First time taking my girls (10 & 16)on a vacation. I read review after review on hotels on the seawall specifically looking for breakfast included and safe area, with somewhat of an ocean view. I was terrified to see the room before we got there due to some of the reviews that were posted. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in! We felt completely safe. The grocery store was right next door practically in the same parking lot and a fishing pier across the street. Air conditioner works great! Not as close to pleasure pier as I thought but not a far drive at all. Stayed 3 nights and no issues at all. The weather wasn’t great so can’t really judge the view. We got the two queen with partial view. Never saw one roach which was surprising with the humidity there. Everyone there was super nice and not crackheads. The elevator is a bit scary at times but never saw my life flash before my eyes lol. Yes the bathtub was a little backed up but after seeing how much sand we tracked in on day one, I’m surprised it wasn’t worse. I watched cleaning people cleaning rooms multiple times a day so I know they are cleaned. We did not ask for cleaning service but if you notify them in the morning they will clean the room. We just asked for extra TP and towels when the cleaning carts went by daily. If you’re used to fancy 5 star hotels, this place probably isn’t for you but for the price, I was very happy with what we got. Got to spend more on having fun and less on the room!

This Hotel is Amazing! My family had an awesome time staying here! I would highly recommend this hotel to any family looking for a nice affordable place to stay here in Galveston TX! Service was super kind and helpful!

We had reserved 2 rooms for 2 days prior to a cruise. The location was good, which was why we selected it. The hotel was old but looked like there had been some updating. Check in at front desk was easy and service was good. Pool was clean. Rooms looked clean but you could see areas that had not been vacuumed. In addition, our friends discovered cockroaches in their room. The found one (see attached photo) and then later that day and in the night discovered several more. This was a huge turnoff for booking the hotel 8n the future.

Every vending machine took your money and didn’t give you anything. I put money in 4 different machines and the machine kept the money and gave you nothing.

We stayed here last summer and absolutely loved it! This time was terrible, it was dirty. Even after asking them to come in and completely clean it. Still gross. Hair all over the bathroom. Totally disgusting. Really sad because the location is perfect!

Please think twice about staying here. Elevators didn’t work. Beds are as hard as sleeping on the floor. Lamps had something black all around the bottom of the shade. No towels in the room except a hand towel. I called the front desk to ask for towels and was told we had to walk 1/4 mile to get them at the front desk. Toilet was slow to flush. Noisey from the outside. We didn’t waste our time with eating breakfast there. No dirty laundry bags. The list keeps going but hopefully you get the hint.

Great location and friendly staff. Open concept walkway to the rooms allows for view of the beach. However the room was not clean. My feet were black walking on the floor. Fridge, doorknobs and light switches need to be cleaned. The floor in the bathroom behind the door was black with dirt or mold. We were excited about the location, the staff were very friendly and helpful, but so disappointed in the lack of clean conditions. Also, the elevator was not reliable.

The staff was awesome, very friendly and welcoming. However the room was not great at all. There was a thick layer of dust on pretty much every surface, the shower was horid. The water pressure was great, but the shower head was ready to fall from the wall. Same with the lower drain for the shower. On top of ot, there was mold above the shower and on the lights in the shower.

GOOD-Got room early. BAD-Elevator in desperate need of repairs. BAD-Upon arrival, property had luggage carts parked on lawn and nobody using them. BAD-Found out next morning there were no towels in the room. When got to front desk, was told I should've check for them when I first got to room. NO, This should've been done beforehand. BAD - Road traffic, especially emergency vehicles very load on beach side of building.

Pool was not open and was very green. Shower water was brown when turned on and had to let it run for a while to get clear water. Other room reeked of marijuana and the other family we were traveling with had to change rooms due to the smell.

So expensive for the low quality type of hotel. I honestly wanted to change hotels. I did not feel in a clean bed, bathroom, Room or hotel. Breakfast was included and I walked away when I saw the food. Hallways dirty, it was more like a motel type.

The night front desk person was nice. The room on the other hand was DISGUSTING!!!!!! Pillows were terrible, stained sheets, mold stains on the pillow cases. We were there less than 2 hours and checked out.

We checked into our room to find only 2 bath towels, no hand or washclothes. We asked twice to have our room serviced as we stayed 8 nites, no one came. We took our own trash out and got fresh towels from the desk. They serve the same thing every day for breakfast, that certainly got boring. The best thing about this place is they are nextdoor to a grocery store.

Older property. This is more of a MOTEL. If you are expecting a motel it would be fine. If you expect a HOTEL - you will be disappointed! Clean but very, very small. Thin walls - can hear street noise and neighbors talking in their rooms. Old & very outdated.

Check-in was supposed to be a 4. After waiting in line for over 30 minutes to check-in we were told to come back at 6 because our room wasn't clean. When we were finally allowed to check-in there was an unattended cleaning cart outside of our room. I am not sure they were even finished cleaning as the bathroom wasn't very clean looking. There was only 1 working ice machine in the whole hotel in the lobby area. The elevator area had no lights so you were waiting in the dark. Overall I was not impressed with the management, maintenance or customer service of this establishment. The best thing about this hotel was the location.

Not exactly what we were expecting. The TV remote was missing the back which wasn't a big deal but I contacted front desk so we didn't get charged and they said they would replace it for us. They brought a second remote. MISSING the back lol. Hair dryer didn't work. They brought a second one. Looked like orange soda was spilled ALL over it and sticky. Breakfast was ok. Water faucet on shower is backwards. So it was very confusing at first. You can hear EVERYTHING from the room next door. Elevator SUCKS. No ice machines. Cameras everywhere which is good. But the stairways don't have one at all. Cleaning staff is extremely rude. I'm a very good location though.

Upon arrivingbwe has to go to Walmart and purchase a candle because the room smelled so bad. Their were NO drinking glasses anywhere. Just disposable small plastic cups. We also had to purchase drinking glasses. Behind the commode there was active mold. The A/C worked perfect. The location was perfect. The bed was comfortable.

I have stay at many hotels and this is one of the most dirtiest. There were bed sheet stains and the room odor is horrific. It smells like public bathroom urinal. Unfortunately, there was no other romm availble since late check in. Dogs were barking constantly.

We would never stay here again. The hotel is very run down no matter how many coats of paint they use. I will say that the room was fairly clean. However, the outside hallways were very trashy. There was also a homeless person sleeping in the stairway and evidently using the bathroom there.

Not more than average in our opinion. Wind and rain, not hotels fault. things that was their fault: 1) elevator non functioning on check in day. 2) bed spread had stains. 3) no towels or wash clothes in bathroom. 4) tub & shower wall had large cracks around faucet. I don't know where it was coming from, but there was light showing through the cracks at night. 4) key cards failed to work on day 2 and 3 of our 4 day stay. 5) elevator went up and down on days 2,3 and 4. However it was jerking, stopped abruptly and loudly on floors and the door opened and almost closed several times prior to fully closing even while pushing the "close door" button. 6) That's enough for our stay. Looks like the renovation was done on the cheap or just never finished. Room 309.

First roach in room, was moved to another room and left grandsons jacket in the first room. When asked the front desk, no one had it which means a maid stole the jacket and took it home. Front desk lady said, I just work here not caring about my grandson going home cold with no jacket.
