Loved this place. Welcomed with a wide variety of treats. Room was comfortable and spacious. Tastefully decorated. Convenient and quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was wonderful! Highly recommend!!!

House and staff are fantastic, Unfortunately like many old historical neighborhoods with grand old houses there are some areas close by that I would not wander about. This property and immediate surrounding area is safe and well tended. The property itself is very secure. I have stayed many times and it is a favor of mine. Shreveport has been rated as a dangerous city - common sense generally prevails.

The website said complimentary wine and the mgr knew nothing about it although there was a small bar with hard liquor. Nothing was explained about how to get ice and water. Overall, it was a charming place and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The propety was an ellegant throwback to a bygone era. Our chat with John was delightful. Paris and Gretta filled a void left by the absence of our canine companions. The breakfast was exceptional! It was easy to find. Decor very busy and cluttered. Room clean but shower was almost dangerous. Tub had no handle or non skid mat. Curtain too long and got in the way on the floor. Sink was in a corner with no space for toiletries. Bed was comfortable. Didn’t even see the proprietor but access was simple. Had to leave very early but no offer for at least a cold breakfast.

Lovely, eclectic decor with lots of color-it really made me smile. Great use of seating areas, inside and out. Lots of fun snacks/treats throughout, as well as a little nook where we could get a glass of wine at the end of the day. I was glad that we chose to stay at Fairfield Place-thanks!

During my time as a traveler, I have been to many bed and breakfasts across the country. There was always someone to greet me, show me where things were, and provide a history of the house. Unfortunately, this was not my experience at Fairfield Place in Shreveport. By far, my experience was one of the most uncomfortable and impersonal to date: I received a text from someone telling me where I could find my materials, asking if I would be eating breakfast, etc. I responded and was replied to, in short form. When I arrived, I referred to the text and located the materials. After getting into my room, I read the enclosed letter and realized I had not been given an item. I sent a text to the person I’d spoken to about parking, since all the spaces were taken in front of the house, telling her about the missing item. She responded with, “Ok.” There was no clarifying or helping me navigate the situation. Plus, the house was cold. I called the number at the bottom of the letter for contact and someone else responded telling me he wasn’t available but asked if she could help me with something. The heat was turned on, after the call, and still, I had yet to see a single, live person. I felt plopped down in a space where I was left to navigate an environment where I had paid for comfort, but was left to figure it all out. As a person of color, I will never stay here again. It was uncomfortable and degrading. Poor hospitality makes EVERYTHING ugly.

If you are looking for an exceptional accommodation you should choose this one! The house is extravagant inside and outside in a very charming way. It is very quiet,.clean and close to the center. The breakfast was very tasty and generous! We enjoyed our stay in such a crazy but outstanding house :-))

This was a wonderful stay in every way. Truly a gem of a place. The owner is a chef and he's a wonderful host, and breakfast is obviously a real treat. Will be staying here again upon my return to Shreveport in about a month.

Everything about this bed and breakfast was great! It was in a quiet area and the place itself was quiet as well. Breakfast was very good. I loved that there were always drinks, snacks, coffee and tea available any time of day or night. It was clean and the bed in the Thornhill Suite where I stayed was beyond comfortable. I just loved everything about it.

Very cool eclectic room with all kinds of cool touches including a little gift bag, all kinds of snacks and different teas. We were very upset that we were unable to stay for breakfast which we only imagine was also good because you can tell the owners take pride in this little sanctuary
