a kind resort. Not only are the staff so friendly and the rooms was very clean. I like the rustic ambiance, that removes you from the huzzle and buzzle of everyday life. No TV I love it, no phone service, it gives you the possibility to enjoy the uniqueness of this property and its amazing display of nature with it's quiet and relaxing energy.
They do have WiFi though in case you need to stay in touch. To me this place feels like home. Basic, simple, friendly and clean.

All the way excellent

Our room as a disaster. The door did not close properly so we had numerous bugs in our room- those that flew as well as a large cricket. The swamp cooler was it blowing any air and the fan could not have been any louder. I ended up with numerous bites on my face and neck. I could show the pictures of some of the bugs but why? The toilet seat was broken. When we checked in we attempted to bring these issues to the attention of the clerk/gas station attendant and cashier at the store, but he seemed nonplussed and was closing for the night and we left before anything opened in the morning
