Booked via Hotels - I book 100+ nights a year with them.
I turn up - and the place is like a childrens warzone. Nobody at reception - finally found a staff member after 10 minutes, who phoned for someone to come down.
Turns out all of the first floor is given over to asylum seekers - hence all the kids running around (the hotel is out of town, so there's not really anywhere for them to go). I am not against kids having a good time, or refugees - we have had two living in our house for nine months - but staying in a hotel where we wanted peace and quiet when it full of bored kids running around would not be my choice.
Which I explained to the receptionist when I asked if I could cancel without penalty - yes was the answer - apparently he understood our reasoning. So I booked another local hotel and we left.
The same day - there is one night's accommodation charged to my credit card.
I phoned hotels, it was remarkably difficult to get the sequence of events to be understood - but after he called the hotel - I am told the charge stands, as it was a condition on the booking.
Well, as far as I am concerned, I asked, as was told I could cancel without penalty. Plus - the hotel was misrepresented - whether that is the hotel's fault or that of Hotels.com I really don't care. If I had known ahead that I was booking into a cross between an asylum seekers hotel and a kids holiday camp - I would not have booked in the first place.
Seriously unamused with both the hotel, and Hotels.com

Loved the staff, room was large and nice. But two things made it less than stellar. No food available after nine thirty pm, not even a packet of crisps or peanuts. That is just crazy. Especially with no pub or restaurant within walking distance. The second issue was a broken window that caused me to hear highway noise all night long.

The Address is a lovely hotel. We were welcomed by a very nice young man, who couldn't do enough for us. Anything we needed, he was just a call away. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We dined in the Mcgettigan cookhouse. The food was delicious. Breakfast next morning was excellent. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Had a lovely stay.

Don’t expect to get any sleep if you stay here. It backs onto a major carriageway. Asylum seekers are also permanent residents here. High prices and low quality.

Great place to stay on the outskirts of Dublin. Easy to find after leaving the ferry and is located close to a park & ride which is convenient for getting into Dublin. Hotel is lovely, rooms spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly and attentive and the restaurant is great with a good menu and again amazing staff

While it is a beautiful hotel, with an amazing exterior terrasse and restaurant and great staff, there is nothing around the hotel nor shuttle to the airport.

Constant noise from the lift motors going every few seconds from Room 213. Breakfast was poor, overcooked eggs when ordered. Probably wouldn't stay unless it was essential. Spending €229 for a night wasn't good value.

We loved it here! Modern clean and the staff was wonderful! The heat we couldn’t figure out (Americans) so we boiled and the hotel is right next to the highway so get a room far from that..otherwise wonderful!

Hotel was lovely, staff super friendly, although right beside the busy n7 room was quite, my biggest issue was the room and hotel in general was way to warm . The heat in the room mad it stuffy a small issue . I’d definitely stay here again

The location was convenient as an overnight stop before going on to Dublin airport. Quick 20 minute drive to drop off rental car.
Specifically reserved a 2 bed room. I was "upgraded" to a better room on a higher floor, but it only had 1 bed. The desk was annoyed and I had to prove my reservation was for a 2 bed room.
The room was at least 25C. While it was a most 18C outside. No windows that can open. No way to regulate room temp. A 15 cm desk fan was the only solution. Can't image an actual hot day.

All the staff we met and talked with were so kind, helpful, and Address Citywst had the BEST seafood chowder of the trip ❤️ The staff went above and beyond to make our holiday to Ireland unforgettable! When our taxi we had set up was going to be coming an hour late, one of the staff went out of her way to call another taxi service for us to make sure our last night in Ireland was PERFECT and a lot less stressful without having to navigate through Dublin

I was issued a room that hadn’t been made up, after returning to reception I was allocated another room.
The restaurant next door was very untidy, I moved tables as there was waste food on the floor under my table.
The new table had bread crumbs on the top so had to be cleaned.

Hotel met our needs very well. We stayed for one night after a trip to tayto park. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful though out the hotel from reception to breakfast room etc. We had 3 little ones with us who were very much looked after.

Only stayed for a sleep as we had a party with work the following day. The room was lovely, and they gave us a free room upgrade. Rest of hotel seemed lovely but weren't there long enough to enjoy. The carpark is secured by a closed gate but extremely tight spaces.

The hotel is modern with clean rooms. The breakfast was very good and table service which was a nice change. The only negative was the noise from the nearby N7 was incredibly loud all night ... this resulted in the worst night sleep I have ever had in a hotel...never again.

Hotel is ideal as a base for sightseeing in Dublin and surrounding area, but only if you have a car. It's not really close to any amenities or public transport.
The evening food (and cocktails) in the on-site restaurant, Mcgettigans, is very good.
Staff throughout the hotel are friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast was excellent and staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Rooms are nice but, in the one we had anyway, could do with a bit of a makeover. Our room had a double and single bed, and whilst mattresses/pillows were comfortable, both bed bases popped and groaned with the slightest of movement. They definitely needed replaced, as I suspect did the carpet and coffee table (which had peeling varnish).
I think most travelers these days expect a king-size bed. No fridge in room.
The bathroom was adequate but the bath/shower was on the small side, with one of my pet peeves, a shower curtain. The shower was slightly old fashioned and needed to be modernised. There was also no shaving mirror.
The room had no air conditioning and opening the window meant having to listen to the noise from the busy N7 all night. Thankfully getting a fan for the room wasn't an issue and was provided almost immediately.
The secure underground parking was great, and there is a small gym.

Very hard to find the hotel in the 1st place as its not in Citywest, its in Kingswood. Modern exterior and well laid out. Great to get free underground parking. Professional greeting at reception. Bedroom was modern and clean but for the price paid, i felt there could have been more bathroom essentials or some biscuits with tea & coffee packets. Coffee was awful but thats just my personal preference. Had dinner in McGettigans cookhouse which had a lovely atmosphere & helpful staff. Food was delicious but a little expensive as was the wine and bottled still water. I was very disappointed that the bedroom was alongside main road and the room wasnt soundproof. I couldnt open the window due to the noise and sleep wasnt great either because of this. If booking, i would advise you to look for a room at the other side of the hotel. You should then find it comfortable and sleep well. I didnt order breakfast the next morning as again it was too costly for me. Check out was simple with early check out box placed beside the lift. Location good if you want to be close to Citywest.
